Cult of Chucky (2017)

Trivia: Foley having a foot-fetish and forcing Nica to wear high-heel shoes for his own satisfaction was a last-minute addition to the script. As scripted, Nica would have spent the last act barefoot. However, the filming location was so cold, actress Fiona Dourif would have gotten frostbite if she was walking barefoot in the snow. The fetish/shoe angle was added purely to protect her feet. (Foley kissing her feet was an idea a crew member had, which director Don Mancini found too twisted to resist.)

Chucky (2021)

Death by Misadventure - S1-E1

Trivia: During the first major scene at the yard-sale after the cold open, a woman in a red coat can briefly be seen wandering around in the background, but her face is never seen. This is actually a subtle easter-egg. The woman is meant to be Tiffany, with the implication that she had something to do with planting Chucky at the yard sale.

Trivia: Tom Hanks was reportedly quite frightened when the film came out, as he feared it would eventually lead to real actors being put out of work. Ironically enough, he later starred in a similarly "photorealistic" animated film with "The Polar Express".

Trivia: Reportedly, Matt Dillon was considered for the lead part but left the project early in production after seeing test footage, fearing that Square was trying to "replace" human actors.

Trivia: Early in production, Ryan Whitaker was meant to have a robotic arm as a nod to the character Barrett Wallace from the video game "Final Fantasy VII", who has a gun for an arm, but this idea was dropped.

Trivia: The first major animated feature film that attempted to create "photorealistic" characters. The studio had the intention of reusing the character models in different films as "digital actors," where they could "play" different parts like a real actor. However, the film underperformed at the box office and this idea was quietly dropped.

The Elephant Man (1980)

Trivia: The only David Lynch project that Jack Nance did not participate in before his death in 1996. (While Nance did not appear in the theatrical cut of "Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me," he did film scenes that were deleted for pacing, but later released on home video.)

The Elephant Man (1980)

Trivia: When David Lynch was about to be hired to direct the film, he was informed that Mel Brooks was watching his first film, "Eraserhead," to get an idea of his style. Lynch immediately was crestfallen, as he was sure he'd lose the job when Brooks saw how dark and bizarre that film was. To the contrary, Brooks burst into the room the instant "Eraserhead" was finished, shook Lynch's hand and told him that he loved it and that he was excited for Lynch to direct "The Elephant Man."

The Elephant Man (1980)

Trivia: Anthony Hopkins once reportedly tried to get David Lynch fired, as he felt Lynch didn't understand how to work on a film with the scale and budget of "The Elephant Man," and wasn't professional enough on set, due to his only prior experience being on indie films. Producer Mel Brooks stood up for Lynch and kept him on the project. Regardless of tensions on-set, the film ended up becoming a massive hit and was nominated for numerous awards, including receiving 8 Academy Award nominations.

Hush (2016)

Trivia: Roughly 75% of the movie has no spoken dialogue whatsoever due to the main character being a deaf-mute, with the only occasional spoken dialogue coming from other characters.

Hush (2016)

Trivia: The Netflix series "Midnight Mass" is based on the book Maddie wrote in this film, making it an odd sort-of spin-off.

Hush (2016)

Trivia: The movie was filmed in secret and revealed in 2015, when it was shopped around to distributors. Netflix acquired the movie and released it as a Netflix-exclusive title in 2016. However, it was removed from the service in 2023 once the initial licensing deal expired. Director Mike Flanagan has stated his intention to try and shop the film around for a physical media release on DVD/Blu-Ray in the near future.

Trivia: With their cameo appearances, Lin Shaye, Angus Sampson, and Leigh Whannell are the only actors to appear in all five "Insidious" movies. (Whannell also wrote or co-wrote all five films, including receiving a "story by" credit for this entry.)

Cop Out (2010)

Trivia: The original title was "A Couple of Dicks." (As "dick" was not only an old-time nickname for detectives, but is also obviously a reference to the male reproductive organ and is a common insult.) However, the studio got cold feet and worried the title would get them in trouble, so they decided to change the name to "A Couple of Cops." Director Kevin Smith told them that the new title was a "total cop out." The comment inspired Smith and the studio, who realised "Cop Out" would be a good title.

Trivia: During filming, Sarah Michelle Gellar became very close with Michael Gershman, the lead cinematographer of the first five seasons, who became a father figure to her (she was estranged from her real father). They became so close that when Gellar got married in 2002, she asked Gershman to dance with her during the father-daughter dance. When Gershman passed away in 2018, Gellar posted a heartfelt tribute to him on her social media.

Scream VI (2023)

Trivia: A sequel went into production after this film came out, with stars Melissa Barrera and Jenna Ortega returning, and Christopher Landon as director. However, in late 2023, all three left the project. Barrera was fired for pro-Palestine social media posts, which the studio claimed were antisemitic despite her stating they were not intended to be. Ortega then left over a pay dispute. Finally, Landon dropped out, calling the situation a "nightmare." (Presumably due to how actresses were treated.)

Trivia: Zack Snyder originally intended for the movie to be an R-rated spin-off "Star Wars", but Lucasfilm wasn't interested in his ideas. It was eventually retooled into a stand-alone work.

Daredevil (2003)

Trivia: Director Mark Steven Johnson admitted in a 2023 interview celebrating the film's 20th anniversary that his one big regret was not telling a smaller story. In retrospect, he feels that putting a Daredevil origin story, an Elektra story, court/law-themed story (in the Director's Cut) and a Kingpin story was a little too much for one movie, and some of the material should have been saved for a potential sequel. But as a Daredevil fan, he wanted to put in everything he loved about the comic.

Daredevil (2003)

Trivia: While the logo was introduced a year prior in 2002's "Spider-Man", this is the first film in which the Marvel "flipping pages" logo actually had the flipping pages sound effect added. To this day, 20 years later, that logo and sound effect are still sometimes used in non-MCU Marvel films.

Daredevil (2003)

Trivia: Despite already being very tall at 6'5", Michael Clarke Duncan was often standing on boxes or wearing lift shoes in many of his scenes to add several more inches and make him look almost inhumanly massive. Specific camera angles were also used to make him look larger.
