Awakening of Evil: Part 4 - S2-E40

Continuity mistake: When everyone realises who the real Marik is, the Millennium Rod that Marik is holding has the eye facing towards the main characters and away from Marik. Two shots later, the Millennium Rod has rotated so that the eye is facing towards the ground. (00:16:25)

Awakening of Evil: Part 4 - S2-E40

Character mistake: Kaiba says he will give Joey and Odion five minutes to get back on their feet, and whoever gets up first will be declared the winner. Less than a minute later, the guard looks at his watch and says, "They each have three minutes," even though only 35 seconds or so have passed in real time. (00:08:58 - 00:09:35)

Awakening of Evil: Part 4 - S2-E40

Continuity mistake: When the guard tells Tristan that the duel is still active (because Joey and Odion still have 200 life points), Kaiba says "Enough," prompting the guard to rotate his body slightly and turn his head to face Kaiba behind him. When the shot cuts, his body is not rotated, and his head is only turned 90 degrees. (00:08:33)

Awakening of Evil: Part 4 - S2-E40

Continuity mistake: When Tristan climbs onto the duelling platform to see if Joey is OK, his right hand is ahead of his left hand. The guard then tells Tristan to get down, and he is not shown moving his hands, but in the next shot of Tristan, his left hand is suddenly ahead of his right hand. (00:08:12)

Awakening of Evil: Part 3 - S2-E39

Other mistake: When Joey convinces Trinity not to leave the duelling field, there is a shot of Trinity saying, "You've got it, big brother," while Joey does a fist bump. In the shot, Jinzo can be seen on his duel disk, even though it was destroyed earlier in the episode. (00:06:45)

Awakening of Evil: Part 3 - S2-E39

Continuity mistake: At the end of the previous episode, Joey's monsters, the Legendary Fisherman, Insect Queen and Jinzo were all in defence mode. In this episode, the monster cards cannot be seen under the monsters, nor are they kneeling down, which would indicate they are in attack mode.

Awakening of Evil: Part 3 - S2-E39

Other mistake: At the start of the episode, the attack and defence points of each monster on the field are displayed. Insect Queen is shown to have 2400 attack and defence points when shown on the display. Insect Queen has 2200 attack points and 2600 defence points. (00:02:13)

Awakening of Evil: Part 2 - S2-E38

Stupidity: When Odion activates Swords of Revealing Light (preventing Joey from attacking for three turns), Joey switches all of his monsters to defence mode. There was no real benefit to this as Odion had no monsters on his side of the field and Jinzo was less powerful in defence mode, having only 1500 defence points, compared to 2400 attack points.

Awakening of Evil: Part 2 - S2-E38

Other mistake: When Joey summons Insect Queen to the field, Jinzo can be seen in defence mode to the right of shot, but the monster card cannot be seen beneath it. Whenever monsters are in defence mode, the monster card is always shown beneath it, just like Insect Queen and the Legendary Fisherman at that same moment, but with Jinzo, no card can be seen. Awakening of Evil: Part 2 - S2-E38

Other mistake: When Joey sacrifices Battle Warrior to summon The Legendary Fisherman, the Battle Warrior monster card cannot be seen on his duel disk. This occurs right before The Legendary Fisherman is summoned, even though he was never shown removing the Battle Warrior card from his duel disk. (00:14:22)

Awakening of Evil: Part 2 - S2-E38

Continuity mistake: When Odion tells Joey his chances of victory have vanished, Joey replies, "I'm gonna have to disagree." The two monster cards on his duel disk are upside down. Then there is a close-up of a card being inserted into a slot, and the monster cards are right side up. (00:02:20)

Awakening of Evil: Part 1 - S2-E37

Continuity mistake: After Odion has activated Judgement of Anubis, just as he says "because they're about to disappear with 2000 of your life points," the tattoo on his face is shown on the left-hand side of his face. Soon after, when Mai says he has a bad haircut, the tattoo has moved to the right-hand side of his face. (00:12:55 - 00:13:31)

Rage of the Egyptian Gods - S2-E36

Continuity mistake: When Pegasus is painting the artwork for the Winged Dragon of Ra, his left hand is holding onto the side of the canvas. His left hand is towards the bottom of the canvas at first, but a few seconds later, his left hand is nearer to the middle of the canvas. (00:15:36)

Continuity mistake: When Shadi is guiding Pegasus and his camera crew through the tomb, just after Pegasus says "Make sure you're getting all of this on tape," he turns his head to the right and the photographer turns his head to the left. In the next shot, they are suddenly looking straight forwards. (00:11:15)

Continuity mistake: In the close-up shot of Yugi's cards on the table, the Kuriboh card can be seen towards the corner of the table furthest away from Yugi. A couple of seconds later, when Shadi walks into the room, the Kuriboh card is now at the opposite side of the table, positioned near the corner closer to Yugi. (00:07:39)

The Dark Spirit Revealed: Part 3 - S2-E35

Plot hole: The episode ends with the reveal that Tea has the Millennium Ring and is now possessed by Marik. The last time the Millennium Ring was shown, it was thrown by Bakura at the end of the duel on the playing field. There is no way Tea could have retrieved the Millennium Ring from the playing field without the other characters noticing, seeing as how she was with them the entire time while they took Bakura back to his bedroom and had nowhere to hide it.
