Valkyrie picture

Corrected entry: In the scene where Col. Stauffenburg is handing the revised Valkyrie papers to Adolf Hitler, the hand holding the papers has all 5 fingers. At the beginning of the movie, this hand has 2 of the fingers completely blown off.

Correction: The picture that has been posted with a different entry to this site disproves this; the hand is shown to have only three fingers.

The Bank Job picture

Corrected entry: They spend the weekend tunneling, but are relatively pristine when they emerge into the vault. No way.

Correction: They did not go straight into the vault, they waited until the air was clear giving them enough time to change clothes.

Repo! The Genetic Opera picture

Corrected entry: When Mag rips her own eyes out at the end of the movie, for the first few shots, the eyes are skewered on her "finger armors", but then they suddenly disappear between cuts and are never seen again. The cut is instant, so there is no time for her to have dropped them.

Correction: You can actually see them slip off a split second before the cut.

One Missed Call picture

Corrected entry: When they show Ellie dying on the nanny cam, her inhaler doesn't work, but when Detective Andrews picks it up and presses it after Ellie had already died, it works just fine.

Correction: It doesn't work. When he presses on it,it still fails to release the medication, but it still makes the noise caused by the compressed air.

Mirrors picture

Corrected entry: In the scene after the mirror-person rips the sister's jaw apart in the bathtub, the detective in the following scene drains the water from the tub by removing the drain plug. No detective would have done this, as there could be evidence of the cause of death and the murderer (if any), and they would drain the tub with buckets and sift through them to preserve anything they find. (00:40:00 - 00:46:00)

Correction: This was a character choice: admittedly a bad one. The detective was a close friend of the victim, and likely responded more out of shock, like someone wanting to cover the body of a friend or relative who'd just died horribly.

Quarantine picture

Corrected entry: There appears to be some ambiguity as far as who the afflicted person in the attic was. The assumption is that this individual may have been the "man from Boston", and if so, it presents the problem of a missing character in the film. In the movie, there is mention of a sick old man who resides with the foreign (non-English speaking) couple, however, no attempt is made to rescue this man, nor does he appear in the movie.

Correction: How is that a mistake? Not every occupant in the apartment building needs to be accounted for.

Bolt picture

Corrected entry: When Bolt and Mittens are about to stow away in the U-Haul Truck, the thinner guy loads up the truck and locks the back door. Before the door is closed, you can hear the truck's engine start. When the camera changes, the thin guy is in the driver's seat. The thin guy had the keys all along. So how did the truck start if he wasn't even in the driver's seat yet?

Skyline97

Correction: There is a significant amount of time where the thin guy could have given the keys to the chubby one.

Definitely, Maybe picture

Corrected entry: William and April are debating which cigarettes are better to smoke, American Eagles or Marlboro Reds. They go outside to see which cigarette will last longer if they smoke them at the same time with the same drag length. In the scene, William buys a pack of Marlboro Reds. The filters on those are a tan/brownish color. When he is outside with April smoking, the color of the filter on his cigarette is white, which is the filter color of a Marlboro Light.

Correction: This is incorrect because in the movie he didn't buy Marlboro Reds, he bought "Marlee" Reds, which could have any color filter as they do not actually exist.

Journey to the Center of the Earth picture

Corrected entry: If every time there is a series of seizures in the earth, the temperature rises to 120F (enough for the oceans to evaporate), how have the birds and dinosaurs survived? The birds I'll consent may have flown to a cooler area, but T-Rexes are big cold-blooded animals that would have dropped dead long before the humans dehydrated.

Correction: Adaptation. This whole underground world is filled with unique species who have adapted to survive in their environment. It's not explained *how* they survive, it's only shown that they do. It's science fiction, after all.

Step Brothers picture

Corrected entry: In the Christmas scene, Brennan's Mother tells him that Nancy called and said that she was not his girlfriend, only his therapist. Later at the Catalina party, he calls her Denise.

Correction: Actually, his mother calls her Denise. Nancy is Brennan's mother's name.

Australia picture

Corrected entry: During the attack on Darwin, Army signs display "19th Infantry Battalion". The 19th is a World War 1 unit. In the Second World War, the Second Australian Imperial Force was raised and the 2nd 19th Infantry Battalion AIF was formed. The correct citation is 2/19 Infantry Battalion. Also, the bombing of Darwin occurred on February 19, 1942. The 2/19 Inf Bn AIF was captured in Singapore on 15 February 1942.

