Continuity mistake: In the opening cinematic, Ash is dressed up and just fine, with no damage to his clothing and a complete blue shirt on. During that scene, he shoots one enemy with his shotgun and then goes outside before gameplay starts. Now suddenly Ash's shirt is all ripped to shreds, with parts of his chest showing and a sleeve fully missing. However, he hasn't done anything yet that would cause his clothing to be damaged. He shoots one guy and walks outside.

Character mistake: When Ash talks to someone, a small scene plays out, and he will suddenly be standing there with nothing in his hand. But the moment the scene ends, he suddenly will still be holding whatever weapon he had before talking, like the shovel.

Trivia: When Lorraine Warren is dreaming about the demonic nun in her house, the demon actually reveals its name in 2 ways. The first is the way Lorraine realises at the end of the movie (written in the Bible). However, the audience is another way-the gold letters on the bookshelf behind her also spell out the name "Valak."

Trivia: While eating breakfast there are "letters" on the window ledge in front of Ed and Lorraine at their home. They spell out the word Valak, the name of the demon they encounter once they are in England. (00:30:30 - 00:32:00)

Trivia: The reporter from GBS on the street is played by Will Reeve, Christopher Reeve's son.

Trivia: Dave is a character from the Welcome Back Frank comics and has facial piercings in that issue. To be more comic accurate, actor Ben Foster got his face actually pierced IRL before filming his part. Some serious dedication to the role.

Trivia: The popsicle torture scene was taken directly from Punisher War Zone #1 from 1992, where he did the exact same things by pressing a popsicle into a man's back while using a blow torch on a slab of meat, even ending by putting the popsicle in the man's mouth after finishing.

Trivia: The earrings that Howard Saint gives to his wife in the film were actually real earrings and not fake ones for the movie. They were actual real Harry Winston diamonds and apparently worth a million dollars, and were used as a prop on set.

Trivia: As Frank is holding his dead family in his arms on the dock, you can see that his thumb is looking kind of strange and grey, with his thumbnail being grey. This is because, not long before filming this scene, Frank's actor, Thomas Jane, got his thumb stuck in a door in real life, and it had not yet fully healed.

Continuity mistake: When the one-eyed bandit is gaining on Rey from behind, her staff has vanished again, BB-8 is lower down on the side of her speeder, and the net holding him in place has again moved its fastening point to the middle of the top panel instead of the front. And amusingly, the other part of the net that's supposed to be holding BB-8 to the side is now not connected to anything at all and is even missing. (00:01:13)

Visible crew/equipment: After kicking Buffy away and she hits a smiley face on the wall, Blade jumps at her and kicks off the wall to kick her again. If you look closely at the left side of the screen where the bathroom mirror is, you can briefly see a camera for a couple of frames filming the action just on the edge of the frame. The lighting in the bathroom makes it sort of hard to see. (00:21:16)

Continuity mistake: After Buffy is kicked into a bathroom stall and is sitting on the toilet, she drops her wooden stake into the bowl and then reaches up with her arm to try and grab Blade's arm from his next attack. Then in the next shot, her arm is suddenly in a blocking position before only then trying to grab Blade's arm. (00:21:22)

Continuity mistake: Blade pushes Buffy up against the wall and is slowly pushing his knife closer and closer to her chest as she's trying to resist him. Between shots, the position of his thumb changes from being across his index finger to pressed into it, and the angle he's holding the knife also slightly changes from more vertical to almost horizontal. Continuity mistake: While Blade has Buffy pinned to the bathroom wall and is trying to push his knife into her shoulder, the artwork on the wall behind her changes between shots in position next to her shoulder. (00:21:45)

Continuity mistake: Just before Blade starts to push his knife into Buffy's shoulder, it shows him not touching her yet, with an inch or two of space between the knife and her body still. Then, in the next shot, the tip is already touching her. Also, Blade's facial expression changes between shots from almost calm to grimacing with strain. (00:21:46)

Revealing mistake: When Rey is speeding across the desert away from Teedo and his gang, the shot of her on her speeder has BB-8 not casting a shadow on the side. In most other shots, the shadow of the speeder has a "bump" on the side where BB-8 is tied to it, except in that shot and a few others. (00:01:07)

Continuity mistake: In the side shot of Teedo and his gang chasing Rey, the paint job on Teedo's speeder changes around a bit once more. Notably, on the back panel behind Teedo himself, on the front of the left engine, and some on the front part between his legs. Continuity mistake: When Teedo and his two goons are chasing Rey, the one with the metal mask is on Teedo's right, and the one with the one eye is on Teedo's left. There's a brief shot of Rey looking back at them, then it cuts to the trio again before they start to split up, and now suddenly the metal mask one has moved to Teedo's left and behind him, with the one eye guy out in front of Teedo directly.
