Star Wars (1977)

Corrected entry: When Luke and his uncle are buying the droids from the Jawas, the uncle is relatively clean shaven. Later at dinner, he is suddenly sporting a very noticeable beard and mustache.

Correction: Totally incorrect. He may appear more clean shaven in the harsh light of the sun, but if you take careful note in close-ups, for example, when he tells C3PO that he needs a droid that understands the binary language of moisture vaporators he is sporting the same beard and mustache that he has at dinner.

Star Wars (1977)

Corrected entry: After Owen buys C-3PO from the Jawas, Luke says, "All Right. Come on," and R2-D2 turns his head/dome. In the next shot, he repeats this movement. (00:17:45)

Correction: This is not true, it is a continuation of the same movement from a different camera angle.

Zoolander (2001)

Corrected entry: The gas pumps wouldn't explode from one cigarette. At most the gas would extinguish the cigarette, there would be no big explosion like appeared in this movie because the mixture is too rich to catch fire.

Correction: According to Physlink.com and their Ask the Experts Section, a lit cigarette can indeed ignite gasoline and cause an explosion as detailed in this article. While the circumstances are not identical it certainly supports the general theory that it can indeed happen. Physlink Example.

Full House (1987)

Just One of the Guys - S1-E18

Corrected entry: When Michelle starts crying, Steve offers to go change her or whatever so they " could watch the game". But Joey had taped the game and Jesse had just taken it out of the VCR so they can't watch the game anymore because the tape is out of the VCR.

Correction: the video cassette was just put back in!

OneHappyHusky

Correction: There are two possibilities for this. The first and most likely is that Melissa is referring to the fact that Snowflake herself is considered rare for her talents, abilities, markings, age or any number of personal reasons. The second is that it is a common misconception that Bottlenose Dolphins are so commonplace, just because we see them in zoos and water shows. The Marine Conservation Association has declared them Vulnerable, just a step from Endangered and they state there has been no known accurate census of their numbers, which have dwindled due to Tuna fishing practices killing dolphins world wide.

Corrected entry: In the scene where John and Jane are in her car, after John has accidentally shot at her, Jane bails out and leaves John in the backseat. The car then runs over some trees and goes in the air, at this time John is seen and then completely disappears.

Correction: Actually, because the scene takes place in the dark and at a distance it can be deceptive. What happens is that John drops to the seat to prepare for the impact of the impending crash.

Twister (1996)

Corrected entry: In many scenes, the red dodge truck doesn't have an antenna, but yet they are using the radio.

Correction: The Dodge truck has a number of after market upgrades to make it function better in storms; a smaller and stronger antenna would make sense as it would be less likely to be damaged by the high wind conditions it would be subjected to. These are commonly as small as one inch or can be installed as a wire on the inside of the rear window of a truck, making it essentially invisible to a movie viewer.

Days of Our Lives (1965)

Show generally

Corrected entry: In recent episodes (late 2005), Marlena is having memory flashes of her alleged life of dating and getting married to Alex North, but the footage they're using for these flashes is actually 20-year-old footage of Marlena's life with Roman Brady. Wayne Northrop, who now plays Alex North, actually played Roman Brady from 1981-1984, then again from 1991-1994, while Josh Taylor, the current Roman Brady, played a character named Chris Kositchek back then, taking over the role of Roman Brady in 1997. Now, they're using this footage of Wayne Northrop playing Roman Brady, but claiming it's Alex North. even though Alex North never existed as a character in the show's history until recently.

Correction: It is too early in this storyline to call this a plot hole, it is part of the plot. In soap operas (especially DAYS, think the ever changing identity of Roman Number Two now known as John Black) story lines change the back stories and Ken Corday was on TV recently hinting that Alex is really the REAL Roman and the current Roman is really Chris, which would make Marlena's memories REAL.

Day 4: 8:00 P.M.-9:00 P.M. - S4-E14

Corrected entry: From the time Michelle calls Chloe till Chloe shows up at CTU with changed clothes and fresh make-up only seven minutes pass on the show. That wouldn't be possible even if she lived next door.

Correction: Actually, many women can change clothes and do make-up in remarkably fast time, especially at times of great crisis, in which this would apply. It was previously established that Chloe does live close and is a highly dedicated and loyal employee making this is indeed possible.

Nip/Tuck (2003)

Christian Troy - S2-E2

Corrected entry: Dr. Troy disrobes so that a dermatologist can examine him for moles. He said he often tans in the nude. Later on we see his bottom end and it is quite pale. Doesn't match the tan on the rest of his body.

Maria Santos

Correction: "Often" doesn't mean anything close to "always" and "tans" doesn't always take into consideration basic outdoor activities in which one obtains a tan, especially in Miami. His body is so tan in comparison to his pale bottom that "often" may not have been enough to offset the difference. Also, depending on lighting, say in a doctor's office, shower or poorly lit bedroom, where we most often get to see said bottom, this difference may be exaggerated.