Correction: The 19th infantry Battalion was in fact a Militia Battalion that was deployed to Darwin in late 41. They were redeployed to PNG in Sep 42 so were present during the Feb 42 airborne attack on Darwin. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/19th_Battalion_(Australia)

The Love Guru picture

Corrected entry: Darren's mom sings the national anthem at the final game of the Stanley Cup. It's played at the Maple Leaf's home in Toronto, so she wouldn't be singing "The Star Spangled Banner." She should have sung "Oh Canada."

Correction: If they're playing an American team, both national anthems are sung. Filmmakers may have used time compression to speed things along, instead of having us listen to both, or portions of both, national anthems. Mike Myers, being both a Canadian, and a huge hockey fan, would know this.

Marley & Me picture

Corrected entry: Towards the beginning of the movie when John drops off his wife, the scene pans upward revealing a sign saying "Santa Barbara Airlines". That airline does not leave from South Florida, where they are suppose to be.

lilslidder918

Correction: This is no mistake, Santa Barbara Airlines flights out of Miami, you can check it by yourself at www.sbairlines.com and YES, that's in fact the Miami International Airport, I can confirmed it as I'm from Miami.

Correction: Actually it's a different scene that they show in the movie she actually spat it out then she tried it again.

The House Bunny picture

Corrected entry: During the Aztec party Natalie is "sacrificed" and as she descends her hair is perfectly dry. After going down the slide she pops out and her hair is dripping wet. Cut to crowd cheering, then cut back to have Colby help her out and her hair is dry again. (00:58:20 - 00:58:55)

hal.hockersmith

Correction: Only the bottom of her hair gets wet. You can see that the top is still curled when she's cheering in the pool. The ends are still wet when Colby helps her out of the pool.

Hellboy II: The Golden Army picture

Corrected entry: When the prince's nose bleeds, we see that the Princess's nose bleeds as well to show their link. Then a second later, both of their faces are blood free.

Correction: We see the prince wiping the blood away. It's entirely likely that the princess did the same (twins have a knack for doing things at the same time).

Body of Lies picture

Corrected entry: When the predator drone follows the caravan of cars, the sand storm they cause blocks the view of the vehicles. In reality the drone's camera would switch to infra red and the sandstorm would be pointless.

Correction: Using infrared on a red-hot desert with hot air isn't such a bright idea. Do you really think they could see through the red-hot sand cloud the terrorist made?

Changeling picture

Corrected entry: Towards the end of the movie, Gordon Northcott is referred to as a "serial killer." This term was not coined and put into usage until the 1970's. From Wikipedia, it's "commonly attributed to former FBI Special Agent Robert Ressler in the 1970s. Serial killer entered the popular vernacular largely in part to the widely publicized crimes of Ted Bundy and David Berkowitz in the middle years of that decade."

Correction: The term "serial killer" may only have entered the common vernacular after its usage by Ressler in the 1970's, but that does not mean that it could not have existed prior to that. "Serial" is a common word often used to refer to an individual who performs an action repeatedly and "killer" is obviously an age-old and popular descriptive term. While Ressler popularised the phrase, it is entirely unreasonable to suggest that nobody could possibly have put those two common words together to describe a multiple murderer before he did.

The Hurt Locker picture

Corrected entry: In the sniper scene in the desert, the shelter the insurgents are using was built by mud or brick cinder blocks. Since the Barrett is actually an anti-materiel sniper rifle, i.e., to be used against vehicles that are armored, .50-caliber armor-piercing bullets from a Barrett M107 would have cut through those blocks like a white-hot knife through butter. The Barrett rifle has absolutely devastating power, and if Sgt. Sanborn had enough .50-cal. bullets he could have collapsed the small building on its foundation.

Correction: But he didn't, so he couldn't.

The Day the Earth Stood Still picture

Corrected entry: Klaatu comes from a planet near a distant star. His "spaceship" travels at 3x10^7ms-1, which is 1/1000th the speed of light. At that speed, it would take over 4,000 years to reach even the closest star. Why did Klaatu have to leave? In 2000 B.C we were hardly killing the planet on a significant scale.

Correction: 3x10^7ms-1 is 1/10 the speed of light, not 1/1000. Assuming constant velocity it would take appropriately 43 years to reach Earth from Proxima Centauri, with several other stars within 100 years. It's also possible, and likely, that Klaatu had been traveling much faster for most of the voyage and slowed down upon entering the solar system. The object wasn't noticed until it reached Jupiter.
