Trivia: While Jules and Travis discuss his graduation and Jules' popularity in school, Travis looks through his mom's yearbook and comments that there's a picture of Jules "dancing onstage with Bruce Springsteen." Courteney Cox, who plays Jules, appears in Bruce Springsteen's 'Dancing in the Dark' music video from 1984, as the girl in the audience who's pulled onstage by Springsteen to dance with him, towards the end of the video. This was Courtney's first acting job.

Trivia: Actor Danny Pudi has a cameo in one scene, where he's seen sitting in the background watching the characters before dramatically running away. It might have seemed random and out of nowhere, but it's actually a pay-off to a joke set up in the show "Community," on which Pudi co-stars. In an episode of that series, Pudi's character Abed mentions that he appeared as a background extra on "Cougar Town," but got nervous during a take and soiled his pants, explaining why he suddenly runs away.
Trivia: When Jules and Grayson take Jules' dad to the doctor, they go to the Gulfhaven Plaza Medical Professional Offices. There are several doctors' names listed on the sign. Among them are doctors named Dorian, Reid, and Turk. Cougar Town creator Bill Lawrence's previous show, Scrubs, featured main characters Dr. John "JD" Dorian, Dr. Elliot Reid, and Dr. Christopher Turk, all doctors working at Sacred Heart Hospital. They all worked for the Chief of Medicine Dr. Bob Kelso, played by Ken Jenkins. Jenkins plays Jules' dad, Chick, on Cougar Town.
Trivia: Much of the episode takes place in a coffee shop called Coffee Bucks. Coffee Bucks was also the coffee shop in Sacred Heart Hospital on Scrubs. Bill Lawrence, the creator of Cougar Town also created Scrubs.
