Watchmen (2009)

Question: One thing that's been slightly puzzling me since I read the book (and watched the film): Does Rorschach know that he's entering The Comedian's apartment when he breaks in? or does he just go around randomly entering crime scenes?

Sanguis

Chosen answer: He does, in fact, go around snooping around crime scenes. In the comic, he says "Investigated routine homicide. Found costume in Blake's wardrobe. Seems he was the Comedian."

Frasier (1993)

Sleeping with the Enemy - S3-E6

Character mistake: Noel Shempsky (the supposed Star Trek Nerd) attributes the quote "The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few or the one" to James T. Kirk, when it was Spock who said it.

Other mistake: When 1 strikes off 2 (I think) from the calendar we can see that 1 is Wednesday, 2 is Thursday, 3 is Friday and that 4 is Saturday but 5 is Monday; meaning that Sunday has no date.

Question: When they settle on New Caprica, is (roughly) 49,000 people sufficiently genetically diverse enough to ensure survival or would the colony start to run into trouble after a few generations?

Sanguis

Chosen answer: 100 breeding couples would be plenty with genetic screening, which Colonial tech seems easily capable of. 50,000 would be more than sufficient even with old-fashioned random pairings.

Grumpy Scot

Continuity mistake: When the Planet Express ship bursts into the explosion ceremony Bender is wearing a Feministas mask. When the No.9 Man talks to the encyclopod he is no longer wearing it, it reappears when the encyclopod flies off and Zapp Brannigan tries to arrest them.

Hell is Other Robots - S1-E9

Factual error: When Bender is dipped in the baptismal oil the oil level in the barrel doesn't change; which it should because of the Archimedes Principle.

Trivia: When Zapp Brannigan tells Leela to surrender by waving her shirt in the air, there is a shot of Leela pulling her shirt off whilst the camera pans up and we see a shot of her breasts for a few frames. Confirmed on the Audio Commentary. However neither of her breasts have nipples; possibly as a result of her being a mutant.

Futurama (1999)

Anthology of Interest I - S2-E20

Revealing mistake: When The Joker destroys the hospital the windows on the second and third story don't reflect anything. This is because the day before shooting at the abandoned building vandals broke in and destroyed the windows, meaning they needed to be replaced by CGI. Confirmed in the "Making of".

Continuity mistake: Gromit uses the handbrake to let the ship take off, but when travelling between the Earth and the Moon there is a shot of the control console and the handbrake has disappeared.

Continuity mistake: When Wallace races out to get the crackers Gromit is seen spinning in his chair, to the right of the screen is the handbrake in the down position. When the ship blasts off Gromit realises he's left it on and puts it from the up position to the down position.

Continuity mistake: When Smith is finally destroyed there is a wide shot and a close shot of the Oracle lying in the water filled crater. In the wide shot, there is a lot more water; her arm is completely underwater and so is half her face. In the close up, her head is almost entirely above water and her arm is visible.
