88 Minutes picture

Corrected entry: During the first television interview with Forester, his first name is spelt "Jon". Later in the movie it is spelled "John" on the television.

Correction: Television is not always 100% accurate. Look at the number of times that news reports have misidentified an individual, where they come from, which party they represent or whatever, and getting the wrong spelling of a name seems comparatively minor.

Death Proof picture

Corrected entry: We can see that Kim shot Mike to the forearm, just below the elbow. But when Mike later looks at his wounded arm, the blood spot and the wound is higher, much more above his elbow. And even before, when he is pouring alcohol on the wound, he pours it on the sleeve. As he is wearing a short-sleeve T-shirt, there's no way that the sleeve would cover the wound below the elbow. (01:38:10 - 01:44:25)

Correction: No, he's shot in the upper arm near the shoulder, not the elbow. Kim also emptied her gun at him, and it's possible he was hit more than once.

The Game Plan picture

Corrected entry: When the film opens the the football game being played is in the 4th quarter. Take a look at the players uniforms. The white pants are not dirty at all. After 60 minutes of playing on grass all the players' uniforms would not be still clean.

Frank Scialdone

Correction: The stadium they're playing in (Gillette Stadium) has a FieldTurf playing surface, not grass, so there would be no mud or grass stains.

The Last Mimzy picture

Corrected entry: In the scene where Emma shows the baby-sitter her spinners, she throws them all down at once and they still work. In all the other scenes, she has to spin each one by itself so they work.

Correction: When she did it the very first time, she didn't know what the spinners did. She thought they were just toys, so she was playing with them one at a time. Then, when she showed her babysitter, she was in a hurry to show the woman what she thought would be a really impressive "trick." After that, she began to understand how important and fragile they were and decided to be more careful with them, instead of nonchalantly tossing them at the ground.

The Assassination of Jesse James picture

Corrected entry: In the scene where Brad Pitt and Casey Affleck are sitting in Jesse's house, right before Casey kills him, Jesse's wife yells out from the kitchen to them that breakfast is ready. You can see Brad Pitt is mouthing her line.

Correction: Zee never announces breakfast. The closest she comes is to yell to Bob that the food is getting cold. As we hear this, the camera is on Bob, not Jesse, and Bob's mouth doesn't move at all. Several scenes (and about 8 minutes) earlier, Jesse gives Bob a gun as a gift. It is evening and Zee yells that "supper is ready". Here, the camera is on Pitt, and his lips flex a bit, but do not come close to forming anything remotely like Zee's words. Jesse is merely in deep thought, almost mumbling his thoughts to himself. He is still gauging Bob's intent and character, as he feels something is coming, but he doesn't know what for certain.

Ghost Rider picture

Corrected entry: When Johnny Blaze is sitting watching TV in his warehouse apartment eating the red and yellow jelly beans, the mix of jelly bean colors in the glass keeps changing from shot to shot. Sometimes more red ones and sometimes more yellow ones on top even though the level does not drop.

Correction: During this scene we see he swirls the jelly beans around in the glass, so the level may not drop, but the colors will change as he swirls the beans.

Hot Fuzz picture

Corrected entry: When Nick Frost and Simon Pegg fire the shotguns during the shootout at the end, the rounds cause a large hole in the people they hit. Shotguns fire lots of small lead balls, which spread over a large distance, so at the distance at which they shoot, wouldn't cause this large hole.

Correction: Shotguns can be loaded with solid slugs as well as shot pellets. A slug from a shotgun would leave a single big hole.

Vacancy picture

Corrected entry: When Luke and Kate go back into the underground tunnels they head up and into a shop. Luke covers the trap door with what looks like a pretty solid and heavy desk. The mechanic seems to lift the door covered with the desk with ease and manages to hold it up for periods of time to take stabs at them.

Correction: The mechanic could be extremely strong, if you are very strong you would be able to lift the desk.

The Invasion picture

Corrected entry: The beginning of the film shows the outdated logo of NASA on both their trucks and outfits. NASA stopped using the "worm" logo soon after the Challenger disaster. The new logo is referred to as the "meatball" logo.

Correction: This is not a true story, historical event or documentary. There was also no shuttle named Patriot. The filmmakers can use any logos they want.

Into the Wild picture

Corrected entry: Immediately following the point where Chris's sister's narration mentions him as a child breaking into a neighbor's kitchen, and just before he is seen running with wild horses, there is a scene where he jumps from a cliff into a body of water. There is a wonderful underwater shot of him holding his breath, and in the background under his right arm you can see a diver's hand come into the shot. It looks like a woman's hand - it must have been one of the divers on the shoot.

Correction: The "visible hand" mentioned is actually the actor's right foot.

Charlie Wilson's War picture

Corrected entry: Twice, there is reference to the "township of Nacogdoches." Texas doesn't have townships.

Correction: That will be news to Irvinggton Twp, TX and Monroe Twp, Tx, for starters. And Nacogdoches itself certainly was a township during the time of Sam Houston (1830s). I would guess some of the locals might still call it just that, even if it may no longer be a township in a legal sense by this film's 1980 era.

