The World Needs Heroes. Over. - S2-E9

Other mistake: The Doctor, coming up from the basement of his house, is locking both deadbolt locks using a key held in his right hand. He logically would use the same hand to put the key in his upper left pocket. Richard who is watching through binoculars uses a walkie talkie to inform both Ezra and Jules that the Doctor has put the keys in his upper left pocket. However, the next scene shows the Doctor with keys now in his left hand placing the keys in his upper right pocket. This doesn't match what Richard says he observed. (00:24:42)

Imbroglio - S3-E9

Factual error: During the intro, the pilot is talking to a British Air Traffic Controller (ATC) as he's lining up his aircraft for landing at Benson (RAF Airport) in South Oxfordshire, England. The pilot reports "We're passing through flight level one-seven, for 2,500." Flight Level (FL) one-seven is 1,700 feet. In English (no pun intended), the pilot is saying he is passing through altitude 1,700 feet to his desired altitude of 2,500 feet. This may make sense if they were increasing their altitude, but since the pilot is preparing to land, it doesn't. (00:00:25)

Scientia Potentia Est - S1-E7

Factual error: Once the Queen has given Mr. Churchill his "dressing down", he simply turns to leave the room. However, he had not been dismissed. The Queen always pushes a button positioned on a side table to call her equerry who enters the room to escort guests out. With Mr. Churchill, she did not request her equerry. (00:54:00)

The Perfect Female - S2-E8

Question: When Andy and Karen are competing at the skeet shoot, Andy fires his last shot and Barney states "he missed." If you look closely, several pieces of the skeet actually break off the skeet, but the primary skeet is missed. Not knowing the details of skeet shooting, how much of the skeet must be destroyed for a successful "hit"? (00:19:50)

18th and Potomac - S2-E21

Character mistake: While in the Situation Room Leo says twice "we need the calvary." According to Webster, calvary is a proper noun that refers to the hillside on which Jesus was crucified. Cavalry is a group of highly mobile army troops. Leo meant to say "cavalry" but mispronounced it. The subtitle is correct with the spelling "cavalry." Leo would definitely know better. (00:19:00)

Fracture (2007)

Plot hole: Flores tells Willy "It's no good as evidence, it's never been fired." He checks the paperwork regarding the gun purchase and tells Willy "it's property of the defendant, bought about one month ago." Since the gun found actually belongs to Lt. Rob Nunally, it should have been previously fired several times. Most law enforcement officers qualify with their sidearms once to six times per year. Even if it's a new firearm, Rob would have practiced using it after its purchase. No one would bet their life on an unfired firearm. It's unlikely that both firearms would be in the same condition even if they were the same model/caliber. An LA police detective would have compared the purchase document (showing the serial number) for Ted Crawford's gun with the actual serial number on the gun found in Crawford's house. In this case, they would not have matched and any detective would look at all guns that were in the house when Crawford was taken into custody. (00:31:00 - 00:31:30)

Suggested correction: Mr. Crawford's gun was never fired. Nunally's gun has been fired. When Mr. Crawford went to the hotel to replace his gun with Rob Nunally's gun (which was probably fired at least once). He then used Nunally's gun to kill his wife. When the police came and he and Nunally put down their guns, Nunally holstered his real gun and the murder weapon and walked it out of the door, while the weapon that the police recovered was Mr. Crawford's real gun, which is not the murder weapon, and has never been fired. So the serial number of the gun matched Mr. Crawford's real gun. Nunally's gun never really went 'missing' and he didn't suspect anything so he didn't have to run its serial number and because Nunally never fired his gun it didn't need to be processed.

Suggested correction: Crawford tells Willie that when Nunally was reeling after realising that the victim was his lover, it was a simple thing to swap the guns. (If you remember, Nunally and Crawford had agreed to both put down their guns to enable Nunally to enter the house). So Nunally left with his police issue firearm, the murder weapon, and Crawford's 'clean' gun remained at the house.

House of Cards (2013)

Chapter 43 - S4-E4

Revealing mistake: After Underwood and Meechum are both shot, other agents pick up the president to transport him to a hospital. Agent Meechum is lying on his back with eyes open. Another agent takes his firearm and checks his carotid artery. Since the agent walks away from Meechum, it's assumed Meechum is dead. However, Meechum is still breathing. (00:21:40)

Hyde Park Corner - S1-E2

Continuity mistake: On the morning of King George VI's death, the King's valet is in the dumbwaiter lift bringing up the King's tea and breakfast. Inside the lift shows the valet pulling the rope as it raises to the King's sleeping floor. The waiters are facing front and away from the valet, and the covered wall light is located closest to the main door with the rope in the left-rear corner. As the lift stops, the waiters are now facing the valet to the left, and the covered wall light is now located closest to the rear of the lift with the main rope now located in the left-front corner. These two scenes were filmed in two separate sets. (00:23:05)

Wolferton Splash - S1-E1

Continuity mistake: After the wedding between Elizabeth and Phillip, the royal family walks to the Buckingham Palace balcony to greet the British citizens. Peter gives a lit cigarette to King George VI who takes a few puffs, hands it back to Peter, then walks toward the balcony. He stops for a moment, attempts to straighten his jacket and inadvertently pulls his tie down about half an inch, making it look disheveled. A few seconds later, the Queen Mother turns to help walk the king outside. Now, the king's tie is straightened up as it was about five seconds earlier. (00:17:35)

Kaleidoscope - S1-E8

Continuity mistake: Roy and Scotty pull up in their truck just as Roy's mom Barb is carrying a coffee table down concrete stairs from a house (not sure if it's Barb's house). After Roy and Scotty load it in their truck and ready to drive off, Barb asks them to "hang on" for a minute. Barb appears to jog a few paces on the sidewalk before running up the concrete stairs. When she reaches step five or six, she collapses. The next scene shows Roy racing to help Barb, but now she's on the sidewalk just starting step one. (00:20:10)

Chapter One: The Vanishing of Will Byers - S1-E1

Continuity mistake: When Will is being chased by the monster and runs into his garage, he pulls down his .22 rifle hanging on a wall rack. After he loads a few rounds aiming it at the door, the monster appears behind him. After Will and the monster disappear, the scene shows his rifle is back on the wall rack in its original spot. Did Will or the monster place it back on the wall rack while Will was being abducted? (00:07:25 - 00:08:10)
