The O.C. (2003)

Show generally

Corrected entry: In the episode 1.22, "The L.A.", Ryan tells Luke several times (most explicitly while Luke plays pool in the student union) that he will be spending the day with Marissa, to give Luke a chance to break things off with Julie. Why, then, would Luke just walk into Ryan's pool house at the end of the episode and announce in a loud voice that he was "done having sex with Julie Cooper" without making sure that Marissa had already left? Since he had just come from Marissa's house he knew she wasn't there, and he didn't know anyone but Ryan had gone to LA with her, there's nowhere else she could have been. Even Luke isn't that stupid - it's designed to facilitate the character leaving two episodes later.

Shay

Correction: Ryan knew that Luke would have a hard time breaking it off with Julie, that's why Ryan called so many times, so Luke went to Ryans poolhouse to tell him it was over in person. He just assumed that after LA, Marissa went to her best friend, Summer's house, as usual.

Corrected entry: Nora is almost killed by the plate of glass that falls on Timmy, if the construction worker hadn't intervened she would have died too, so she should have gone to the bottom of the list behind Kimberly. Instead she's killed next.

Shay

Correction: If she was going to die by the falling plate she wouldn't have died nor being at the bottom of the list because death has to maintain its order correctly, so the falling plate could have been prevented somehow.

Correction: The play is set in Padua, that's the school's name, and Pat's last name is Verona because in the play Petruchio (Patrick) is a nobleman from Verona.

Ghost Ship (2002)

Corrected entry: In all the chaos on board the ship, and the race for the gold, why do two crewmen take the time to carry Katie to her room and hang her rather than just cutting her throat as they did with everyone else? It makes for a good scare when Epps finds her still-hanging body, but makes no sense given the events around them at the time.

Shay

Correction: Maybe the men took her to her room and locked her up as a prisoner. Maybe they assaulted her. After everyone else is killed and she is alone, maybe she hangs herself. Since there is obviously an afterlife going on, this would explain why her innocent soul gets caught on the boat instead of immediately ascending as it does at the end of the movie.

Corrected entry: Prior to the explosion from Bullion's case (in Valentin's Istanbul headquarters), Dr. Jones has her hair tied up in a bun, but in all scenes after the explosion it's loose, without any time for her to change it (short of the explosion untying whatever's holding her hair up without injuring her in the slightest).

Shay

Correction: That's exactly what happens. It comes loose as she and Bond dive to the floor to escape the explosion, so the impact knocked loose whatever pin or unsecured arrangement she had.

Charmed (1998)

Charmed Again (1) - S4-E1

Corrected entry: Paige apparently only gets her witch powers in this episode, but that doesn't fit with what we know of magic from the rest of the series. If Paige was born a witch, she would have always had her witch powers unless they were bound (which we know they weren't since she would have also lost her orbing ability until now), so she should have been telekinetically orbing things her whole life.

Shay

Correction: In a later episode, Leo and Paige go back in time to when Paige's family was killed in a car crash. We find out then that she survived because she orbed out before the crash. So, she had her powers, but she was not aware of them.

Edtv (1999)

Corrected entry: When we see the crew setting up to follow Ed around, they put a camera into the rear-view mirror of his car. When he runs away in the middle of the night to visit Sherri why don't they just go to the feed from this camera instead of chasing after him?

Shay

Correction: The broadcast van has to be close to the camera so they can broadcast the feed. The antenna from the camera probably isn't very powerful.

The O.C. (2003)

The Outsider - S1-E5

Corrected entry: There is a short montage of Marissa trying out different hair styles before going over to see Ryan. She finally settles on one, smiles and walks off, but when she arrives at Ryan's house her hair is styled differently.

Shay

Correction: That was not a blooper, that was supposed to be like that. She couldn't decide and then she changed her hair AGAIN before she even got there. It further shows how she couldn't make up her mind.

The Killer In Me - S7-E13

Corrected entry: Willow tracks down her old Wicca group when she needs help reversing a spell, but seems surprised that they're competent spell casters now (since the last time she saw them Tara was the only one with any kind of power). But if she's so surprised to find this out, why did she go to them? (as opposed to calling the coven in Devon or trying to contact Giles).

Shay

Correction: She's probably hoping they can direct her to someone who can help her.

Dead Like Me (2003)

Pilot (2 hours) - S1-E1

Corrected entry: The dead (not counting reapers, who are undead) aren't corporeal - that is, they can't touch stuff and people pass right through them. So how can the woman who gets crushed by the piano lock Roxy out of her van?

Shay

Correction: Also in the Pilot, we see that when angry enough the dead can affect things. For example, George causes the door to move at the after-funeral dinner, as well as forming the word "Moist" with the magnets on her refigerator. Most people don't affect things, but this same episode shows that it's possible.

