Continuity mistake: On the short hunter's first turn, he sets a monster face down in defence position, and on the tall hunter's first turn, he also sets a monster face down in defence position. Other mistake: During the duel with Marik's hunters, in the shot where Kaiba says "I hope you realise this is just the beginning of what my deck has in store for you", the spell card Pot of Greed can be seen in the monster zone on Kaiba's duel disk. First, Kaiba already activated this card so it should be in his graveyard. Second, since this card is a spell card, it should be in his spell and trap card zone and not his monster zone. (00:04:00)
Continuity mistake: When Yugi wins the duel, there is a shot where Kaiba and Mokuba can be seen in the background. A briefcase can be seen next to Mokuba, but when it cuts to a closer angle of the two, it has changed position. (00:15:29)
Continuity mistake: In the previous episode, when Yugi realised that Buster Blader was one of the cards in his hand, Dark Magician was also one of the cards shown in his hand. In this episode, the Dark Magician card is never seen again.
Continuity mistake: When Yugi's life points go down to 3100 after Slifer the Sky Dragon destroys Buster Blader, his Kuriboh card is face down on his duel disk, even though it was face up when he summoned it earlier. Seconds after this happens, his Kuriboh card is suddenly face up on his duel disk. (00:14:19)
Other mistake: Marik summons Slifer the Sky Dragon, which is featured on his side of the field for the entirety of the episode, but whenever his duel disk is shown, the Slifer the Sky Dragon card cannot be seen on it. Instead, there is just a spell card, which shouldn't be there, because spell cards are inserted into slots on the duel disk and are not placed in the monster card zone.
Continuity mistake: When Yugi summons Kuriboh in defence mode, Kuriboh appears on the duel field, levitating a few inches above the Kuriboh card. In the next shot, Kuriboh is levitating several feet above the Kuriboh card. (00:09:05)
Other mistake: When Marik activates the spell card Pot of Greed, in the shot of him inserting the card into the spell/trap card slot, another version of the card can be seen in the monster card zone on his duel disk, even though it shouldn't be there. (00:06:30)
Other mistake: When Marik draws Worm Drake from his deck, the monster card is a Level 8 monster. Worm Drake is a Level 4 monster. (00:11:23)
Other mistake: When Yugi summons Gazelle the King of Mythical Beasts, the attack and defence points display shows it to have 2100 defence points. This monster only has 1200 defence points, as shown on the card when Yugi summoned it. (00:10:55)
Continuity mistake: During the flashback of Yugi building the Millennium Puzzle, in the establishing shot, Yugi has his left hand on the back of the puzzle. But in a close-up of the puzzle, his left hand is across the side of it. (00:04:43)

Other mistake: When Weevil's life points are reduced to 3250, it cuts to the laptop in Serenity's hospital room. The display shows Weevil's life point count going down to 3250 as well, but once the points stop reducing to 3250, there is a brief moment where Weevil's life point count suddenly switches to 0 at the end of the shot. Other mistake: When Joey says "Here goes nothing," there are no monster cards visible on his duel disk, even though he already has two monsters on his side of the field. (00:10:17)

Other mistake: After Weevil summons Insect Queen, the scene cuts to the laptop in Serenity's hospital room where the duel is being streamed. The display on the laptop of the duel shows no monster cards on Weevil's field, even though he just summoned Insect Queen. (00:08:30)
Playing with a Parasite: Part 2 - S2-E15
Other mistake: When Insect Queen is summoned to the field, the card is shaded yellow, indicating that it is a Normal Monster. However, Insect Queen has an effect that allows it to gain 200 Attack Points for every Insect Monster on the field, meaning that it is an Effect Monster and those types of monsters are shaded orange, not yellow. Playing with a Parasite: Part 2 - S2-E15
Character mistake: Weevil tells Joey that the only monster cards that have enough attack points to defeat Perfectly Ultimate Great Moth are Gate Guardian and Blue Eyes Ultimate Dragon. However, at this point in the series, monster cards such as Dragon Master Knight and Five-Headed Dragon (which have 5000 attack points each) were established to exist and could defeat Perfectly Ultimate Great Moth, which has 3500 attack points. Other mistake: When Weevil summons Leghul to the field, the card is shown to have 350 defence points when it is placed on the duel disk. When the monster appears on the field, the attack and defence points display shows it to have 500 defence points. (00:17:47)
