Continuity mistake: When Johnny summons Water Omotics, it is shown to have 1400 attack points and 1200 defence points, as shown by the point display that appears after the monster is summoned. On Johnny's next turn, in the shot of him placing the Spirit of the Harp monster card on the duel mat, the Water Omotics card can be seen, and it now has 1200 attack points and 1400 defence points. Continuity mistake: When Yugi opens the door to the lower level, Tea approaches beside him. At first, she is slightly behind Yugi, but when the shot cuts, the two are side by side. (00:02:16)

Revealing mistake: When Yugi and Tea come across the lower level, in the shot of Tea asking if it is part of the exhibit, Yugi's eyes are missing. (00:02:18)

Continuity mistake: When Kaiba is testing the new duel disk system, Mokuba is watching from the room above. In the background, there is a wall that is a light teal colour to the left of the shot and another wall further back that is a dark teal colour. When the shot cuts to Mokuba saying "You're crazy if you go through with this, Seto," the wall behind him is entirely the dark teal colour. (00:05:40)

Continuity mistake: When the duel robot ends its first turn, in the shot of the monster being set face down, Kaiba has his right arm lowered. When the shot cuts to Kaiba, his right hand is suddenly raised and holding onto one of the duelling cards. (00:08:59)

Other mistake: When Battle Ox attacks the facedown monster, it is revealed to be the monster Cyber Jar. The attack and defence points display shows that it has 900 attack points and 1000 defence points. Cyber Jar has 900 defence points, not 1000. (00:09:15)

Continuity mistake: After the robot summons Blue-Eyes White Dragon, it ends its turn after seeing Kaiba's face-down card. In the shot where the robot says "End turn," the cards on Kaiba's duel disk are missing the illustrations. (00:10:29)

Continuity mistake: After Kaiba summons Dragon Seeker, the duel robot begins saying "Analysing Dragon Seeker." There are six cards shown in the card slots on the robot. When the shot cuts, there are only five cards in the slots. Also, one of the slots that was empty in the previous shot now suddenly has a card in it when the shot cuts. (00:11:02)

Other mistake: Just after the duel robot summons Blue Eyes Ultimate Dragon, in the shot of the duel robot says "Analysing tournament rulebook", a display of the robot's duel field is shown, and Blue Eyes White Dragon can be seen on it instead of Blue Eyes Ultimate Dragon. (00:12:28)

Continuity mistake: Just after Kaiba has won the duel, a scientist says, "Shut down the power source right away," whilst standing next to Mokuba. It then cuts to a closer shot of Mokuba, and the scientist standing next to him cannot be seen. (00:15:21)

Revealing mistake: Just after Kaiba says, "With all three Egyptian god cards, I will be unstoppable," it cuts to a shot pulling away from him. In the shot, the Obelisk the Tormentor card on his duel disk does not have the illustrations drawn onto it. (00:15:35)

Continuity mistake: When Joey tells the duel disk store employee that he wants to enter the tournament, the computer and keyboard in front of the employee are positioned to his left. When the shot cuts, the computer and keyboard are directly in front of him. (00:05:33)
