Corrected entry: In the life pod scene, GO-4 puts the plant in the middle of the pod. Just before this Wall-E and Eve peer around to see it doing so. If you look very quickly at Eve's back when the camera pans around, you can see two different textures flick on and off. This must be an animation error.
Corrected entry: All Audi's are either front wheel drive or all wheel drive (as is the case with Frank's car). It is therefore, impossible to spin the rear wheels as Frank did to achieve the leap from the bridge.
Correction: It is possible to spin rear wheels on an all wheel drive car. I have an all wheel drive car which has 55% rear bias, and 45% front drive. Frank's car has more horsepower than mine, so shouldn't have a problem spinning the rear wheels.
Corrected entry: The men have clean facial hair lines. This could not have happened as they didn't have a tool that could shave as close as a razor.
Correction: Tribes in Africa and in the Amazonian Forest have been using alternative methods for shaving hair in traditional hairdos, including hairlines (also depicted in the movie), using things such as sharpened sea shells, bones, etc.
Corrected entry: In the scene where Mary Embrey goes to Hancock's trailer to tell him about their past, Hancock says something to the effect of "sisters don't kiss their brothers the way you kissed me in the kitchen last night." In fact, the night before, they never kiss, they just come real close to kissing before she throws him through the wall.
Corrected entry: The scenes shot in Scotland are supposed to take place on the island of Skye - which is off the west coast of Scotland. However, when the bridesmaids take the ferry across to the island, the ferry reads 'Fraserborough' - a town located along the east coast of the mainland, several hundred miles away.
Correction: The mention of Fraserburgh just states where the boat is registered, not necessarily where it sails from. In the harbour near me there are ships with Manilla and Nassau on the back of them, but they don't sail there.
Corrected entry: At the end of the movie, when the two main charaters were in the hotel standing in front of a mirror, he had glasses on - but in the mirror, he did not.
Correction: It does look that way, but take a closer look, you can just barely make out the frames. The reason they are harder to see is because they are out of focus, unlike the ones in front of the mirror.
Corrected entry: Mary Boleyn was single when she had her affair with Henry VIII, then was quickly "married off" by Henry to another man when his attention turned towards Anne. Mary's son was born during a time frame that suggests that either of the two men could have been the father. However, most historians believe that if Henry truly believed that the boy was his, he would have made some sort of provision for allowing the child to succeed to the throne if necessary, just as he did with his son by mistress Bessie Blount.
Correction: This is not true. The movie is based on the book by Philippa Gregory, which states that Mary was married with William Carey when she was 12, whereas she started her affair with Henry at 14 years old. She then moved out of the house she shared with William, to live close to the Queen in the Palace and never again slept with her husband until her affair with Henry was done. Therefore, both her children were Henry's.
Corrected entry: When the ghost touches Ben's neck while he is in the darkroom, the arm shown is clad in dark wool identical to his wife's sweater. The phone rings and when he answers it, it's his wife, leading Ben to realize something is wrong. When he goes back into the darkroom, he is confronted by the ghost, which is not wearing dark clothing, but rather the pale dress she is seen in throughout the film.
Correction: This is not a mistake, She is a ghost and she can take on any form. This was done so that the audience would think that the ghost was his wife and then be totally creeped out to find that his wife was not even there.
Corrected entry: When the Furious Five are paralyzed by Tai Lung, Tigress is frozen with her eyes open. When Shifu revives her, her eyes are closed.
Corrected entry: Walt says he worked at the factory where his Gran Torino was built, and in fact installed the steering column on it. The Gran Torino factory was in Ohio, at least two hours from Detroit, and Walt had been a long time resident of the Detroit neighborhood he lives in, as he stated he had seen its demise and an influx of immigrants. With other Ford factories being much closer, it's not likely he would commute that far. There's a correction stating that the Torino was built in more than one factory, but that's wrong. The two door Gran Torino in 1972 was only built in Lorain, OH, much like the Neon was only built in Belvidere, IL, Corvettes are built only in Bowling Green, KY, and Camaros, for the last 2 generations were built in Canada. Not all Ford factories are equipped or tooled to make all models. It's much more likely Walt would have built his pickup truck at a Detroit factory over the Torino.
