Continuity mistake: When Luda is explaining the rules of the drag to Rome and the bloke in the Challenger, he has his hands on his knees, then in the following shot they're behind his back, then again in the next shot they're on his knees. All in quick succession. (00:47:00)

Continuity mistake: When they are about to race against Fonzie and Fabio the two muscle cars, the blue one and the orange one, are parked in a line. Moments later, when Roman moves forward and stops there is only the orange muscle car there. (00:45:50 - 00:46:55)

Continuity mistake: At the end of the first race, Brian speeds over the finish line then stops in front of Tej, and when the camera cuts to a wider shot of Tej the crowd is a few feet away from Tej in all directions, but in the following closeup Tej is now surrounded with people. (00:12:35)

Continuity mistake: Brian wears sneakers with white laces during the race. In the close-ups of his feet on the brakes, they're laced up differently through the eyelets. (00:10:00 - 00:14:50)

Super Grover ★

Continuity mistake: When Brian and Roman are speeding down the highway to get to the boatyard, the camera cuts to inside police headquarters (I think). On the computer screen are two GPS signals (Brian and Roman), and it says 6th and 7th Street, but when it cuts to a wider angle it says 4th, 5th and 6th Street, indicating the screen has moved up instead of down. Factual error: In the first hijacking, one of the Honda Civics slips under the truck's trailer to avoid the road crew. Trailers with that much ground clearance do not exist, also trailers have a safety guard running the length of that space designed to prevent this very scenario from happening with a lower vehicle. The trailer has been modified to ride much higher than normal to make this stunt possible. The modifications to the lowered Honda are not sufficient to fit beneath an un-altered trailer. (00:02:35)

Continuity mistake: When Sean Boswell is driving the red Lancer for the first time at the docks, right after the guy in the orange sweater says, "Will someone please teach this guy to drift", Sean crashes the back of his car against a pile of wood, and you can see the spoiler falling on the ground. In the next shot, you see Sean's face, and in the background the spoiler is back on the car. (00:45:20)

Continuity mistake: While Brian is running the Eclipse through the stadium parking lot, he shifts and the car jumps from 120 mph to 140 mph in about one second. (00:03:35)

Visible crew/equipment: In the first race when Sean and the rich kid in the red viper are racing each other the rich kid pulls up to the black ute that is following them and yells "whoooo" and puts his fist up, you can see the camera mounted on the side of the viper through the reflection of the black ute. (00:06:15)

Continuity mistake: In the opening hijack scene, the semi obviously has two sets of rear wheels on the trailer, but when it comes to the scene where the black Honda is under the trailer, there is only one set of rear wheels. (00:01:11)

Continuity mistake: At the end of the movie, right before the race against Vin Diesel, the two cars are placed very close, within a foot or two of each other. A couple of shots later, right before the girlfriend says 'Go.', the cars are a couple of feet further apart, even though they haven't yet started the race. (01:32:40)

Continuity mistake: In the final race when the 350Z rear ends the Mustang and rides up on the embankment, as it starts to come back down the right headlight falls out (left one broke when he hit him). In the next scene it is miraculously back in place. (01:29:05)

Continuity mistake: At the start of the movie the hole in the back on Sean's car vanishes in some scenes. (00:04:05)

Continuity mistake: In the scene where Sean is making his first pickup for Han, from the large man in the jacuzzi, he is dressed in only a towel. When the large man throws him out of the establishment, he is fully dressed. Are we to believe that the large, angered man who Sean just demanded money from, gave him time to get fully dressed before throwing him out? Or that the large man dressed Sean before throwing him out? Neither of these scenarios make sense. (00:34:00)

Continuity mistake: In the school canteen scene when Sean is talking to Twinkie for the first time, the food on Sean's chopsticks and the position of them alternates from being in his mouth to back out or on the table between shots, even though Sean is visible in each shot. Also if you watch his drink he takes a sip and puts the glass down, but in the next shot a second later he is drinking from it again. (00:19:00 - 00:19:50)

Continuity mistake: After the street race at the start, Leon alerts everyone that the cops are coming. While everyone is scattering you see a closeup of Brian running around to the door of his car and opening it, then a bird's eye view of his car with no-one near it. Then you see other people running and getting into their cars, then you see Brian run up to his car, open the door again and get in. (00:22:52)

Continuity mistake: After Brian and Dom start to run from the cops, they go around a corner. If you look in the rear windshield, the chasing police car goes right through the intersection, the camera goes to a different shot, and the police car crashes. (00:25:10)

Continuity mistake: When Brian has picked up Dom from the first race, the Chinese guys drive up behind him. If you notice out of Dom's window it is a blue motorbike that appears, in the following shot the motorbikes on Dom's side are both red. (00:25:40)

Revealing mistake: When Brian picks up Dom he runs away from cops. He drives between two cop cars and then jumps. When you look carefully you can see a ramp for the car. (00:02:30)

Continuity mistake: When Brian pulls up to Dom's garage towing a red car, Jessie looks under the hood, and the shot from inside the car shows Jessie in one shot with his arms down, in the next shot, he has them up or crossed. (00:37:25)
