Continuity mistake: Just after Toon World has been activated, and Yugi thinks "Toon World, sounds familiar" to himself, in the close-up of him, he is looking straight forwards. In the next shot, he is suddenly looking to the left. (00:03:50)

Continuity mistake: When Mai opens the door with the star chips, in the shot of her saying "Voila", Joey can be seen standing next to Yugi. Then it cuts to Yugi saying "At last, we're finally at the castle" and Joey cannot be seen standing next to him. (00:01:33)
Continuity mistake: When Tea draws the Shining Friendship monster card from her deck, just after she says "then it would be able to defeat anything," the card and the hand she is holding the card with are raised. When the shot cuts to an angle behind her, her hands are at her side. (00:10:54)
Continuity mistake: Whilst Kaiba is standing on the edge of the castle, in the overview shot of him saying "Of course, if you don't surrender, I might be hurt," Joey can be seen standing ahead of Tea. Tea then says "Stop it, Kaiba," and she is suddenly ahead of Joey. Then, in the shot after that, they are side-by-side. (00:13:07)
Continuity mistake: When Kaiba says "I don't need to see your hand," he lifts up the two cards in his hand. The card on the left appears to be placed on top of the card on the right. But in a close-up of his hand, the card on the right is now placed on top of the card on the left. (00:07:30)
Continuity mistake: In the flashback of Tea working at the fast food restaurant, she slams a tray of food down on the table Yugi and Joey are sitting at. There are two milkshakes with straws in them, both of which are positioned at an angle to the left. When the shot cuts, the straws are at different angles. (00:04:32)
Continuity mistake: When Kaiba is standing outside Mokuba's cell, his body is angled slightly to the right, and then he turns his head further to the right, so that he can face Pegasus. When the shot cuts to focus on Pegasus, his body is directly facing Kaiba. (00:01:03)

Other mistake: Joey activates the monster card Copycat and uses its ability to activate the ability of the spell card Riyoku. This spell card allows him to take half of the brothers' life points and add it to his Black Skull Dragon. The brothers lose 450 life points each (totalling 900 points), but Black Skull Dragon only gains 800 attack points (from 3200 to 4000) instead of 900. (00:12:24)

Continuity mistake: When Yugi says, "It's going to be up to Joey to keep us in this duel, and I know he won't let us down," Joey begins to lift a card from his deck. In the close-up of Joey's hand, the card is raised slightly, but when the shot cuts, the card hasn't been raised. (00:12:00)

Continuity mistake: After Magical Labyrinth has been activated, the maze on the duel field begins to rearrange itself. There is a shot of the duel monsters on the field, where Dark Magician has his arms crossed. When the shot cuts, his arms are lowered. (00:06:00)

Revealing mistake: In the overview shot of Dox placing Jirai Gumo face down, all the cards in his hand appear to be missing the illustrations. (00:16:08)

Revealing mistake: When Joey places his Ax Raider card on the duel mat, the card appears to be entirely yellow and missing the illustrations usually shown on the card. (00:15:20)

Other mistake: When the effect of Magician of Faith is activated, there is a shot from above that shows the card with the wrong attack and defence points. Magician of Faith has 300 attack points and 400 defence points, but in this shot, it has 2500 attack points and 2100 defence points. These are the same points as Dark Magician, but not Magician of Faith. (00:15:36)

Continuity mistake: When Joey destroys the Morphing Jar monster, Yugi and Bakura discard the cards in their hands and redraw the same number of cards. When Yugi draws the last card, his right hand is touching it. In a close-up of the cards, where it's revealed the last card was Dark Magician, his right hand is not touching it. (00:07:30)

Continuity mistake: When Joey is summoned to the field as Flame Swordsman, he turns around to see Giant Yugi. The purple section of the card can be seen behind him when he says, "Oh man, I finally cracked," but in every other shot of Joey whilst he is speaking with Yugi, the card can be seen behind him and it is completely blank. Continuity mistake: When Bakura asks, "Which of your friends will you sacrifice next?" there is a close-up of the cards in Yugi's hand. In this shot, his right hand is not touching any of the cards. When the shot cuts, his right hand is suddenly touching one of them. (00:05:12)
