Speed (1994)

Corrected entry: After their adventures aboard the bus, why does the ambulance take Jack and Annie to the drop site instead of the hospital? Annie was injured, and Jack would have no business at the drop site, other than risk the possibility of the two of them being spotted by the bomber.

Correction: Because he is a cop and requested it. Her injuries were not that serious and maybe Jack thought he could help since he had already gotten in the bomber's head.

The Holiday (2006)

Corrected entry: When Iris is on the plane she is sent a message on her phone. However this phone is different to the one she has when she gets a call after her first night in L.A.

domwhit23

Correction: She might have bought a new American phone and transfered the sim card/chip with the phone numbers.

Corrected entry: When Bella and Jacob are talking in her room, she is wearing a light yellow top, and is still seen wearing it during the dream sequence in the woods with Edward, Jacob, the Wolf (Sam), etc. Then, as she abruptly awakes, she is in a dark green top. It was assumed by most it was the same night, so the shirt color magically changed while she was asleep.

BlackBury2

Correction: Maybe she changed out of it for bed and then had the "DREAM" that she was wearing a yellow top. Dreams are not indicative of a mistake.

The Proposal (2009)

Corrected entry: Immediately following the scene where Margaret and Andrew lie to her 2 bosses about them getting married, they (Margaret and Andrew) walk to Margaret's office. As they are walking, they are poked fun at by several staff who got instant messages on their computers announcing that they're going to be married. Who sent the instant message? Surely not her 2 bosses, as that would have been highly unprofessional. Nobody could have overheard the conversation, as it was a private one. And yet the entire office instantly knew about the wedding?

Correction: Secretaries are known to "over hear" gossip and that would definitely spread fast.

Corrected entry: When Alice enters the Volturi scene, she is wearing a scarf around her neck. She then begins to take it off throughout the scene. The following shot, when they begin to go to see the Volturi leaders, they go down a flight of stairs. During this shot and for the rest of the Volturi scene's and the movie, Alice does not have her scarf.

Correction: They show her taking it off and then she doesn't have it. As long as it doesn't instantaneously reappear this isn't a mistake.

Star Trek (2009)

Corrected entry: The establishing shot of the Narada drilling into Vulcan shows the beam is visible from Spock's parents' home, and in fact Spock's mother can see it, and reacts in horror. Yet a few minutes later she is in the cave with the Vulcan leaders, who appear to be praying and have no idea what is going on, and Spock's mom seems rather calm and clueless as to what is happening. Putting aside the fact that Vulcan seems to have no defenses against the Narada, is the Vulcan Science Academy equally inept as to not being able to figure out what is going on? Wouldn't Amanda and Sarek have gotten to a shuttle and escaped? And since Sarek is the ambassador to Earth, why are they on Vulcan to begin with?

Vader47000

Correction: Okay, first you have WAY too many mistakes in one entry. 1. They are praying to save their world. This is not original in the world. There are several world religions on Earth that believe in the power of prayer over science (even ones that approve of scientific advances). She may have no idea what that beam is doing other than destroying her world. 2. There is no indication that they don't eventually figure out the effects/intention of the beam. But that doesn't mean that they have the resources available to stop it. Hence the distress call. 3. They didn't escape because "they are charged with the preservation of our culture" per Spock. This is the same as firefighters/paramedics/cops working during hurricane/disaster conditions. 4. They said he is ambassador. He could have been a past ambassador. And a current ambassador is still allowed vacation time to his home.

Sex and the City (1998)

Where there's smoke - S3-E1

Corrected entry: Carrie meets a politician at the bar and gives him her address "to determine her district." He later meets her on her stoop, and mentions that her phone number is unlisted, to which she responds that it's likely to remain that way. She never gives him her phone number, yet the night he comes by to hopefully pick her up for their date, he calls and leaves a message.

Correction: She might have given it to him or he could have contacts at phone companies and gotten it. Its not like her phone number is a national secret.