Once More, With Feeling - S6-E7

Corrected entry: In the episode 'Once More, With Feeling', during Giles' song, 'Standing', Buffy's hair is loose as we see her training montage. When she walks up to him at the end and starts to speak, she's taking it out of a bun. She's definitely not just playing with her hair - if you watch carefully you can see that there's a clip or pin of some sort in her hand that had been holding her hair up. (00:32:00)

Shay

Correction: There was no clip in her hair nor was she holding one. Buffy was just holding her hair back with her hands while stretching her neck.

Angel (1999)

Players - S4-E16

Corrected entry: In the episode 'Players', season 4, Gwen is struck by lightning and we later see the envelope she was holding is badly scorched. The papers that were inside, however, don't have a mark on them.

Shay

Correction: If you keep watching the episode when Gwen is pulling out the map of the house and showing it to Gunn, you can easily see several burn marks on the map; which was inside the envelope when she got struck by lightning.

Selfless - S7-E5

Corrected entry: In "Selfless", Anyanka is quite strong and holds her own against Buffy for quite a while. In previous episodes ("The Wish" and "Two To Go (1)" to be precise) Anyanka has had nowhere near this level of strength.

Shay

Correction: Anya has been closely involved with the gang for a number of years by this point. She's fought next to Buffy countless times. It can be taken for granted that she knows Buffy's fighting style and methods. She may not be any stronger, but she knows how to anticipate Buffy's attacks.

Touched - S7-E20

Corrected entry: In the episode 'Touched' Spike tells Buffy that her theory about the vineyard was right, but he wasn't there when she suggested this theory (in the episode 'Empty Places'), and no one from the group that did hear it told him about it.

Shay

Correction: Spike wasn't talking about Buffy's theory. In Dirty Girls, Buffy was saying that she thought Caleb had something of hers, but no one was supporting her (Giles, the potentials, etc) - that's when Xander and the rest of the girls got hurt. So, in 'Touched' Spike was referring to that, saying "You were right all along Buffy, they are protecting something." And then he added "And I think it's at the vineyard." So, Spike didn't know about Buffy's theory, or why she was kicked out of the house.

My Journey - S3-E2

Corrected entry: When the collarbone patient reveals his fiancee is a guy Turk is shocked and Dr. Cox comments "Never underestimate how much this freaks him out." Later in the episode, Turk even admits that the idea of two guys together, or even being that close to another guy, creeps him out. But in previous episodes we've seen him sleeping in JD's bed and talking to/about gay staff at the hospital and been completely normal about it.

Shay

Correction: JD is his best friend, that's why he has no problem sleeping in the same bed as him. And even if he doesn't like the idea of two men being together doesn't mean he won't talk about/to them. The main reason he's a bit freaked here is that it comes as a surprise, so he's not prepared.

Angel (1999)

The Trial - S2-E9

Corrected entry: In "The Trial" Angel tells Darla that, if he turns her, his soul might transfer onto her - he doesn't know for sure. However, in a later episode ("Why We Fight", season 5) we see him turning Lawson in 1943, after he got his soul. While the soul made Lawson less evil, he was still filled with the bloodlust of a normal vampire, without Angel's conscience. Therefore, Angel already knew that his soul wouldn't transfer enough to stop Darla becoming a monster.

Shay

Correction: Angel lets Lawson go from the sub, telling him that if they ever meet again, he'd kill him. He reminds him of this when Lawson steps into the offices of Wolfram & Hart 50 years later, som presumably they haven't met since then. Angel wouödn't have know much about Lawson behaviour during the short time he was a vampire on the sub. He didn't kill anyone, nor did he try to.

Dead Like Me (2003)

Reaping Havoc - S1-E5

Corrected entry: The picture that George takes of Betty comes out looking like the Betty that George and the viewers always see, but it should have come out looking like Un-Betty, who would be completely different.

Shay

Correction: Betty appearing as herself was deliberate. George took the photo just as Betty was preparing to jump into the vortex. Instead of appearing as Un-Betty, she appeared as herself to signify that she had undergone a metaphysical change.

Get It Done - S7-E15

Corrected entry: In this episode the Chinese Potential is among the girls training in the garden, so why is she surprised a few episodes later in 'Dirty Girls' when she sees Faith training in the garden? Maybe she doesn't know Faith specifically, but she's been living at the Summers house for weeks with strange girls arriving and training every day. It shouldn't really register as a shock to her to see someone training in the garden.

Shay

Correction: She may have been surprised because she didn't expect a Slayer who had a lot of power to have to train.

Correction: Carrie just holds up the pink shoe to try it on in her size. We don't see her buy the pink ones, so it's reasonable to think that she changed her mind on the color before leaving the store.

Ral0618

Correction: Spike was just trying to scare Buffy; he needn't have been telling the truth.
