Corrected entry: In the scene when Wesley slaps an office employee with a keyboard, seven letters pop off the keyboard spelling "FUCK YOU". This is impossible as there is only one "U" on a keyboard and said phrase requires two "U"s.
Corrected entry: When Wesley confronts Pekwarsky at the monastery he pulls back the hammer of his pistol. On a closer shot, with the gun to Pekwarsky's head, he uses the trigger to slowly pull back the hammer. (01:11:20)
Correction: It's a double action trigger, which can be cocked using your thumb, or by squeezing the trigger. No mistake there. While he was chasing Pekwarsky, he would have let the hammer return to rest to keep it from going off accidentally while he was running.
Corrected entry: Just after Wesley's first training with the Butcher, he's in the healing room. His left hand had been punctured by the knife, so it makes absolutely zero sense that his hand is not submerged along with the rest of his body.
Correction: The liquid in the healing room is not explained, nor does it need to be. As a result, the audience doesn't know what properties are involved with healing in the healing room. It's possible that just breathing vapors, or osmosis through skin while in the room can have a healing effect.
Corrected entry: Wesley uses Fox's Corvette to flip his Mustang over the limo to kill the "cigar guy". She is headed in the opposite direction as Wesley and is on the same side of the limo as Wesley to create the flip. As Wesley lands from the flip on the other side of the limo, he bumps into Fox's Corvette that somehow ended up on that opposite side and is now going in the same direction as the Corvette.
Correction: Just as the car lands you see the corvette making a U-turn so now all 3 cars are going in the same direction.
Corrected entry: When Wesley checks his bank account balance after his father's money has been transferred to it, the ATM screen shows the balance of $3,647,035.59, and then Wesley withdraws a hefty pile of $20 notes (looks like at least $200). But when he is checking his balance again from his office computer afterwards, the screen shows exactly the same amount as before the withdrawal: $3,647,035.59. (00:26:20)
Correction: Some ATMs won't process withdrawal information immediately. The balance could well not be updated until the following day.
Corrected entry: Early in the movie, Wesley is talking about his father leaving when Wesley was only 7 days old. Part of his monologue was what his father must have said when his father left. "Did I just father the most insignificant a-hole of the 21st century?" Wesley Gibson is at least in his 20s. The movie came out in 2008. As a 7 day old, we would be the "most insignificant a-hole" of the 20th century, not the 21st.
Corrected entry: When Fox is giving CPR to the Russian, the amount of blood on her face keeps changing in different shots, we go from lots of blood on her face, to only around her mouth, and she didn't have time to wipe it off.
Correction: The amount of blood stays the same through the scene, the only thing that changes is the perspective we see Fox's face.
Corrected entry: When Mister X steps into the elevator to get a better sprint to the window, he sits down as if he's in a starting-block. This would provide him with a more powerful and faster sprint. But the moment he makes the first step to run, he lands on his heel. This takes away all the tension and speed he got from starting in that position, because by landing on his heel he blocks himself. Besides, if he was able to land on his heel, that would mean he was standing up straight after he started. But if you really want the best out of your starting position you stay low for as long as possible, and that would make it very difficult to land on your heel; considering you're leaning forward in the starting block position and staying low while you run. Most people automatically run on the palms of their feet while sprinting, which is the proper way. (00:04:00)
Correction: Most people are not capable of running so fast that they can leap the gap between skyscrapers; most people cannot bend bullets round corners. His running style doesn't have to be perfect, it just has to do the job, which, as we see, it does. Anything else is merely an opinion, which rarely amounts to a valid mistake.
Corrected entry: For Wesley's second kill, he didn't have to go through the trouble of flipping his car over the limo to get a shot. He could just simply make a curved bullet shot to make the bullet go through the sunroof and hit his target. Guess there's no wow factor in seeing one curved bullet kill after another.
