Revealing mistake: While Straker, Foster and Dr. Jackson are standing over Catherine's body at the end, the "dead" woman's eyelids are twitching. (00:46:30)

Sapphire & Steel (1979)
Revealing mistake: "The Creature's Revenge" (Adventure 3, Part 2): This apartment building has unbelievably clean elevator cables. Steel takes off his coat and then ties a knot in the cable - without getting a single grease smudge on his hands or his pristine white shirt. (00:06:45)

The Man From U.N.C.L.E. (1964)
The Test Tube Killer Affair - S4-E2
Revealing mistake: The stolen green sedan has normal windows in exterior shots. But in all the closer views (shot in-studio and processed with rear-screen projection), the car has no glass in its windshield. (00:41:00)

The Bible (1966)
Revealing mistake: When Abram and Lot journey out into the wilderness, we see a beautiful, sweeping, panoramic crane shot of their entourage - and there are several prominently visible tire tracks all over the desert floor. (01:30:30)

The Bible (1966)
Revealing mistake: Noah plays a bone flute to lure the animals into the ark. But although he's moving his fingers and pretending to vary the notes, there are no pitch holes drilled anywhere on the instrument. (00:50:15)

UFO (1970)
Revealing mistake: In the interior shots of Mobile 1's cockpit, we see that there's a crew of 3 and that the pilot is black. But in shots of the exterior (miniature model stock footage), there's only one occupant, a pilot, and it's a doll with distinctively Caucasian features. (00:26:30)

Blake's 7 (1978)
Revealing mistake: Avon & Co. are supposedly racing through the woods and cloudy skies of Gauda Prime in a flyer. But the reflections on the vehicle's windscreen never move. (00:38:45)

Blake's 7 (1978)
Revealing mistake: When Scorpio flies from its launch bay cut in the Xenon cliff face, it's broad daylight (and no, the planet does not have twin suns) - but the ship casts a shadow on the cliff above itself. There's no possible light source from that angle other than studio lights on the ship model. (00:01:20)

Blake's 7 (1978)
Revealing mistake: Scorpio is attacked upon entering Gauda Prime's atmosphere. The ship lurches left: everyone leans left and hangs on. The ship lurches right: everyone leans right and hangs on. The ship rolls over a full 360 degrees: no one leans or hangs on, nor do they fall out of their unbelted flight chairs. And oddly, those same chairs that held fast here tip over with ease later, when Avon escapes with Orac. (00:13:45 - 00:16:15)

Blake's 7 (1978)
Revealing mistake: A shot of Scorpio en route to Betafarl falls victim to a special effects problem. The camera shooting the model was apparently bumped and shaken, so the ship is suddenly wobbling so badly it's a wonder it can keep a straight course. (00:22:20)

Star Trek (1966)
Revealing mistake: The Horta's round tunnels have perfectly even striations and are obviously factory-manufactured tubes. Acid secreted by an elliptical creature burning through solid rock would not create a perfect circle. The Horta is visibly not chewing, sculpting or smoothing the sides. No acid burning method would leave patterned stripes on the walls, either. (00:18:15)

Blake's 7 (1978)
Revealing mistake: A bad effects matte causes one of the two ships approaching Xenon to partially dissolve along the way. (00:03:55)

Sapphire & Steel (1979)
Revealing mistake: "Railway Station" (Adventure 2, Part 3): Steel orders Tulley to light all of the abandoned station's lamps with matches. But after the lamps are lit, they give off a steady illumination and don't flicker. It's obvious that they all have electric bulbs in them. (00:11:00 - 00:15:00)

Blake's 7 (1978)
Revealing mistake: Scorpio is in stationary orbit over the planet Malodaar - but a shaky special effects matte causes the "stationary" ship to wiggle and wobble severely. (00:00:45)

Blake's 7 (1978)

Blake's 7 (1978)
Revealing mistake: The dead man, shot by the game computer in the orbiter's corridor, is still moving his fingers, and later moves his arm from resting on his chest to flat on the floor. (00:06:05)

The Man From U.N.C.L.E. (1964)
The Dippy Blonde Affair - S2-E16
Revealing mistake: In the opening sequence, stock footage re-used from the first season has the peculiar result of turning a brief part of the otherwise all-color episode black-and-white. (00:00:20)

Blake's 7 (1978)
Headhunter - S4-E6
Revealing mistake: After its "borrowed" head is blown off and it rampages through the base headless, the android mysteriously gains 10 inches in height and has much longer arms. If they'd just found a shorter actor to wear the headless costume, it might have looked more convincing. (00:44:05)

Headhunter - S4-E6
Revealing mistake: When Avon pushes a button to call Tarrant, the entire control panel tips upward, revealing that it's not anchored to the console at all. (00:12:50)

Star Trek (1966)
Revealing mistake: Zarabeth tells Spock that Zor Khan only left her what was necessary to survive in the ice age. Mascara, eyeliner, lipstick and hairspray were apparently considered survival necessities. Yes, we know the actress "had" to wear make-up. But in a prehistoric setting, it shouldn't look as though she did. She could and should have been given a more "natural" make-up job - and an unlacquered hairdo. (00:38:25)
