Continuity mistake: When the movie begins, the Ectomobile drives by Cole Haan and continues to speed through Manhattan. When the manhole flies upwards, the car is suddenly next to Cole Haan again. This also happens with other locations that the car drives by twice.

Revealing mistake: When Gary is being interviewed at the end, Slimer and the Dragon fly over them and away. However, Gary keeps staring at the entrance door; seemingly, the cue didn't work here. A shot later, from a different angle, he is suddenly looking ahead.

Visible crew/equipment: When the car comes to a stop next to City Hall Park, there's a crowd of bystanders in the back watching the filming.

Continuity mistake: After the car stops near City Hall Park, its position differs completely between the first and second shot, plus dark skid marks suddenly appear, despite the car not moving.

Trivia: In the open-matte print, right after the credits, the support beams of the movie lot walls are visible, painted in blue to simulate the sky. In the theatrical version and the current Disney+ streaming movie's original aspect ratio (bottom picture), one can still see the beams for a split second after the postman puts the letter in the mailbox (though there's no way here to identify them as lot walls).

Continuity mistake: When Acacius arrives in Rome and meets with the Emperors, there is a man with a monkey on his shoulder, his face surrounded by bright light. An instant cut later, his face is in the shadows.

Continuity mistake: Macrinus walks over to where Lucius is bathing and places two coins, one slightly overlapping the other. A shot later, they're stacked.

Revealing mistake: During the riot at the bleachers, a soldier grabs an arrow from the quiver, places it on the bow, tightens the string, and aims to shoot. The problem is, he's mimicking all the movements. He didn't pick up an arrow in the first place. Seemingly, someone forgot to place the CGI arrow. (02:09:02)

Visible crew/equipment: When Trish picks up Jessica at the train station and her car leaves, filming equipment and crew members are reflected in the windows.

Continuity mistake: When Lucius asks the doctor to give him the prison keys and send a message to the soldiers at Ostia, Lucius' arm is bent around the prison bars, except for a brief shot where it's suddenly straight; then the shot changes and it's bent again.
