Show generally

Revealing mistake: "Night of the Running Death": During West and Gordon's poker game at the end, Gordon tilts the table by at least 30 degrees - and none of the poker chips, cards or cash moves an inch. Apparently, everything was glued down. (00:44:30)

The Night of the Wolf - S2-E27

Revealing mistake: Though the stock footage is of a real wolf, the animal West wrestles with is too-obviously a dog wearing a fake pair of wolf ears. In later wrestling matches between West and the wolves, the attacking beast is a stuffed prop that never moves its legs, head or jaws at all. (00:03:30)

Moon of the Wolf (1972)

Revealing mistake: Louise kills the werewolf by firing three "blessed" bullets at him. But the third time she fires, the revolver doesn't revolve: the chamber remains stationary.

Moon of the Wolf (1972)

Revealing mistake: Just before Louise shoots him, Andrew turns to face the camera, and the blood packs under his shirt are very visibly outlined.

Hawaii Five-O (1968)

Little Girl Blue - S5-E20

Revealing mistake: During the bunker siege, footage recycled from an earlier episode creates the sudden appearance of a white station wagon parked beside the police cruisers that isn't there in all the other shots. (00:41:40)

Star Trek (1966)

Charlie X - S1-E3

Revealing mistake: When McCoy is examining Charlie in sickbay, several shots of the diagnostic panel show a clear reflection of Charlie's upright profile. But Charlie isn't sitting up during the exam - he's lying flat on the table. The close-ups of the panel were shot while actor Robert Walker Jr. was either sitting or standing nearby. (00:04:10)

Monk (2002)

Mr. Monk's Favorite Show - S8-E1

Revealing mistake: The car that explodes isn't sitting in a striped parking lot space. In fact, it's very obviously parked out in the middle of the lot's traffic lane, well away from any other vehicles, precisely because the special effects crew are about to blow it up.

Duel (1971)

Revealing mistake: At the reptile farm, the phone booth Mann uses to try and call for help has no phone lines attached to it, above or below ground (you can see that there are no underground wires when the truck mows the booth down). It's definitely not a wireless/radio telephone, either. There should be lines running to it, but there are none. (00:57:00)

A More Permanent Hell - S2-E20

Revealing mistake: Mt. Vesuvius is erupting and LaCroix's villa is collapsing around him. But while the ground "shakes," statuary falls over and the walls cave in, look closely at the fountain/pool in the center of the room. There's not a drop splashing out of it. In fact, the water's surface is smooth as glass.

Hawaii Five-O (1968)

Fools Die Twice - S5-E6

Revealing mistake: A loud, fierce gun battle rages between dozens of 5-0 sharpshooters, Army MPs and the desperadoes inside the payroll office. Amidst all the high-powered rifle fire, a woman in a blue dress strolls casually by in the background, well within bullet range, and never even turns her head to see what all the ruckus is about. Gee, you'd think colossal shooting wars broke out on her block every day. (00:13:30)

The Twilight Zone (1985)

The Card - S2-E13

Revealing mistake: When Linda pulls The Card out of her wallet in close-up, it's twice the length of an average credit card so that we can read the name printed on it. In the next shot, though, it shrinks back to standard size. (00:17:05)

Trilogy of Terror (1975)

Revealing mistake: Segment 2: After the doctor pulls off her wig and long after any residual movement from that action should be possible, the "dead" Therese moves her head slightly on the pillow. (00:43:50)

I Spy (1965)

Revealing mistake: There are several dead giveaways that the New York City street Solo and Illya walk down is actually in Los Angeles. They pass Mexican taco/burrito stands and shops with "Happy Holidays" painted on the windows, yet it's warm and sunny and the passersby are in shirt sleeves. The windows also reflect a number of towering California palm trees. (00:40:00)
