Continuity mistake: When Luke crashes on the snow he tries to open the cockpit pushing the canopy. A shot later he is pushing the windshield. This changes back and forth several times.

Revealing mistake: When Reggie and Jack are following the Porsche they're replaced by obvious stunts. Eddie Murphy is a heavier and older man with an afro hair, for example.

Visible crew/equipment: When the crop duster and the truck are about to explode and the truck drivers run away, one can tell it's not Cary Grant watching the havoc but his stunt double because of his rounder face and slightly different hairstyle. Also confirmed by actress Eve Saint-Marie.

Continuity mistake: When Thornhill watches the road from the crop field, the way he holds the crop and how the leaves bend, differ between the front and back shots. Also, his hands disappear and the leaves swap between dry and green.

Visible crew/equipment: When Thornhill exits the phone booth 6 stage lights are reflected on the glass door.

Continuity mistake: When Thornhill makes a call at the train station the cord of the phone is curled in the wide angle but straight in the close-up.

Other mistake: At the train station, the same red-haired woman in a green dress with two distinctive suitcases appears three times in different places despite her walking the opposite way. Sometimes she has a hat and others not.

Continuity mistake: On the frozen lake, a cottage is blown to pieces, a wheel flies away, and many explosions take place, rising big clouds of black smoke. However, in the wide angle, the place is spotless.

Visible crew/equipment: This can only be seen in the widescreen version. When Han, Leia and Chewie venture out of the Falcon to investigate the cave they're hiding in on the asteroid, as they walk towards the left of the screen you can see the edge of the tarpaulin sheet they're standing on as well as the faint outline of a crew member trying to get out of the camera shot. Visible crew/equipment: While in hot-pursuit, Han and Chewie are desperately trying to fix the Millennium Falcon (just after C-3PO informs them of the damaged hyperdrive, making light-speed impossible). In one shot Chewbacca has a bare human thumb, without gloves or makeup, and can be easily spotted in the lower left part of the screen. (00:38:00)

Continuity mistake: In the car park, when Bond activates the car-camera the phone screen shows the car next to Bond and the black and yellow column, but not Bond, despite him being in sight.

Continuity mistake: After Luke's snowspeeder crashes on the snow, right before he exits, there's no damage on the right window. From the outside shot it's broken all over.

Revealing mistake: Before Darth kills Obi-Wan, he rises his saber to prepare to die and his face and hands are perfectly visible. Right before Darth kills him, there's a wide shot where his face is missing and a black object is used to hold the saber, thus revealing the actor was replaced by an empty cloak to achieve the vanishing effect.

Revealing mistake: The volcano erupting is an obvious composite of at least two images: an explosion on a mountain and lava flowing. The cut-out footage of the lava is blatantly evident for one can see the outline of the pasted film, which has a lighter colour than the mountain's.

Continuity mistake: When Abigail is showing the book, Loretta holds food with her fingers and eats it. Shot cuts and not only does the food reappear, but her right hand is lowered.

Revealing mistake: When the movie begins Bond climbs up a telephone pole. From behind he is obviously not Sean Connery: not only his build is different, but his hair is a weird squared wig, maybe some sort of security helmet.

Continuity mistake: When Bond enters the room to free the woman there's a chair next to the bed. A shot later it's a meter away. (00:03:40)

Continuity mistake: Darth Vader fires at Luke's X-wing and blows R2D2's top off. Half a second later it shows no damage at all. It's not even scorched. When Luke lands, R2D2's head is destroyed and it's scorched all over. (01:56:15)

Revealing mistake: When Nicole Kidman shows the kids some tricks she is replaced by a very obvious stunt, older, taller and... a man. Confirmed by Nicole Kidman, who said her stunt double was "a teenage boy wearing a padded bra."
