The One With Monica's Boots - S8-E10
Corrected entry: In the scene with Joey's sister where Rachel says 'Give him the sandwich' the bathroom is gone and there are only red bricks. (00:12:19)
The One With The Stain - S8-E7
Corrected entry: In this episode, Phoebe abandons having lunch with Ross because of a date with Eric; however in 'The One With All The Cheesecakes', Phoebe makes a huge speech about how you 'do not cancel plans with friends'.
Correction: "The One With All The Cheesecakes" is one season prior to "The One With The Stain." In the former, Phoebe was tempted to cancel her monthly lunch with Joey, for a date with David. (That's after her speech!) She didn't, but Joey mistreated her anyway. This may have caused her to revise her principle of "do not cancel plans with friends" over the course of one year. But more importantly, Phoebe, a human being, is well capable of overlooking principles for self-interest. What can plausibly be explained by selfishness, forgetfulness and deceitfulness must not be attributed to a filming mistake.
Corrected entry: When Monica and Chandler walk into the dance hall, a cameraman is seen following them.
Correction: This is an actor portraying a wedding videographer.
The One With The Birthing Video - S8-E15
Corrected entry: When Rachel gets her Chinese food, she says she is going to get her sweats and eat it in her room. However a few seconds later, she is changed. It has to be the fastest change in history. (00:13:00)
Correction: After Rachel gets her Chinese takeout delivery, when she heads to her room it's actually 20 seconds from the time she walks past the hallway to the time she reappears from the hallway. That's ample time to throw off shoes, a blouse and pants, then pull on sweats. Done in less time in dorms everywhere.
The One With The Rumor - S8-E9
Corrected entry: Even though Chandler and Phoebe say they don't really watch the football game, it seems as though they agree that Detroit Lions won the game. But the 2001 Thanksgiving Day game between the Lions and the Packers were indeed won by the Packers.
Correction: You missed the whole point - they say they don't watch the game and then they guessed the wrong winning team.
The One With The Red Sweater - S8-E2
Corrected entry: Ross and Chandler are in the ballroom looking for the disposable cameras. Chandler comes out from under the table, a disposable camera is in clear shot on top of the table but neither character notices.
The One With The Red Sweater - S8-E2
Corrected entry: Chandler and Ross go back to the reception site to take pictures with disposable cameras to "replace" the cameras they had misplaced. Chandler is posing, smiling, etc. In the previous season, Chandler and Monica are getting their engagement picture taken and Chandler can't smile for the camera. In fact, Monica ends up taking her picture with Joey and puts that in the paper.
The One Where Rachel Tells... - S8-E3
Corrected entry: In the scene where Phoebe and Joey figure out that Monica took away their keys, Phoebe had gotten a drink out of the fridge and set it down in front of her. In the next shot it is in front of Joey.
The One With The Red Sweater - S8-E2
Corrected entry: When Rachel walks up to Tag's table, she sets her purse on it. It stays there for a couple of shots, and then she sets it down again.
The One With The Birthing Video - S8-E15
Corrected entry: When Phoebe is eating the Saltwater Taffy, she bites off a little bit and finishes chewing it. However, once she finishes chewing it she seems to have magically eaten the whole piece.
Correction: If you look closely at the wrapper in her hand once she has finished, you can see that the remainder of the taffy has been wrapped in it.
The One In Massapequa - S8-E18
Corrected entry: In this episode, Rachel says to Ross, "Hey. I'm not you. This may be the only wedding I'll ever get." However, this is not strictly true, as she sort of had a wedding to Barry, and a drunken wedding to Ross in The One In Vegas.
The One Where Rachel is Late - S8-E22
Corrected entry: Rachel's water breaks yet her clothes (especially her skirt) are completely dry.
Correction: When the water breaks, it doesn't necessarily have to be a big "splash". There can be just a few drops or a light stream, not enough to make the clothes wet, but still enough for the woman to feel it.
The One With Joey's Interview - S8-E19
Corrected entry: Joey buys all the muffins, and Gunther hands him a plate with all of them on (and promises all of them to him). However, straight after Phoebe walks past with a muffin.
Correction: She could have got it before Joey bought them all. Or even bought it from another store.
The One With Monica's Boots - S8-E10
Corrected entry: In The One With Monica's Boots, Joey finds out that his younger sister Deena is pregnant. Joey then storms off to find her boyfriend Bobby and manages to find him. How would he be able to, though? It is made clear that Joey has never met Bobby before, therefore he would not know what he looks like or where to find him. Even if he did some how manage to find him how did he manage to do it so quickly?
Correction: It is probably likely that he went down to their neighborhood and asked around, it isn't that hard to locate someone if you have their entire name (which Deena gave him). Also, you don't know how long it took him. Considering that the scene that shows Joey lecturing both Bobby and Deena came after the scene that shows Monica and Chandler at the party at nighttime, one can conclude that it took Joey a while to locate Bobby.
The One With The Red Sweater - S8-E2
Corrected entry: When Joey is proposing to Rachel, Phoebe is in the background with a water bottle, and screws the lid on twice in the scene.
Correction: Phoebe drinks a little bit of the water, and than, if you look closely, you can see her un-screwing the bottle the first time, without her putting the lid back on, and a little bit later she screws it back on.
The One In Massapequa - S8-E18
Corrected entry: In the one with Ross and Monica's parents' 35th wedding anniversary, when the parents are talking to Ross and Rachel, there is a picture of the parents in the background, in exactly the same location, wearing exactly the same clothes. That photo would have had to be taken, printed, and blown up in the last hour. (00:05:40)
Correction: Not out of the question. At my prom last year we had our photographs taken as we arrived and then they were available (ie, printed) to buy not much later on in the evening. I imagine that if this is possible, so is the provision of an enlarged version. Added to that, Jack and Judy could very likely have been at the function early, sorting things out, and had the pictures taken then - they would have been wearing the same clothes, and the photographs could have been printed even before the guests arrived.
Corrected entry: Chandler and Joey's pets, the chick and the duck, simply disappear in the later seasons without any explanation.
Correction: They explained it during "The Last One." They died, but Joey was never told that, he was told that they went to a special farm.
The One With The Secret Closet - S8-E14
Corrected entry: In "The One With The Secret Closet," the whole show is about Monica's secret closet (the one near the bathroom), why she keeps the door locked and how Chandler wants to find out what's in there. However, in "The One with the Dozen Lasagnas," the door is open and the closet reveals nothing more than clothes and other regular stuff you put in a closet. Also in the one where Phoebe and Rachel are looking for Christmas presents Rachel says she'll go and check the back closet, the one next to the bathroom.
The One With The Red Sweater - S8-E2
Corrected entry: At the end of the episode, when Ross finds the red sweater, he says that he has been looking for it for a month. If he could not find it after his night with Rachel then he would at least know it was in her apartment and not need to look for it. If he really had been looking for a month then the sweater meant enough to him that he surely would have asked where it had been found.
Correction: There are situations where you are looking for something, but you not actively "looking" for it. What I mean is that Ross knows he has the red sweater and might have wanted to wear it but obviously couldn't find it, but then forgot about it again until the next time he wanted to wear it. This means that he might not be running around search for the sweater constantly.
Correction: That's not red bricks, it's the shower curtain over the bathtub.
