Trivia: In the lift, Peter Scarborough mentions building 616. In Marvel comics, Earth-616 is the main dimension most of the stories are set.

Trivia: Spoilers! The end credits feature Deadpool using Cable's time travel device to "fix the timelines." He goes back and saves Vanessa, then travels to X-Men Origins: Wolverine and kills the awful version of Wade Wilson from that movie (also played by Ryan Reynolds). He finally goes and shoots Ryan Reynolds in the head before he appears in the Green Lantern movie. Also in the Blu ray version, he finds a newly born Adolf Hitler and after some working up, decides to kill him (offscreen).

Trivia: Spoilers! Red Skull makes his long-awaited return to the MCU after his appearance in Captain America: The First Avenger. We discover that he's been guarding the soul stone as punishment, of sorts. However he's played by Ross Marquand, not Hugo Weaving.

Trivia: Kenneth Branagh, director of the first Thor movie, has an audio cameo. He's the one voicing the distress call from the Asgardians which the Guardians of the Galaxy pick up.

Trivia: Ben Barnes plays Frank Castle's friend Billy Russo. In Stardust he played the father of Charlie Cox, who plays Daredevil in another Marvel/Netflix series.

Trivia: Victor Garber says "I refuse to set foot on the Titanic. Whoever built that ship should be shot." In Titanic (1998) he played Thomas Andrews, the designer of the ship. This episode also stars Billy Zane, who played Cal Hockley in Titanic.

Trivia: Jennifer Connelly voices the "suit lady", the AI in Spider-Man's suit. In real life she's married to Paul Bettany, who voiced Jarvis, the AI in Iron Man's suit, and who later played Vision.

Trivia: The directors have previously worked on both Community and Arrested Development - both shows get nods in this movie. Jim Rash, the Dean from Community, plays an MIT faculty member at the start. More subtle is the Bluth family's stair-car from Arrested Development, seen briefly as Captain America walks onto the airport runway before the big battle with the other Avengers.

Trivia: Wade Wilson is on the "Dead Pool", seen briefly at the back of the bar, but so are various celebrities, such as Bill Cosby, Kanye West, and Charlie Sheen. Perhaps most notable are Ryan Reynolds and TJ Miller, stars of the movie.

Trivia: Crowd scenes in Goodison Park for the final fight were filmed at half time during an Everton game, which explains why quite a few people in the crowd are waving blue Everton football scarves during a boxing match.

Trivia: Robert De Niro wanted a live cartridge to be in the gun when he plays Russian Roulette with John Cazale. Cazale agreed, but understandably checked the gun carefully before each take to ensure the live round wouldn't be fired when the trigger was pulled.

Trivia: The person who introduces Leonardo DiCaprio onstage at the end of the film is the real Jordan Belfort.

Trivia: The humming chant Matthew McConaughey does and Leonardo DiCaprio adopts is actually something McConaughey does before scenes to relax himself and clear his head. He did it before shooting the scene with DiCaprio in the restaurant, and after a few takes DiCaprio suggested that it was put in the scene, so it stayed.

Trivia: The kiss between Thor and Jane after the credits doesn't actually feature Natalie Portman - due to scheduling issues she wasn't available, so Chris Hemsworth's wife Elsa Pataky put on a wig and filmed the scene.

Trivia: This is Rachel McAdams' third time travel film (she also stars in The Time Traveler's Wife and Midnight in Paris), but her character hasn't time traveled in any of the films, it's always someone else.

Trivia: Paul Bettany, who voices Jarvis in this and the standalone Iron Man films, hasn't seen any of them. In an interview he said "This is robbery. I walk in, I say some lines on a piece of paper for two hours, and then they give me a bag of money and I leave and I go about my day...I've never seen one of them...It's not because of any snobbishness, it's just not my thing."

Trivia: One of the creatures glimpsed jumping out of the lift is one of the small monsters which attack people in the subway in "Cloverfield". The director of this movie, Drew Goddard, wrote Cloverfield.

Trivia: When they do the handbrake turn at the very end of the film, we see the gear stick for a fraction of a second. Freeze-frame it and you'll see it has the initials "HF" on it.

Trivia: Holtz is watching two people fight in a graveyard - the graveyard's blatantly the same one as used in Buffy. Doesn't really qualify as a mistake, because arguably many graveyards look alike, but fans of both series will be able to recognise it.
