Paint Misbehavin' - S3-E14

Question: I don't understand the last scene, in which the man from the paintball place is shown going home, and his wife complains about him buying frozen yogurt. Can someone explain?

Answer: He was asked to pick something up but was more interested in playing paintball, so he didn't get the right item his wife wanted. She was annoyed at him for getting the wrong item.

Question: What was the purpose of the terrorists with RPGs blowing up the two guard shacks?

Answer: Simply put, it's to eliminate possible guards in the guard hut. Better safe than sorry from the terrorist's point of view.

Answer: Hayden Christensen was announced in January 2024 as voicing Shadow.

Ssiscool

Answer: Robert Pattinson or Jason Griffith.

Answer: Season 3, when they received the Ninja powers, the glasses didn't work with the ninja hood and mask.

Answer: Presumably, because his eyesight has improved.

This answers the question of why, but not the original question of when.

Titanic (1997)

Question: I know that originally, Cal was supposed to kill Fabrizio with an oar, and this scene was even partially filmed, but it was abandoned. Why was it scrapped?

Answer: This was cut, and Fabrizio's death scene was re-edited because James Cameron felt Cal was turning into a cartoon villain by that point.

Speed (1994)

Question: When the bus enters the airport and drives over the spike strip, the tyres should have been shredded. Why did the bus not lose speed and therefore blow up?

DEvans

Answer: Also, when the bus runs over the spikes, the camera is more close-up on it, and possibly some of the tires may have just missed hitting the spikes out of view of the camera. So, that would keep it speeding OK with just SOME of the tires shredded (but not all).

Answer: You wouldn't necessarily lose speed just because you've got a deflating tyre. It would become harder to control as the tyre deflated, but with an engine that can produce a lot of torque, there is no reason why it should slow down much, if at all. Also, as a heavy vehicle, it featured dual tyres on the rear which would've aided the drivability of the bus.

Answer: To add to the other answers, larger trucks and buses use different types of tires. Regular cars and light trucks usually have tires lined with two steel belts. Heavier vehicles use tires with four steel belts, making them more durable.

raywest

Answer: Spike strips are designed to deflate a tyre over a short time, not instantly, so as to avoid a blowout and possible accident. The tyres are going down over time as they should. That's why Jack has to tie the steering wheel in place, as it's harder to control the bus with the tyre shredding.

Lucifer (2015)

A Devil of My Word - S3-E24

Question: What is the red stuff on Lucifer's wings? I first thought it was Chloe's blood, but there was too much and she wasn't bleeding anyway. Lucifer had his wings out to stop the bullets, so he wasn't hit. So, what was on his wings?

The_Iceman

Answer: It's Lucifer's blood from when his wings got hit by the bullets. As Lucifer spreads his wings, they're white, and before he wraps them around Chloe, you see a bullet hit his wing above his right shoulder, and the spot turns red. After that, he continues to get shot in the wings before fleeing.

Bishop73

Agreed. His wings take damage and "bleed" similar to how he bleeds when Decker is around.

Sonic Adventure 2

Question: I have heard that certain levels within Sonic Adventure 2 have rings that are impossible for the player to normally reach. Whether it's out of bounds, within an instant death area, etc. I know Shadow's White Jungle level is infamous for this. What levels have these unobtainable rings, and where can I find more information about them?

Saw IV (2007)

Question: Is it true that Saw IV was originally going to take place at the same time as the first Saw instead of Saw III? (04:12:12 - 04:31:23)

Answer: Apparently so, at least in earlier pitches/drafts for Saw IV. It also apparently would have included a scene of Strahm entering the bathroom only to find Adam from the first Saw, who had been left to die in there by Jigsaw minutes earlier, and that Adam would have attempted to shoot Strahm out of fear, prompting Strahm to kill him in self-defense.

hsssjusuh

Answer: Having searched high and low, there are no apparent online articles surrounding this theory.

The Green Mile (1999)

Question: When Dale is being hooked up to the electric chair, shouldn't he have been able to tell if the sponge was wet or not? If so, why did he not speak up?

Danny1129

Answer: He may not have been aware it was supposed to be wet. They probably hadn't told him all the details of what was going to happen. That, or in those terrifying final moments, knowing he was about to die, he simply forgot.

I can't remember exactly, but at this stage, wasn't his face uncovered? So, would have seen that the sponge should have been in water.

Ssiscool

No, the first thing they do is put the hood over him.

Cube (1997)

Question: I have heard something about Cube having an alternate or extended ending. Are there any videos of this by chance?

