The Ring Two (2005)

Corrected entry: When Rachel went to the Morgan house, the real estate agent said that they had moved all the furniture to the basement when preparing for the sale of the house. When Rachel goes down to the basement, she pushes a lot of cobwebs out of her way, which shouldn't have been there if a lot of furniture had recently been moved to the basement. It couldn't be that the real estate agent was lying about how long ago the stuff had been moved, because the timeframe from movie 1 to 2 isn't that great.

DirrtyGrrl

Correction: Cobwebs grow in my house very quickly. The real estate agent was lying about the time frame. The furniture was moved a while ago.

Corrected entry: In the beginning, Novalee says that she was cut from her wrist to her elbow and it took 55 stitches to close her up. However, there's no scar or mark on either of her arms to indicate this ever really happened.

Ben's Mom

Correction: Some people's skin doesn't show scares very well. I am fair skined (about the same as Natalie Portman) and I had 60 stiches down my leg. Unless you know what you are looking for, you would never see the scar (sometimes I have a hard time seeing it).

Correction: Yes she does have a scar. When Novalee is taking pictures of Americus and Forney, it shows her scar. Watch the movie again and at 1:19:05 it shows her scar.

Titanic (1997)

Corrected entry: After introducing Molly Brown, Rose says that "they're steaming west". But in that scene the rising sun is to Titanic's left, which means they're going north- and at full speed.

Correction: Most people who don't know much about navigation assume that you go straight west from Great Britain to New York, however, it is actually quicker to go slighty north and follow the curvature of the earth since it is narrower at that point. Rose proably just assumed (incorrectly) like most people that they went straight west.

Titanic never traveled north after leaving Ireland. At this point in its journey, it would have been heading southwest. See this map for evidence: https://titanicfacts.net/titanic-maiden-voyage/.

The Mummy Returns (2001)

Corrected entry: The chronology is off. The movie begins in 3067 BC, and continues in 1933 AD. But that's only 3999 years, because you have to subtract a year when you go from BC to AD (to make up for the fact that there was no 'year zero', and so 1BC to 1AD were only one year apart, not two). At most, that's still a year short, and the Scorpion King is arising too early (supposed to ride every 4,000 years).

Correction: However, scholars have questioned how accurate our calendar really is. Many scientists believe that our calendar is approximately 4 years off. I have read evolution reports that place our calendar as far as 15 (usually more like 7) years behind (meaning it would be 2020 instead of 2005) to 2 years ahead (really 2003). So it is possible.

Corrected entry: The bottom few floors of the buildings are flooded. Then it freezes. But ice takes up more space than water. So the buildings would have been raised substantially. This would have made the buildings fall over when the ice melted, yet they don't.

Correction: Ice does take up more space. However, unless it is in an enclosed space, the buildings would be fine because it had plenty of room to expand up and out (and throughout the building). And the ice never melted (at least not in the movie). The end of the movie showed everything covered in ice and snow.

Charmed (1998)

Ex Libris - S2-E19

Corrected entry: Phoebe's final is on Friday morning, but when she comes to the Goo-Goo Dolls concert at P3 (on Saturday, according to the posters) she's already received her grade. There is no way her final would have been corrected and her grade posted up that fast.

Shay

Correction: Her grade very much could have been posted by that point. I taught a college course and my class had their final on a friday night, We had to have their final exam grades and overall class grades by Sunday morning. So that is the same time period and everyone's grades were done. Maybe the professor had help.

Correction: They didn't change the line, I just got the DVD and it still says "he's got slaves...."

Waterworld (1995)

Corrected entry: Since all the Jet Skis in the movie seem to be from the late twentieth/early twenty-first century, and the Exxon Valdez can only hold so much oil, and it has probably been centuries (at least) since the water level rose, there would probably be a very strict oil rationing law in place for there to be any oil left at all. Certainly not enough for the villains to be as profligate with the use of the Jet Skis as they are.

Correction: You are assuming lots of things. There are no laws in this movie, it has become everyone for themselves. So who is to say that there is an oil rationing law. Second, maybe there was more than one oil tanker and the Exxon Valdez was the last one and so therefore everyone was DESPERATE to find dry land.

The Italian Job (2003)

Corrected entry: After dropping the armored car containing the gold through the street, they discover that the safe has been switched to a model with a glass part that, if broken, with cause steel rods to spring into place, locking the safe closed. They all worry about that, but they shouldn't. After all, it didn't break when dropped forty feet in the armored car, as you can tell when they actually open the safe.