$35K O.B.O. - S1-E18

Corrected entry: When Nick and Greg are in the lab Greg is looking at his date's epithelials through the microscope. Nick wants him to look at some hairs so Greg puts them under the microscope without taking out the epithelials.

Correction: The entire scene is shot from shoulders up, so we can't see what Greg is doing other than he is clearly aware that Nick is prepping the slide with the hair. So it is reasonable to assume that one of the many movements we see in Greg's arms is his removing the epithelial slide in anticipation of Nick's request to view the hairs. At any rate, he obviously places the hair slide into a completely empty microscope.

OneHappyHusky

Correction: While I know this simply comes down to a matter of opinion, I disagree. As a nanny and a mother, I think this is very "life like" (considering it depicts a dead child) infant doll, especially considering the harsh light the face is under. They are not trying to hide anything.

Face Lift - S1-E17

Corrected entry: After the store clerks enter their pottery store and find the store robbed and a dead body, it shows the Las Vegas Police and the CSI team drive into the front of the building in patrol cars and Suburbans. On one Suburban, you can see the police lights on the right passenger side strapped on to the visor, on the other side you can see the rear-view mirror is directly above the steering mirror. Last time I checked, rear-view mirrors are NEVER above the steering wheel.

Correction: The key here is the phrase "ON THE OTHER SIDE". On the front view, as the vehicle passes coming towards the camera the mirror is properly placed. "On the other side" after vehicle passes the camera and the view is now back through the drivers window the CAMERA ANGLE makes is appear to be over the steering wheel, when in fact it is still properly placed in the middle where it belongs.

OneHappyHusky

Corrected entry: During the scene after Christine removes the mask from the Phantom for the first time, he is not wearing gloves as he rips the cover off the mirror; seconds later, he knocks over a candle, and is wearing a black glove on his left hand; yet when he starts to sing "Stranger than you dreamt it" a few seconds later, the glove is gone again. (00:45:30)

Correction: This is incorrect. The Phantom is gloveless throughout the entire scene. If one looks very closely, what is being mistaken as the glove is the Phantom's cuff flying up as he strikes the candle down, but a second later his fingers are visible beneath the cuff once again.

ER (1994)

The Letter - S8-E20

Corrected entry: In one of the last scenes, Dr. Lewis is shown leaving the ER, and putting a tack in the bottom of each page of "The Letter." However, at the very end of the episode, "The Letter" is shown blowing in the breeze, without any tacks holding the bottom of the pages down.

Correction: To begin with it was the night before when Dr. Lewis only tacked down two of the three pages, with just ONE pin each. Also, the space below was mostly empty except for a yellow and blue paper. Later the following afternoon, when we see three pages blowing, there is at least one additional posting and a fan is now directly blowing on the bulliten board. People stealing extra tacks for additional postings elsewhere on a bulliten board and loose pins being blown off happen all the time and can easily account for what happened over this long period of time.

King Arthur (2004)

Correction: I could not see it going frame by frame on my 32" TV.

OneHappyHusky

Corrected entry: When Lara has activated the orb and learned The Cradle of Life was in Africa, she tells Bryce to contact Sosa and have him meet her "with her Jeep at 8:00 north of his village". As soon as they break off contact, Reiss and his men pounce on Bryce....no time at all to contact a man in Africa.

Alan Rice

Correction: Obviously, because Bryce had to follow Lara and Sosa he had the call made later, off camera.

OneHappyHusky

Corrected entry: We are told by Terry that the Shay Ling's home is the most remote mountain range in China. However, we later see the orb being loaded onto a truck at this 'remote' hideout. Surely there are more remote places in China which don't have road links.

Correction: Of course they need roads, especially when their business is in illegal trading and arms selling. How do you suppose they store and move their merchandise? They are, just as Terry said earlier in the movie, well watched and impossible to approach except as a prisoner.

OneHappyHusky

Corrected entry: In the bus when Del suggests everyone sing the theme to "The Flintstones" the audio sounds as if everyone (or at least many of the people) in the bus sings along. But immediately thereafter, a brief shot of the people in the bus (actually, just the people behind Del and Neal) shows everyone sitting quietly, not singing, and not even looking towards Del who is singing.

Correction: True, but that does not change the fact that there remains seventeen passengers sitting in front of them (I counted them from the previous shot when they all turned and looked as Neil started to sing "Three Coins in a Fountain") who all could have been singing, thus making the audio of the scene correct after all.

M*A*S*H (1972)

Show generally

Corrected entry: Wouldn't Col. Flagg arouse suspicion to his superiors by regularly visiting an American medical unit? He wouldn't have been given orders on every occasion to check it out, and both Blake and Potter would likely have complained about his attitude towards their doctors (especially Hawkeye).

Andy Benham

Correction: Because Flagg was supposed to be an intelligence officer and only appeared in 6 episodes between 1974-1979 it is likely his visits may not have gained much attention from superiors and he would probably often work unsupervised and somewhat undirected. As for Blake and Potter, as well as the rest of the MASH unit, Flagg was largely considered a joke and hardly worth the effort to seriously bother over.