Correction: Let's get this correct, once and for all. The Gran Torino was assembled in many plants, including DEARBORN, MI - about 20 miles from Detroit, see here: http://grantorinosport.org/71torino06.htm. There is NO factual error re: this aspect of the movie. And let's don't forget, Clint Eastwood is a fine filmmaker, and because this is such a significant fact to consider - placing his protagonist in a location where he's lived his entire life and where his assembling of his very own 1971 Gran Torino is one of the most important aspects of the entire movie - you can be sure he got it right.
Corrected entry: When Lawrence is leaving his phone number on Janet's answering machine, he give her the area code, 402, which is for Omaha, Nebraska instead of Pittsburgh, PA.
Correction: Lawrence actually says "412", which is the correct area code for the Pittsburgh area.
Corrected entry: In the scene where Scully visits Father Joe to ask him why he told her not to give up, she's wearing two different pairs of earrings.
Correction: Just watched this scene, looking for different earrings. They are the same during the whole scene; a pair of pearl earrings on a ring, which sometimes dangle, sometimes are tight against her earlobes. They are definitely the same pair, though.
Corrected entry: The candles never burn down the entire movie. They stay the same height, and never have any wax running down them as if they were just lit.
Correction: No, that's wrong. There is definite wax running down the candles, they do get shorter, and change shape at the tips from the flame. They don't burn down that quickly, and the events during the night take place quickly enough that the candles wouldn't be down to stubs or gutter out.
Corrected entry: In the electricity trap, after a brief close up, it snaps to a view of the whole room, you can see the boom mic lifting up and actually see outside of the set.
Correction: I watched this scene several times looking for the boom mic, and I've never seen it. And I can guarantee you never see outside of the set- the flashing of the electricity and sparks indicates there are walls and a ceiling, making it impossible to see outside.
Corrected entry: When the Hulk and the girl fall asleep in the cave after a night of hard rain it appears as if the Hulk is extremely dirty. The next morning the Hulk awakes as Bruce and he has no dirt on his body at all, even though he's in a dirty cave. Immediately after that he's sitting waiting for his girl to get to the hotel and his feet and body are extremely dirty. Especially look at his feet in the cave.
Correction: He is infact in the rain, dirt will not stay on anyone or thing in the rain. When he reverts back we only see the part of his body that is not directly on the dirt. It then cuts to the scene at the motel, there would be time between these scenes where they would have to walk to the motel, which explains the dirt on his feet. We do not see his body cause he is covered up.
Corrected entry: Chase introduces the whole crew to Andie with the tapdancer in the middle of each shot. When he introduces Monster, you see that he is taking a step back to let his double get back in. In the next shot, we see a person (probably director of the play) coming out from nowhere and telling Monster to come back. This person is also the director of the movie, Jon M. Chu. (00:40:30)
Correction: That's not a mistake. He is making a cameo appearance.
Corrected entry: When Wesley's bullet goes through his friend's Red Bull towards the end, the friend and his new girlfriend are both looking at the can in horror before the bullet hits it. It's harder to tell because the scene is shot backwards, but they are reacting to something that hasn't happened yet.
Correction: At first I thought that too, but his friend actually has that look of horror on his face because Wesley's ex-girlfriend won't stop talking.
Corrected entry: When Bigg Bunny goes to take off from the water, he pushes the throttles fully in. A few shots later, he pushes the throttles fully in again.
Correction: The plane had to slow down to turn around before finally taking off. It is when he is finally taking off when he pushes the throttle in the second time.
Corrected entry: When The Hourglass attacks Rick's house, Jill disappears.
Correction: Jill does not disappear. She falls down. Due to the angle it was filmed, the top of the table appears to be covering her.
Corrected entry: Despite Claire's and Michael's very audible screams, none of the other guests on the floor check to see what is going on or alert security.
Correction: People will often not interfere because of apathy, not wanting to get involved, or because they might think someone else has already handled the situation. It's very seldom people will check to see what's going on in reality.
Correction: Actually, no it mustn't. A viewing screen was reflected in her back, and when the screen changed images, it appeared to flick a texture on and off on EVE's back.
