Corrected entry: The people who get bitten early on in the film take several hours to develop any symptoms. Then once they start biting people everyone develops symptoms within minutes. The doctor says that the incubation time varies with blood type, but it's beyond willing suspension of disbelief that the first victims all share the same blood type that is resistant while the later victims all share the same blood type that is barely resistant at all.
Corrected entry: In the scene when Sydney first meets Dinky, Dinky asks her what she's wearing for the rush party. Dinky says she's narrowed her choices down to five, yet the dress she actually is shown wearing is not one of the five dress that was shown.
Correction: Yes, Dinky said that she narrowed her dress choices down to five, but it most certainly does not mean she couldn't have changed her mind a dozen times over and then decided upon a sixth, seventh, or umpteenth choice, by the time she finally made her final decision for the sorority rush. No error here.
Corrected entry: When the Scammer aliens first arrive at Planet Express, they walk right by Fry, yet they don't detect his tattoo until several scenes later.
Correction: It could be that Fry's body odor, or the layers of clothing he had on blocked the scammers "spronger" and therefore delayed their discovery.
Corrected entry: At his high school talent show perfomance, Dewey's mom said that Dewey was 14 years old and that scene was set in 1953, yet at the end of the movie it says Dewey was born in 1936, which would have made him 17 in 1953, not 14.
Correction: He could have been 16, not 17, depending on when in the year he was born. Regardless, his mother could easily have made a character mistake and remembered his age wrong. If you don't think a mother might make a mistake in an age, I can say for a certainty that it does happen, since it hasd been my experience a few times in my life, especially as I got older.
Corrected entry: When the character Paco first removes the shackles on the island, he is seen tossing the key away. Moments later, he encounters Conrad; and after being released from Conrad's grip, Paco tosses the key he previously thrown away.
Correction: Cut and pasted from IMdB.
Corrected entry: In the scene where the two soldiers fall/jump from the helicopter, which was traveling at least 100 MPH., it is simply not possible for them to survive this.
Correction: And yet people have survived falls/jumps from aircraft, from higher altitudes than that in real life.
Corrected entry: When Dakota is fighting off the killer, she is tied up after she is knocked unconscious. There is no way a man with one arm can tie up a girl in triple knots.
Correction: There is absolutely no reason a one armed individual would be unable to tie any knot you care to list. They'd simply need to go about it a different way than someone with two arms.
Corrected entry: In the trailer of the movie, the wooden dinosaur plays with a rubber ball and pauses every time Henry looks back at the store. In the movie itself, the dinosaur plays Frisbee instead and hides under the counter. Also, in the trailer the giant ball is colored orange-blue-white, while in the movie the giant ball is entirely red.
Correction: Trailers often use alternative takes, or even scenes ultimately deleted from the film, usually having been created long before the final cut of the film is locked down. As such, differences between a trailer and the eventual film cannot realistically be considered as mistakes.
Corrected entry: When Alex and Cora perform "A Way back into Love" at the end of the movie Cora doesn't sing the new last verse.
Correction: Character Choice. I've been to concerts where the band didn't play a complete song.
Corrected entry: Emily is telling Dial how to get to a meeting place and she says that "it's a block past such and such," although British people don't use the word block to explain distance.
Correction: Not traditionally, no, but in recent decades we've started using it a lot more, particularly in the larger cities and among those who watch a lot of films. So it's not at all unfeasible.
Corrected entry: The investigating detective at the first two crime scenes refers to the shell casings as coming from a 9mm "automatic". The correct reference is to a "semi-automatic".
Correction: So what? As long as those around him understand what he means, he's not under any obligation to use absolutely precise terminology. He knows what he means, those around him will know what he means, doesn't matter if it's not absolutely precise.
Corrected entry: Near the start of the film, Eben and Billy find a pile of burned cell phones, the phones having been stolen by the Stranger to stop the people of Barrow calling for help. Later in the film, both Eben and Stella are seen using their cell phones. Why not use them to call for help?
Correction: Because the local towers had subsequently been destroyed.
Corrected entry: How does Simon get into the "secret" closet, if Laura had the handle to the door that she had to "discover" the whole time?
Correction: He opened it and then hid the door handle so his mother would have to "find it". When she inadvertently locked him in, he couldn't open it from the inside.
Corrected entry: When Holly is writing Gerry's parents' address on the packages to send to them in Ireland, she writes their names and then the address as: "412 Jerious Lane, Enniskerry, Ireland." The address was obviously Americanised as the Irish postal system requires the county to be written on the address as well, so, the address should have been written, "Enniskerry, Co. Wicklow, Ireland." Also, when Holly visits Gerry's parents, they live on a country road, and in Ireland, the country houses are not numbered and the country roads do not have names. There are small regions called townlands instead.
Correction: First, leaving the county off the package would be an easy mistake for an American to make, And yet, the package would likely find it's way to the proper address without it. The home we see may not be where the parents physically get their mail (especially if un-numbered on an un-named road), so the address she used may be where their mail is indeed picked up.
Corrected entry: In Geri's Game, Geri is the only person sitting at the table playing chess by and against himself, yet in one shot we see "Losing" Geri at one end of the table and "Winning" Geri's hand moving a black Rook to capture a white Knight. (00:02:25)
Correction: No mistake. Geri imagines his opponent.
Corrected entry: Adam Sandler's character is shown playing (and referring to) the video game "Shadow of the Collosus." This is actually relevant to the plot and character. It is a game with very little dialogue, about a man trying to bring someone he presumably loves back to life. One can obviously see why he would play this game, as he is still dealing with his own loss, and has problems communicating with others. Also, the game features a final boss which is inside of a massive tower. Once defeated, the creature and tower collapse. One should easily be able to see the ironic symbolism of the game's imagery compared to 9/11 and Sandler's character.
Correction: This is not trivia, this is your relation to the content of the film.
Correction: The doctor only said that some blood types are resistant and some aren't, he never said which types. It's possible that only 1-2 blood types is highly resistant while all others offer very little. They all took different times to turn (the doctor took a few minutes, the original policeman took approx 20 for example), so it's possible the first woman just had very resistant blood.