Sex and the City (1998)

Baby, talk is cheap - S4-E6

Corrected entry: In the previous episode when Steve told Miranda about the opening of Scout, he was still involved with his girlfriend Jessica. Not only was Jessica with Steve when he offered the invitation to attend the opening, but she made a big point of saying 'We'd love to have you come' meaning she and Steve were still a couple. Yet later in that episode when Miranda shows up at the Scout opening, Jessica is nowhere to be found. Not only that, but Steve leads Miranda over to the bar to 'get drunk' meaning he wanted to spend some time with her. So what happened to his girlfriend Jessica? She was just with him a few days before that. Also in this episode, when Miranda and Steve went out on the double date with Aiden and Carrie; Steve was single at this point and tried to kiss Miranda on the way home. There was never any explanation or plot concerning what happened to Steve's previous girlfriend Jessica; and it seems illogical that they would have broken up in the short time between when he invited Miranda to the bar, and the actual opening night of Scout.

Correction: Why is it illogical that they broke up? Couples break up all the time.

shortdanzr

Because it is not likely they would have broken up in that exact period of time, just a few days before the restaurant opening. It's implausible, and obviously a plot contrivance.

Sex and the City (1998)

Ghost town - S4-E5

Corrected entry: After Miranda buys her coffee and muffin, she walks out the front door of the store to confront Steve on the street. She talks to him for a few minutes, and then suddenly Jessica comes out from the same door to join them. Jessica was obviously in the store at the same time as Miranda was, and Miranda has seen Jessica before. So why didn't Miranda notice or recognize Jessica when they were in the store together? (00:01:30)

Correction: Because she is unobservant? I have passed my own mother at the store before.

The big time - S3-E8

Corrected entry: When Mr. Big is leaning against the boat rail talking to Carrie, you can see that he is not wearing a wedding ring on his left hand. This seems odd, since he just got married again. And wouldn't Natasha notice that he wasn't wearing his wedding ring as a Newlywed? (00:13:35)

Correction: Maybe he took it off because it made him feel guilty or he just was not used to wearing it yet. Plenty of married people (men and women) don't wear wedding rings for a variety of reasons.

Sex and the City (1998)

Attack of the five foot ten woman - S3-E3

Corrected entry: When Magda opens Miranda's 'Goodie Drawer', we can see a few items including a certain pink device. As the drawer is closed, it's obvious there is only one drawer on that night stand. So where is the 'Rabbit' that Miranda was so enamored of previously? Surely after spending over $90 on the 'Rabbit', Miranda would still be using it, or at least have it prominently located in her one and only 'Goodie Drawer'. (00:10:00)

Correction: Simply because she has a "goodie" drawer doesnt mean that these are the ONLY toys that she uses. Or maybe she used it and it was in her bed still!

The Notebook (2004)

Corrected entry: It is revealed toward the beginning of the film that Allie was 17 years old on June 5th, 1940. Now, Allie and Noah separate for seven years; this would mean that Allie is now 24 years old. When Allie's mother comes to find Allie after she has her affair with Noah and shows her daughter the man she used to love at the mine, she says that they were together 25 years prior. This could lead viewers to believe that the anonymous man is Allie's actual father and that Allie's mother was a teenager when she had her.

Correction: Where is the mistake? This occurs all the time, even back then when the teenage pregnancy rate was higher.

shortdanzr

It does work mathematically. I understood her statement to mean that 25 years ago she had the same choice to make as Allie. That could make the mother 49 years old. She gets married to Allie's father and gets pregnant with Allie right away.

Mathematically it doesn't add up regarding the timeline: If Allie is 24 and her mom's fling was 25 years ago, when did her mom meet Allie's father? Was she already pregnant? Were her parents already together when she was with another man?

Freaky Friday (2003)

Corrected entry: When "Anna" discovers that "Tess" has pierced her ear, she orders her to remove the earring and Tess does. The next day at the wedding, "Tess" has the earring back in her ear. This would have been impossible unless she re-pierced her ear - which stores will not do. Earrings must be left in for at least six weeks before removing/changing them.

Correction: I have 9 piercings. I have removed them multiple times before the time allowed. They don't always close up and sometimes they start to and it is possible to "push" the post through (with some pain).

Old dogs, new dicks - S2-E9

Corrected entry: When Steve and Miranda sleep together in the morning and she is wearing the turquoise nightgown, she gets up from bed and stands in the doorway talking to Steve and you can see she has white underwear on underneath the nightgown. They had just had sex so she didn't have time to put on underwear.

Corrected entry: When Robert and Vittoria visit the first church in the Path of Illumination, the sun is still up and it is fairly light. However when they go to the next church (St. Peter's Square) less then an hour later, it is pitch black. Surely the light levels can't change so drastically in one hour?