Correction: Yes, it didnt' break, however, maybe they were just lucky in that department. Also, the drop may have made it more brittle which is why it "cracked" when Stella was drilling it. I have dropped a pane of glass that didn't break, but then as soon as I tried to fit it into something, it cracked.

Daylight (1996)

Corrected entry: In the scene when Stallone uses the plastic explosives to block the water from entering the tunnel which contains all the survivors, he climbs up on some wreckage and shoves the explosive charge into a big pile of mud. When he pulls his hand out, it's perfectly clean. One would think he would have at least some mud left on his arm, seeing how far he shoved it in.

Correction: His hand had to come out via the water. Therefore, that much rushing water cleaned his hand off.

Deep Blue Sea (1999)

Corrected entry: If the crew acknowledges the fact that these sharks have been modified enough to possibly swim backwards, why are they so shocked when it happens?

Correction: Only Dr. McCallister knew that the sharks had been genetically altered. Everyone else just thought that they were breeding them for the protein complex which would not necessarily mean that they could swim backwards.

Daredevil (2003)

Corrected entry: When Electra is in her room practising her techniques to murder Daredevil, her hair is in a tight plait down her back. When she finishes her hair is COMPLETELY undone.

Correction: I can braid or tie my hair and use tons of hairspray and gel and it will be undone completely after 15 min of cleaning my bathroom so it is not inconcievable for her hair to be undone after more physical activity.

Correction: This could also simply be a nickname as Bella is Italian for Beautiful (female). Many females in my family are sometimes nicknamed this by their men.

Stepmom (1998)

Corrected entry: Jackie asks Isabel to take care of the children while she (Isabel) is doing a professional photo shooting in the park where she has to concentrate on her work and not on babysitting, Ben gets predictably lost because Anna (who is surely old enough to keep an eye her little brother) falls asleep. During the reunion at the police station Jackie threatens to get a stay order to prevent Isabel ever to be alone again with her children, and spineless Luke goes along with her reasoning and later begs her on her knees not to talk to a lawyer, which she condescendingly agrees to. On the following day Jackie, for a change, forgets to pick her children up from school, Isabel jumps in, even risking her job, and pretends that she is at fault because she had forgotten that she had switched days with Jackie. (00:29:40 - 00:36:05)

NancyFelix

Correction: How is this a plot hole? Isabel is trying to get in good with both Jackie and the kids. Plus at the police station Jackie was freaking out. She was finally getting to vent all of her frustration at having this woman taking care of her kids. All this mistake sounds like is a plot summary.

Tears of the Sun (2003)

Corrected entry: During the movie one of the US army soldiers uses a laptop. It must be a very special one since the battery lasts for days.

Correction: Maybe he brought extra batteries? Hardly unlikely.

Bring it On (2000)

Corrected entry: Given that Carver was used in pyramids and stunts (as established by the scene where she was injured), it makes no sense that males were allowed to even try out for her spot. Male cheerleaders are not used in pyramids (except as bases), and therefore only a female could effectively replace her on the squad.

Correction: It would be possible to put the male as a base in another spot and then move a female base into Carver's flying positions.

Die Another Day (2002)

Corrected entry: You can't electrocute someone with a medical defibrillator, even if you do hit them with both pads. They come equipped with a very sensitive device which stops the current flow if a heartbeat is detected.

Correction: I am a paramedic and that is not always true. You can still do some serious damage with a defibrillator. They don't always stop the current flow.

Bring it On (2000)

Corrected entry: After Torrence wakes up from her dream at the beginning of the movie, her alarm clock starts to go off. Then without her even touching it, it stops.

Correction: My alarm clock turns itself off after a set period of time which isn't very effective because you can learn to sleep through that minute or whatever.

Entrapment (1999)

Corrected entry: When they're pulling the lst heist, they use fingerprint powder on a keypad. But why would they do that, as they know the combination? "Don't use a cannon to kill mosquitoes."

Correction: They don't know the combination. Catherine Zeta Jones is never shown to speak the language and so therefore she was the only one to know it. When they used the fingerprint powder, Sean Connery says cannon, mosquitos, kill, etc and she remembers what she was told and then Sean Connery uses the code.
