Continuity mistake: In the Forest, Higgens' tower is darker on the left side, indicating the light source or the sun is shining on it from the right. Yet the trees around it and Sarah Hanes' grave that is right next to the tower have their shadows on the right side, as if the sun is shining from the left.

Continuity mistake: Beta kills Marry/Gamma and places her next to a tree. During the scuffle with her, his mask was half ripped and another Whisper comes up to him, now recognizing his face. Beta kills the man, then the camera cuts back to Mary's body, and her head is now turned to the right and her hair has been brushed away from her eye. She also goes from being slouched over to nearly sitting up right against the tree. All this while she's just a dead body against the tree. (00:17:04)

Continuity mistake: When Bobbie Jo holds up the jar with the spider in it and tells Hellboy that she got the cargo back, he is looking straight ahead towards the wall of the church. In the next shot angle, he's suddenly looking at her face. (01:29:16)

Continuity mistake: After Beta kills Mary/Gamma, he drags her body and sets it up by a tree, dragging her by her hair. There is a jump cut as he walks away, and her eyes move to a different position, as well as the amount of hair over her face changes. (00:16:25)

Trivia: When Frank Castle is in the jail cell, he has nightmares and flashbacks to his family before and during their execution at the hands of the mafia. In one of the shots, his daughters can be seen wearing Spider-Man pajamas when squirting water guns at him. This is a homage to the Punisher's very first appearance in 1979's comic, The Amazing Spider-Man #129, in spite of the director's desire to distance the movie from the comics as much as possible.

Trivia: The image/symbol of the Xenomorph on the floor of the sacrificial chamber is the same or similar to the symbol used in the marketing of Alien 3 and seen on the movie's cover and posters. This same symbol is also on the necklaces of the people being sacrificed, seen both in the flashbacks of them lying down, and sometimes visible on the decayed corpses in the modern time of the movie. Trivia: The helicopter approaches an ice breaker ship called the Piper Maru. This is named after the X-Files episode of the same name, which also had an ice breaker ship called the Piper Maru, which in that show was named after Gillian Anderson's daughter. Coincidentally, Lance Henriksen, who is a main character in this movie, also appeared in X-Files and got his own spin-off show as well, Millennium. (00:06:42)

Trivia: For the title screen, the title of the film Alien vs Predator is first spelled out in the Yautja (Predator race) language. Then it changes to the green text from Mother in the first Alien movie, as a way of having the title shown in a style from both franchises. (00:00:42)

Trivia: The camera lens and style at the start of the film is a clear reference to Hal 9000 from the film 2001: A Space Odyssey in how it's shaped and looks, as well as the framing and blocking with the film camera. (00:01:33)

Trivia: When Weyland is in his office near the beginning of the movie, he's playing with his pen. He starts tapping it on his desk between his fingers, alternating which two fingers he taps between. This is what Bishop does in Aliens (albeit with a knife) with his hand on top of Hudson's; maybe it was programmed into Bishop's intelligence.

Trivia: The altars in the Chamber of Sacrifices of the pyramid are exactly arranged as the original hibernation pods in the Alien movie (1979).

Trivia: There is a dipping bird in the background of the receiving station in Nebraska just like the one in the first Alien movie. Also, the morse code in the background says, "whoever wins. we lose."

Trivia: During production, the tagline "Their war. Our world." was suggested. It was ultimately passed on for "Whoever wins... we lose." However, the original tagline was subsequently recycled and used for the 2007 film "Transformers."

Character mistake: When fighting the Guard Scorpion in Mako Reactor No. 1, it says to "Attack while its tail is up!", using the "it's" as in "it is," which is grammatically incorrect. It should be "Attack while its tail is up!" with no apostrophe.

Trivia: The enemy type, the "Blue Milk Mushrooms," are likely inspired by the real-life Indigo Milk Cap mushroom (Lactarius indigo). This unusual fungus is known for releasing a bright blue, milk-like liquid when cut, making the in-game name a direct nod to real natural mushrooms like this.

Continuity mistake: In FMVs, Lara has long hair in a ponytail, but in-game, her hair is short and tied in a bun. This is due to the fact that at the time, generating a moving ponytail for Lara in-game would take up too much memory.

Other mistake: After you defeat Jenova-Life, it says "Beacause you are a puppet." "Beacause" should be "Because".

Continuity mistake: After knocking Ganondorf down the horse in the final battle in Hyrule Castle, his sword is still in his hand. However, when he talks to Link immediately afterwards, it's suddenly in the sheath and he pulls it out.

Other mistake: When Cloud and Aerith visit the first 'Sephiroth clone', in Sector 5 in Midgar, she says to him "This guy are sick". That is a translation error and should say "This guy is sick".

Other mistake: At the end of the game, "congratulations" is spelled "conglaturation".
