Friday the 13th Part VII: The New Blood (1988)
Answer: I think that Jason is actually afraid of unpredictable situations with water. He is familiar with Crystal Lake after living in the forest for so long. He might be less hesitant to enter this lake sometimes.

Critters (1986)
Question: The movie's called Critters yet they're referred to as Krites. Which name is correct and why the two names?
Answer: "Krite" is the official name of the creatures, but "critters" is an apt explanation of what they are. The audience would have no idea what a "krite" is, because it's a made up word. So the title of the movie is "Critters" because they are disgusting little creatures. The fact that "krite" sounds similar to "critter" is wordplay on the part of the film-makers.

Happy Birthday to Me (1981)
Question: Why does Ann blame Ginny for her mother leaving? She should be angry with her father and Ginny's mother.
Answer: Like all spoiled and mean girls, she blames everyone around her for her problems, when in fact it has nothing to do with her. She wants what she wants, her perfect family with her as the center of attention. The only daughter.

Superman IV: The Quest for Peace (1987)
Question: Why doesn't Lacey die in space? That and why does Nuclear Man even take her into space?
Answer: This is just one of many plot holes in the film. Whether she was at the edge of space or actually beyond the atmosphere, she shouldn't have had enough oxygen to remain conscious.

Hercules (1997)
Question: Since Hades guides souls into the underworld, who takes over after he goes down?
Answer: I don't think Hades guides souls into the underworld - I think he rules over it. For instance, part of the mythology is that Charon ferries souls across the river - I don't think Hades was a part of this process but simply welcomes the souls at the end of their journey.

Terror Train (1980)
Continuity mistake: Kenny must be fast. He's disguised as the female assistant at one point then minutes later he's disguised in the Groucho Marx costume.
Suggested correction: It's not a full costume. Kenny steals the mask and what looks like a small waistcoat (leaving even the hat). It's not implausible that Kenny made a quick change (probably after killing Ed) to formal wear (which isn't what Ed was wearing). After Ed's murder, Kenny-as-Ed appears briefly only from the waist up (showing only the stolen mask and waistcoat), and then doesn't appear again for quite a few minutes, more than enough time to change to the formal wear.

Terror Train (1980)
Stupidity: There is no way any of the characters couldn't tell the magician's assistant isn't a woman but a guy in disguise.
Suggested correction: Honestly, I was fooled when I first watched the movie (Derek MacKinnon is a drag performer in real life). Also, the assistant keeps her distance from the passengers during the train ride. Until the climax, she's only seen onstage, or alone with the magician (who presumably knows). She even walks away when the conductor briefly speaks to the magician. And she disappears for long stretches of the movie, because Kenny is moving around the train, wearing other disguises, to commit the murders.

Character mistake: Being a doctor she leaves Frank the meds he needs to retain his feminity yet she doesn't leave what he needs to stop facial hair. Such things exist.

Forrest Gump (1994)
Question: Unless he's carrying a lot of money how does Forrest get those different clothes while he's running those several years?
Answer: Or he bought them cheap from discount stores or charity shops, or they were given to him. There are lots of possibilities and this is in a movie deliberately loaded with coincidence and spectacle. It's speculation to go into more detail.
Answer: Forrest would not need to carry large amounts of cash with him, which would be dangerous. His business partner, Dan Taylor, could wire or transfer money to a bank wherever Forrest would be that would cover any expenses. Forrest could also be using a credit card, or a better option, a debit card that could have a small balance that Dan would add to as needed. If it was ever stolen, having a small amount on balance would protect Forest.

Groundhog Day (1993)
Question: What is the reason Phil's in this time loop? Just to force him to be nice or be stuck for eternity like that?
Answer: No explanation is given in the film. In an early draft of the script it is revealed a spurned lover cursed him, but that concept was dropped. The writer and directer felt it was more interesting to have the reason left a mystery.

Answer: Jason being afraid of water is not portrayed consistently throughout the series. Continuity between sequels was not a major concern when making this series.
