Star Wars: Clone Wars mistake picture

Chapter 13 - S2-E3

Continuity mistake: After Padme drags Threepio away as the attack on the city begins, Mace Windu's fighter swoops across the screen from left to right, and it rolls onto its side to show us the top of the cockpit. We see his canopy is similar to the design found in the 'Revenge of the Sith' film, being comprised of three large panels of glass. Unlike the film version (which has a small porthole behind the pilot's head), there is no glass behind Windu. But when the shot cuts to show him inside, there are three windows behind him. Seconds later, another interior view shows the three 'windows' are now solid panels. (00:28:20)

Chapter 14 - S2-E4

Continuity mistake: When Palpatine and his rescuers are in the descending elevator, a wide shot shows the trooper with the rocket launcher standing at the far left of the shot, in front of the hammer-headed Jedi. The shot then tightens in and suddenly this trooper is behind Palpatine, who is behind that Jedi. (00:39:20)

Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines mistake picture

Continuity mistake: After Arnold has taken the fire truck, John is chased by a single police car. The overhead shot pans left to show the crane approaching from John's right. This shot shows the crane arm is pointing rearward. But when the crane bursts through the wall a split-second later, the arm points forward. (00:36:20)

Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines mistake picture

Continuity mistake: When John crashes the Toyota truck into the rear of the silver Taurus, the car's bumper cover lands on the ground to the right of the car, between it and a parked car. When John drives away from the accident, he drives between the Taurus and the parked car, but the cover isn't there to be run over- it's now tucked under the Taurus at the right/rear corner. Then, as the crane smashes the Taurus, the cover is now well to the car's left, in the lane of opposing traffic. (00:31:10)

Vanishing Point (1971)

Vanishing Point mistake picture

Continuity mistake: In most close-up shots of the car's front end, the license plate is visible, but in many high-speed and stunt shots from further away, the plate is missing.

The Fog (2005)

The Fog mistake picture

Visible crew/equipment: As Stevie's car sinks, it tilts slightly to the right. On the driver-side rear quarter panel, a wireless mini-camera is attached to the car, pointing forward. (01:16:00)

The Fog (2005)

The Fog mistake picture

Continuity mistake: As Stevie's car settles to the ocean bottom, an exterior shot looking at the front/driver-side shows her door mirror is missing. But when she wakes up and looks around, the mirror is on the door. (01:16:20)

The Fog (2005)

The Fog mistake picture

Continuity mistake: When Nick is driving Elizabeth home, he mentions buying her a ring. The steering wheel is the standard hard plastic type found on trucks of it's era. When the glass shatters and the truck comes to a halt, the wheel is suddenly padded with a black, aftermarket wrap. (00:22:10 - 00:22:45)

The Fog (2005)

Factual error: When Stevie's car is struck by a delivery truck, the collision is head-on for both cars. The force of the impact should have pushed her car rearward (even if slightly to either side). But when the camera cuts to show the car's passenger side from well below, the car is turning onto it's side, rolling toward the camera as if a forklift lifted the other side of the car, tossing it off the road. The car had no rearward motion at all, despite the head-on collision.

The Fog (2005)

The Fog mistake picture

Continuity mistake: Stevie's radio station is shown located in a lighthouse, yet the night shot early in the film shows an entirely different lighthouse than is seen in daylight mid-way through the film. The later version's top, red portion isn't nearly as tall, and it has at least a third of its glass replaced with solid panels, while the earlier one is taller and all glass. (00:13:35 - 00:47:35)

The Fog (2005)

Continuity mistake: When Stevie's car falls in the water, the damage to the hood (as the car meets the water in the distant, slow-motion shot) is very different from two shots later (just before the front of the car sinks out of view). (01:15:55)

The Fog (2005)

Revealing mistake: When Stevie's car is hit by the delivery truck, the side shot that shows the car beginning to roll reveals there is no engine in the car, as we can see through the front fender wells to the truck as it passes on the far side of the car. (01:15:40)

The Fog (2005)

Continuity mistake: As Elizabeth is being driven home in Nick's pick up truck, all the glass suddenly shatters. It is shortly before 10pm (clock at her mom's house). But despite the fact that Nick and Elizabeth are busy all the next day, the truck is over 30 years old, and the story takes place in a small, island community, all the truck's glass is back when it's seen the next afternoon - both the front & rear windshields, door glass and vent-windows, and it's all just as dirty as it was before the breakage. The Fog (2005)

Continuity mistake: When Nick crashes his truck into a boat and trailer, Elizabeth is shown being tossed around inside the truck in slow motion as the truck settles to a stop. But in the scene showing the aftermath of the crash, she's regaining consciousness on the ground a good fifty feet or so to the right of the truck. (01:22:00 - 01:23:20)

The Fog (2005)

The Fog mistake picture

Continuity mistake: When the Seagrass is attacked, the two girls are thrown through the cabin's rear windows, landing on the outside deck. When the boat's owner finds it, a camera circles the Seagrass from a distance and the rear windows are intact. When he and Elizabeth board the boat, the windows are again broken. Take the Celestra - S1-E23

Plot hole: Apollo lectures Starbuck about his appearance, reminding him that they will be seeing Commander Kronus, so he should at least "fasten up" his jacket. But in these shots and every shot after, Apollo's jacket is open, too.

Battlestar Galactica mistake picture

The Lost Planet of the Gods (1) - S1-E4

Continuity mistake: When Boxey plays with Muffit, a red chair on the right sits away from the wall and turned slightly. Boxey and Muffit leave the room as Serina and Apollo argue, and when Apollo walks toward the chair, it is not turned as much and is much closer to the wall. (00:24:20 - 00:25:55)

Saga of a Star World (1) - S1-E1

Factual error: When Apollo decides he and Zac will attack the Cylons that are following them, he tells Zac to "hit your reverse thrusters and maximum braking flaps", but they aren't in an atmosphere. Brake flaps would have no effect in the vacuum of space. (00:10:30)

Upvote valid corrections to help move entries into the corrections section.

Suggested correction: Since the Colonial Vipers CAN fly in atmosphere and in space, that move would just be standard operating procedure and used either in space or in air. Similar to the way Navy pilots deploy a tailhook (for carrier use) when they land on runways.

Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines mistake picture

Continuity mistake: After John crashes the truck into the silver car, the empty emergency vehicles approach from behind. At the right, a red sedan is shown from the rear with a broken tail light and mangled bumper. A few shots later, the crane comes around a corner and hits this red car, but before the actual collision, the tail light and bumper of the car are fine. (00:31:55)

Living Witness - S4-E23

Continuity mistake: Early in the episode, the Kyrian historical researcher plays a simulation of events aboard Voyager that include Janeway killing a Kyrian and then throwing the rifle to a crewman. Later, he replays the simulation for the Doctor, but subtle details of this 'same simulation' change, most notably the way the female crewman raises her rifle much sooner the first time we see Janeway walk past her, and the difference in the way the male crewman catches Janeway's rifle.