The Sandlot: Heading Home picture

Corrected entry: The film is set between 2007 and 1976, and during a scene in 1976 the lead character, Tommy, goes to a diner. The waitress asks what he wants, and laughs when he says "coffee," citing his young age. She brings up something else instead: Cherry Coke. However, Cherry Coke was first introduced to a test audience at the 1982 World's Fair. It went into mainstream production in 1985. The scene happened nine years too early.

LuminousSpecter

Correction: The problem with quoting Wikipedia is the information there is not always 100% accurate. In diners, since at least the 1940s, fountain drinks could be ordered with a shot of flavoring, one of the most popular being cherry. Cherry coke doesn't necessarily mean only the product sold by Coca Cola, since many diners had been adding flavorings for decades by the 1970s.

The Number 23 picture

Corrected entry: If Walter and Ag only met 13 years ago, how is their son any older than 12?

Correction: I just saw this film today, and I don't recall specifically being told that the boy is Walter's biological son. Perhaps Agatha had already had him when she met Walter.

Planet Terror picture

Corrected entry: In the scene where Dr. Block is about to inject Dakota Block with the yellow and red syringes, it is evident that there are no needles in the syringes. Watch closely as Dr. Block pulls the protective plastic cover off of the syringes with his teeth and there are no needles on the syringes. (00:39:45 - 00:41:10)

Correction: Since it's very obvious onscreen I always took this as another intentional move to make the film more like the older grindhouse movies.

In the Valley of Elah picture

Corrected entry: At 1:18:07, Deerfield breaks Det. Sanders' nose. Later, the day after (specifically at 1:23:45), when the police find the dead woman in the bathroom, Det. Sanders touches her nose for a couple of seconds in a gesture of sadness. If that nose was really broken she would not be able to do that for that amount of time. (01:23:45)

Correction: Everyone processes pain differently and, in fact, almost all nose breaks result in some initial numbness and shock. Additionally, we can not say how much pressure, if any, she's placing against her nose. She knows it's broken and is the best judge of how much it can be moved and how much pain she can endure. At worst, it is a character choice.

Fracture picture

Corrected entry: Flores tells Willy "It's no good as evidence, it's never been fired." He checks the paperwork regarding the gun purchase and tells Willy "it's property of the defendant, bought about one month ago." Since the gun found actually belongs to Lt. Rob Nunally, it should have been previously fired several times. Most law enforcement officers qualify with their sidearms once to six times per year. Even if it's a new firearm, Rob would have practiced using it after its purchase. No one would bet their life on an unfired firearm. It's unlikely that both firearms would be in the same condition even if they were the same model/caliber. An LA police detective would have compared the purchase document (showing the serial number) for Ted Crawford's gun with the actual serial number on the gun found in Crawford's house. In this case, they would not have matched and any detective would look at all guns that were in the house when Crawford was taken into custody. (00:31:00 - 00:31:30)

Dr. Thomas

Correction: Mr. Crawford's gun was never fired. Nunally's gun has been fired. When Mr. Crawford went to the hotel to replace his gun with Rob Nunally's gun (which was probably fired at least once). He then used Nunally's gun to kill his wife. When the police came and he and Nunally put down their guns, Nunally holstered his real gun and the murder weapon and walked it out of the door, while the weapon that the police recovered was Mr. Crawford's real gun, which is not the murder weapon, and has never been fired. So the serial number of the gun matched Mr. Crawford's real gun. Nunally's gun never really went 'missing' and he didn't suspect anything so he didn't have to run its serial number and because Nunally never fired his gun it didn't need to be processed.

Correction: Crawford tells Willie that when Nunally was reeling after realising that the victim was his lover, it was a simple thing to swap the guns. (If you remember, Nunally and Crawford had agreed to both put down their guns to enable Nunally to enter the house). So Nunally left with his police issue firearm, the murder weapon, and Crawford's 'clean' gun remained at the house.

Michael Clayton picture

Corrected entry: In the scene where Michael is leaving a message on Arthur's answering machine, the machine reads 39 messages, then goes into record mode as the message is left. Halfway through the message, the machine flashes 40 messages, however Michael is still talking. The machine should not have showed 40 messages until he was finished talking or the call was ended by the machine.

Correction: My answering machine begins flashing to tell me there is a message right after the outgoing message, and during the incoming recording voice. The caller doesn't have to finish speaking for a message notification to start flashing.

Bridge to Terabithia picture

Corrected entry: In the scene where The Aaron's family and Leslie are leaving church, the truck is first seen driving past a speed limit sign in the lane "oncoming" to the viewer. At the end of the same scene, the truck is seen driving down the same road, past the same speed limit sign, but is in the opposite lane, driving away from the viewer.

Correction: Why can't there be a speed limit sign on both sides of the road, in the same location?

Captivity picture

Corrected entry: When Jennifer sees her now alive dog through the glass, the killer takes the dog away and there's a close-up of a note saying "Tricked you ha ha ha", but when they pull back the note now says "Nobody's perfect". When they go back to the close-up the note is back to the first saying.

Correction: He actually flips the card.
