The West Wing (1999)

365 Days - S6-E12

Continuity mistake: As the President leads the staff out of the Oval Office, the rear angle shot shows Kate Harper is ahead of Annabeth Schott. But the angle reverses to show them emerging from the office as Kate is coming around Annabeth's right side to pass her. (00:40:00)

The Drop In - S2-E12

Factual error: Leo asks how long it will be before the missile system being tested will hit the target, and is told "two minutes, ten seconds". He decides the President should see it, and leaves to fetch him. But doing so results in them both arriving back In the Room exactly 3 minutes later. 7 seconds after that, they are told there are still 50 seconds to impact (but it should have occurred 57 seconds ago). After the 50 seconds pass, Leo states the impact will occur in 20 more seconds, and the moment of expected impact does pass at that time. In all, 4 minutes, 16 seconds pass from when "2 minutes, 10 seconds" to impact was announced. (00:01:30)

Samson & Delilah - S2-E1

Plot hole: When John inserts Cameron's CPU, she restarts nearly instantly. She recognizes John right away and speaks to him by name. Yet seconds later, we see through her eyes as her system reports recognizing him, but she already does.

Show generally

Continuity mistake: Ep. "Samson and Delilah" - When the Jeep Cherokee flips, it lands on the driver-side/rear corner of its roof, completely collapsing that corner of the roof. The camera angle changes and instantly the Jeep is landing on both of its driver-side tires, roof intact, and rolls onto its left side. The angle changes again, and the collapsed roof is back as the Jeep slides a bit more before the shot changes again, and the undamaged roof is shown as the Jeep rolls onto its roof and comes to a stop. The camera pans around the rear of the wreck, and there is no roof collapse at either rear corner.

Show generally

Continuity mistake: Ep. "Samson and Delilah" - When Elison is sitting at the rear doorway of the ambulance, in close-up his hands are away from his face, out of shot. But the instant the shot changes to show him from further away, his right hand is covering his mouth.

Show generally

Continuity mistake: Ep. "Samson and Delilah" - As Derek sits at the table, Sarah is digging jelly from a jar with a knife, moving it onto toast that sits on a plate on the table. The shot instantly reverses and the jar is on the table and she's spreading the jelly with the knife on the toast she now holds in her hand.

Samson & Delilah - S2-E1

Continuity mistake: All shots of the Jeep Cherokee prior to it crashing (and during the process of flipping over) show that it wears factory-optional silver steel wheels of a 'star' style. But as the wreck settles upside-down, it's wearing plain steel wheels (like those found under full wheel covers or on a spare tire).

Show generally

Continuity mistake: Ep. "Samson and Delilah" - Sarah carries a plate with a sandwich and a tall glass of milk for John. After talking with Cameron for a few moments, she heads to John's room, arriving with the plate and sandwich, but no glass of milk, and with some of his clean clothing.

Continuity mistake: During the chase on Lower Fifth, the refuse truck's left headlamp is alternately present and lit, or completely missing (not just unlit). (01:13:30)

The Dark Knight (2008)

Continuity mistake: After the Batmobile is hit by an RPG, Batman steers the car through the concrete barrier out of the traffic lane. As the car crashes through another wall, it lifts from the rear and the driver side rear tire is seen flying off the car. For the rest of the scene, all the tires are still attached.

Queen's Gambit - S1-E5

Character mistake: When Dixon arrives to find Derek lying on the table with a serious gunshot wound to the chest, he immediately begins giving Derek chest compressions - without doing even the most basic assessment of Deker's condition, verifying whether he is breathing or even has a pulse. Dixon is a trained Emergency Medical Technician, not a passing samaritan. His error is against the most basic rules of his profession. (00:40:10)

Queen's Gambit - S1-E5

Continuity mistake: As Cameron is questioned about the girl that commited suicide, the interviewer holds a photo of one of the mostly-black posters. When we see his view of the photo, the white letters spell 'DAN', but before and after that shot, when we see his face, we can see through the photo, and it only reads 'A', which is a different poster seen earlier in the same episode. Batman Begins (2005)

Factual error: The bat signal at the end of the film defies physics. The spotlight is a few feet across and is projecting the signal onto clouds far above. To do this, the light beam should get wider as it climbs up (like a flashlight's beam aimed at the ceiling). Yet the shot of the clouds shows rays of light getting wider as they go downward, like sun rays through the clouds. For this to exist, there's either a bat signal floating far above and through the clouds, or the one on the roof needs to be several miles wide, focusing a beam that narrows as it climbs. (02:09:15)

Batman Begins (2005)

Continuity mistake: When the Tumbler leaps toward the steeply-angled rooftop (the shingled roof with dormers), beyond it is a tall office building on the opposite side of a highway that is running perpendicular to the Tumbler's direction of travel (and parallel to the face of the office building). In order to leap onto this highway, the Tumbler will need to make a hard left or right turn, as going straight will take it across the highway into the face of the office building. But as the Tumbler reaches the end of the angled roof, suddenly the office building has moved far to the left, and the highway is now nearly in line with the Tumbler's direction, running into the distance next to the office building, and passes along the left side of the shingled roof, making it easy for the Tumbler to leap easily onto the roadway. Batman Begins (2005)

Batman Begins mistake picture

Continuity mistake: As Ducard is sliding down the ice toward the cliff, he's on his front, sliding feet first. Bruce is also on his stomach, but sliding head first. Then, just before Ducard goes over the edge, Bruce is instantly on his back, sliding sideways, right side toward Ducard, just in time to take Ducard's hand, saving him. (00:40:10)

Suggested correction: The shot from afar shows Bruce rolling as he grabs Ducard at the edge. He isn't instantly on his back.

The mistake is valid. In the shot from afar, Bruce is already on his back with no time to roll over into that position from the previous shot.

Batman Begins mistake picture

Continuity mistake: As Ducard goes over the cliff's edge, Bruce is dragged over the edge in the distant shots, with only his left arm still on top of the cliff, holding the knife in the ice. But the close-ups (prior to the big explosion) show only his right arm and leg are over the edge with Ducard, while his body remains on top of the ice. (00:40:20)

Batman Begins (2005)

Continuity mistake: As Bruce and Rachel talk inside her car in front of Falcone's building, he takes out his revolver. His hair is rather neat, parted in the middle. Rachel slaps him twice, and each time, his fair falls further onto his forehead from the sides so that it now hangs over his eyebrows. But an inserted shot, just before Rachel says "Your father would be ashamed of you", his hair is back in neat, before-the-slaps condition. After she says her line, his hair is properly messed up again. (00:27:20)

Revealing mistake: As Ducard slides down the icy slope toward the cliff, a brief shot from Bruce's viewpoint shows Ducard from a top-down perspective, revealing that Liam Neeson has been replaced by a stuntman with far more hair and no sign of Liam's receding hairline. (00:40:05)

Continuity mistake: After the big explosion, Bruce is shown holding Ducard at the edge of the cliff. Bruce's body is over the edge, only his arm remains on the ice to anchor them. But as he lifts Ducard to safety, Bruce's body is suddenly on the ice, only his right arm is over the edge. (00:40:30)

Batman Begins mistake picture

Continuity mistake: When Bruce defeats the Ra's impostor, the overhead beams collapse down as Ra's rolls onto his left side, head turned further left toward the floor to shield his face. As this shot ends, the debris settles, and we can see Ra's does not change position. But a close-up shows that Ra's is now flat on his back, head turned to his right. (00:39:30)
