Sands of Jakku - S1-E1

Continuity mistake: For most of the episode, Rey's outfit is shown having long pieces of fabric or cloth hanging off the back of her clothes like robe flaps and one in a sort of loop. Usually, when she's running or moving, these are flapping or blowing around behind her as you'd expect. Yet strangely, when she's running up to the spot where the sandworm just grabbed BB-8 and went under, the flaps are staying in front of her legs as she runs, but as she stops and the camera cuts, they are behind her again. Continuity mistake: When Rey goes to wipe some blue slime off BB-8's eye, there are spots of slime on the side of his head. Between shots, the two smaller spots move, with the bigger one overlapping more of the line of the white rectangle, and the smaller one moving below some of the lines on his face. Also, another orange rectangle on his face appears between the others. (00:02:33)

Continuity mistake: After Rey runs her finger through the slime on BB-8's eye, he spins his head to shake off more slime from his head. Rey shields her face with her hand, then smiles at him again. Between these two moments, the slime on his lower body has moved around and changed. Notably, the white rectangle goes from having a corner sticking out of the slime to being fully covered, with more slime around it, and the slime on the right side moves further down and overlaps the dark crescent shape. Factual error: Through the entire episode, the nightwatcher sand worm is moving through sand like a whale does through water. It's a large, massive creature. Yet almost no sand is really displaced or moved around by it. Only a bit of shading is used and some bits of sand are shown thrown up when it surfaces, but there should be large "waves" or wakes of sand as it moves through it, especially in the faster moments. The most we see is it fills in BB-8's sand trail as it moves under it at one point. (00:00:43 - 00:02:25)

Continuity mistake: The head of the AT-AT Walker that Rey gets on to escape the sand worm is shown twice. In the second shot, as the sand worm is leaving, the details on top of the Walker's head have vanished. The outward square protrusions and ridges are now a flat surface on the Walker's head. And one of the parts of its front-facing gun has disappeared. (00:02:24)

Continuity mistake: When the sand worms pit out BB-8, we see a shot of the bottom of a downed AT-AT Walker's foot. The "toes" are visible and are a single piece with the foot fused to it, metal on metal, and the bottom of the toe is smooth and flat. But in the last shot of the episode, the bottom of the foot is shown and here the toe is not a solid piece with the foot, connoted by a hinge and joints with space. It has grooves and details on the bottom that are not smooth. More sand also appears mounded on the foot. (00:01:51 - 00:02:44)

Continuity mistake: After Rey gives the sand worm some junk to eat, it starts to turn around and leave while diving back down into the sand. There is a cut to a different angle as it's turning, and suddenly more of its tail is buried under the sand between shots. (00:02:24)

Continuity mistake: Once the sand worm leaves with the junk, Rey tells BB-8, "We are safe now." BB-8 then turns to look at her. Between shots, the three patches of blue slime on the side of his head change. In the first shot, they are all almost the same size as each other and shape like jelly beans. In the next shot, the top one is shaped like a guitar pick, the middle one has shrunk drastically, and the bottom one is now a triangle shape and overlapping the orange part of his head when it wasn't touching that before. Other mistake: After Rey and BB-8 escape the sand worm, she throws it a piece of junk to eat, and it catches the junk in its teeth. As it slowly moves away, in several frames, the animation blocking doesn't match up right, where the top tooth holding the junk at several points is not holding the piece of metal at all. Instead, it shows the top of it suspended in the gap between two teeth and not secure. (00:02:23)

The World is Not Enough trivia picture

Trivia: Bond briefly studies a photo of a fallen MI6 agent, but the film never names him. In Raymond Benson's novelization, however, the man is identified as 0012. This makes the book one of the rare places outside the films to expand on the double-O roster, giving a specific number to a character who otherwise remains anonymous on screen.

The Spy Who Loved Me trivia picture

Trivia: On Her Majesty's Secret Service features some of the series' best ski action, filmed by Willy Bogner Jr, who returned for three Roger Moore films starting with The Spy Who Loved Me. That film's legendary ski jump stunt was reportedly first suggested by George Lazenby during Majesty's, but the production lacked resources to attempt it. Producer Michael G. Wilson later credited a magazine photo of skier Rick Sylvester as the inspiration, though both accounts may be true.

Continuity mistake: After Rey gets on top of the AT-AT safely away from the sand worm, she is holding BB-8 in her arms. He's covered with blue slime in several spots. In the next shot, when she sets him down, the large blob and smaller blobs on his head suddenly become one, and then the slime on his lower body is significantly more. (00:02:07)

Continuity mistake: When Rey catches BB-8 and then runs, she scales a downed AT-AT Walker to get to safety. She runs up one of the Walker's back legs and stops at the top. Then, a couple of shots later, when the sand worm is looking up at her, suddenly the Walker's head is now in the direction she just came from. (00:02:14)

Revealing mistake: Just after Rey catches BB-8, she looks back at the sand worm. Suddenly, in this shot, you can see the rigging seam on its neck where it connects to the upper part of the mouth, which is not visible in other shots. Usually, the neck seam blends in or is not visible, but in this shot, you can see where the neck and top of the mouth are separate pieces in this 2D rig. (00:01:59)

Continuity mistake: BB-8 and Rey watch the sand worm go away after she feeds it and you can see BB-8 with the slime on him. It cuts to a different angle just before the droid asks her how she found him, and the slime spots on the side of his head change shape and size. Most notably the middle spot shrinks significantly and the bottom one over laps the edge of his head. Also between cuts Rey is suddenly much further back from BB-8. (00:02:25)

Trivia: If you try to use the roulette or prize box without an internet connection, you get a unique error response from each because it can't read your casino chips. The roulette croupier says the roulette wheel is malfunctioning and to come back later. And the prize box cashier says there's something wrong with the numbers.
