Plot hole: After Carrie misses the Staten Island Ferry, Bill Kelly suddenly drives up in his own car to offer her a ride home. She accepts, and gets in the car. He then asks her 'how do they get off the island' as if he has no idea of what roads to take. But he has obviously driven his own car TO Staten Island, so he should know the way back. (00:27:50)
Continuity mistake: When Carrie misses her ferry her shoe is lying on the pavement in one shot, but disappears in the following.
Continuity mistake: When Sam is naked in the fire dpt. Hopping towards her clothes, she is really close to them, but when the shot changes to a wide angle she has moved further away.
Continuity mistake: When Sam is commanded to take off the firemen gear, she removes the first suspender which falls down slightly, then there's a shot from behind and the suspenders and gear are already off.
Continuity mistake: When Arthur punches a guy during brunch, In the close-up shots of Charlotte her napkin is close to her face. In the wide angles, her arms and napkin are at waist level.
Continuity mistake: When Arthur has brunch with Charlotte, his left arm is raised or lowered depending on the shot.
Continuity mistake: While Charlotte and Carrie drink at the bar and a guy shows up, Charlotte grabs her glass and brings it closer to her. From a different angle her hand is next to the counter.
Continuity mistake: When Carrie asks Miranda how may cocktails Charlotte had, she raises her left arm and takes it to her head. From the opposite angle it's lowered.
Continuity mistake: When the girls are having breakfast, Miranda puts down her mug. Shot changes and she is drinking and putting it down again. Later on the mug keeps changing positions all the time.
Continuity mistake: When Carrie and Bill are smoking at the bar, her right arm is lowered or close to her mouth, depending on the shot.
Continuity mistake: On the fery, Carrie hugs Charlotte and a blonde woman passng by disappears between shots.
Answer: I'm a long-time fan of the show, having re-watched it many times, and I definitely remember slightly different dialogue at the end of that episode than what's on my DVD. I'm afraid I have no idea why this change might have been made or any other info, but you're not insane.