Correction: We don't know what limitations lie on the bullet curving. It may well be that a shot like that, requiring the bullet to curve upwards, then make a very sharp turn downwards to go through the sunroof straight downwards, is not possible - certainly no shot seen in the film is that complex. Choosing to flip the car over the top to get a direct line-of-sight gives Wesley a simple shot. Not unreasonable that he would choose that.
Corrected entry: After cursing out his boss, Wesley leaves the building and sees several newspaper boxes with him and Fox in the store shootout as the cover story. They are wanted and it shows artist sketches and a still shot from a security camera (like help is needed from the public to identify them). Since he just had his prescription filled and does so often, the pharmacist would have his full name.
Correction: Yes, he would. But the pharmacist would have to recognize the wanted man as Wesley and then choose to turn him in. Otherwise the police would have no way of knowing that Wesley uses that particular pharmacy, or which of all the patients the pharmacist serves is the man they are looking for.
Corrected entry: When Wesley translates the piece of cloth it says 'Sloan', whereas every other name is the person's real name with the codename written above it.
Corrected entry: Wesley comments on how he needs an ergo-keyboard as a result of his repetitive stress syndrome, but when he finally goes off in his office, he smashes his best friend, Barry, in the face with a standard, flat keyboard (which he then hands off to a guy entering the building).
Correction: Incorrect. It's an ergonomic keyboard.
Corrected entry: During the shootout in the grocery store, Fox uses an attachment called Corner-Shot to aim around corners without exposing the body. She holds it with one hand and flicks her wrist to angle it the other way. The error is that it can't be done without the use of both hands. One hand by the trigger and the other hand unlocks the swivel to change the angle.
Correction: This is only true of the real-life version of the gun, but in the movie the Fraternity use very specialized, custom-made guns and equipment. The unlocking switch could be on the gun handle, or a simple switch she could flick while attaching the Corner-Shot to allow the swivel to stay unlocked.
Corrected entry: In the scene where Fox and Wesley are train-surfing and Wesley runs across the bridge, while Fox stays on the train, kneeling and bending backwards, Fox is disappearing below the bridge with her knees pointing the same direction as the train is moving. Then Wesley is shown running across the bridge. When he jumps back on the train he lands with his one foot right between her thighs, toes pointing towards her body - which is only possible if she is lying with her knees pointing towards the end of the train.
Correction: Her knees are facing towards the front of the train, he could have easily landed backwards with his one foot on purpose.
Corrected entry: Towards the end of the movie, so this is a spoiler. Angelina Jolie does a circular bullet shot using her right hand to shoot in an anticlockwise direction. ***Spoiler alert*** It goes all the way around and hits her on the right side. Should be going in the left side.
Correction: The gun's in her left hand, she sends the bullet to her left, it goes clockwise round the room and hits her from her right, exactly as it should do.
Corrected entry: When Wesley's bullet goes through his friend's Red Bull towards the end, the friend and his new girlfriend are both looking at the can in horror before the bullet hits it. It's harder to tell because the scene is shot backwards, but they are reacting to something that hasn't happened yet.
Correction: At first I thought that too, but his friend actually has that look of horror on his face because Wesley's ex-girlfriend won't stop talking.
Corrected entry: Try Googling Wesley Gibson. Disregarding results about the film, there are still plenty of websites that show up.
Correction: It's part of the plot of the movie, just pointing out that he's a nobody.
Corrected entry: Near the end of the film, Fox shoots every remaining member of the Fraternity, including herself, with a single curved bullet. The idea that a single bullet fired from a handgun could penetrate through-and-through the heads of a dozen adults - something that most heavy-duty rifles couldn't do - is simply impossible and incomprehensible.
Correction: You're unhappy about the idea of a bullet passing through the heads of a dozen adults, while being fine with the fact that it's travelling in a circle, which many people would say was, well, to use your phrase, impossible and incomprehensible? The Fraternity members routinely do things with bullets that violate the standard laws of reality, this is simply another example of that ability.
Corrected entry: The gun Wesley takes from the toilet should not be able to shoot since it has been in water.
Correction: Actually, one of the "U"s is one of the man's teeth that got smacked out of his mouth.