Mlp1327

Answer: Not to my knowledge. The director said on Twitter/X that there was an extra scene during the ending that had been shot but that it was immediately removed from the film after the first assembly cut. He also said it will never be seen and joked that he "burned it and stomped on it." (Chances are the footage is just lost.) So I'd assume whatever it is REALLY didn't work or was too silly.

TedStixon

Answer: From Lost Media Wiki: According to several eyewitnesses, in certain theatrical screenings of the film, the scene in question was shown. It allegedly depicts Kazan walking out onto a beach (or a cliff's edge, depending on who you ask) on a purple alien planet, overlooking an endless ocean, as mechanical grinding noises are heard. As he turns around, both his footprints and the cube's exit itself vanish. Some have also reported that the sky is then shown, full of exoplanets. A pinch of salt is needed; however, this statement does have 4 sources.

Black Hawk Down (2001)

Question: There's a scene where they are getting ambushed by the humvee and then Wex is cut in half. Right before that, it shows a soldier pick up a chopped off hand and put it in his bag. Why did he do that and secretly?

Answer: My thought when I saw it was that he just didn't want to leave any comrade behind, even if it was a small body part. It's gruesome but it appears he's being driven by his emotions and loyalty.

raywest

If I recall, one of the mottos used in the film was "Leave No Man Behind." So, as the other answer says, by picking it up he is making sure no part of someone is left behind.

Ssiscool

Question: Why did Snow laugh at Katniss when she directed her arrow at Coin and not him? Was it because he knew he was seconds from death (from the crowd) and so he literally wanted the last laugh?

Answer: Agree with the other answer, but would add that Snow is laughing because he knows Coin has been publicly exposed as a fraud. He considers it as a small personal victory, even though he's about to die.

raywest

Answer: He laughs because he knows that even in his current situation, he still has some ability to control and manipulate Katniss, such as he always has. That's my belief in any aspect, but it's just subjective as no definitive answer can be given.

Saw (2004)

Chosen answer: The key to Adam's chains. Jigsaw tells him this before locking him in the room at the end. Amanda was supposed to put it around his neck, rather than just throwing it on his chest.

Phaneron

Where exactly have you got that from that she was supposed to put it around his neck? Is it said in one of the films?

I don't recall where I read or learned that, unfortunately. It's definitely not said in "Saw III" in the flashback scene that shows Jigsaw and Amanda prepping Adam and Dr. Gordon's trap, so it might be on the film's commentary track or the director or writers might have said it in an interview.

Phaneron

Since Amanda was helping Jigsaw, he might have told her to put it around Adam's neck.

It must have been said in a later sequel if nothing was mentioned in this one, as a lot of people have repeated the same scenario throughout this thread.

If I recall, it's been a good few months since I watched this one and over a year since I saw the third. It's shown in Saw 3 how Amanda helps set the trap up and is told then.

Titanic (1997)

Question: When Jack and Rose encounter Thomas Andrews in the smoking room, he gives Rose a life jacket and says, "Good luck to you, Rose." Does he not really care whether Jack lives or dies? Why not wish them both good luck?

Answer: She's the one he has a relationship with, and she's the one he's talking to. Jack isn't part of the conversation, so Mr Andrews addresses Rose alone because she's the one who's listening to him.

Answer: Would add to the other accurate answer that Andrews would have little concern about Jack because he is a male third-class passenger. It's unlikely he knew about Jack and Rose's romance. Andrews also knows there are not enough lifeboats, and women and the first-class passengers will get top priority in leaving the ship. He would consider Jack's fate already sealed, while Rose can be saved.

raywest

I believe he also only had the one life jacket that was his own, and being a gentleman, he gave it to the lady, Rose, as an act of etiquette.

Schindler's List (1993)

Question: Although the movie itself is in English, how is it that in a lot of cases both Poles and Germans all seem to be speaking the same language? Are they speaking Polish or German?

Answer: They're speaking both. Spielberg did an interview about it and said, "I had Germans speaking German and Poles speaking Polish only on certain occasions when I wanted to pretty much show what it was like and what it sounded like, and then only let those moments come across in English where I had to make a point." Titanic (1997)

Question: In the scene with the church service, what was Jack trying to do? Ask someone to tell Rose to come outside? Or go inside and sit with her? Both seem like very bad ideas, with her mother and Cal being right there.

Answer: Jack wants either. He wants to speak to Rose by any means, if that involves going into the service or getting someone to bring Rose out.
