Best thriller movie mistakes of 2007
Revealing mistake: In the day following the Rider's first ride, Cage shows up at the street that has been burned down the center. A person very close to the beginning of that scene walks on the broken up rocks and it moves as if it were a pad or a sponge. It wasn't a rock moving because the street moves with the rock. It happens a couple of times during that scene.
Continuity mistake: The beginning of the movie was set on Thursday, the day after Jim died, and Bridgette's face was just fine. Later in the movie, on Saturday, Bridgette was at the funeral with cuts and stitches on her face. Then, the movie goes back to Tuesday, the day before Jim died, and they show Bridgette running into the glass door and cutting her face. So if it happened on Tuesday, the first scene of the movie (Thursday) should have shown the cuts on her face.
Deliberate mistake: When Frenzy attacks Sam, the teenager wears straight leg jeans with a narrow leg opening (not boot cut) and thick-soled Nikes, seen in numerous shots, as he kicks at the Decepticon. After the cut to Mikaela (who finds the reciprocating saw), during which Frenzy has already pulled off the bottom of Sam's jeans, Sam continues to kick and scream just before he gets up and runs. Problem is Sam still wears both thick-soled Nikes, neither of which slipped off as Frenzy maniacally pulled the jeans, with narrow leg openings, from his kicking legs/feet. Impossible even in the best of circumstances.

Other mistake: In Saw II, Jigsaw shares a story with Detective Matthews about how he attempted suicide after his cancer diagnosis by driving his car off a cliff. We then see Jigsaw pulling a metal rod out of the left side of his stomach. However, no puncture wound/scarring is visible on Jigsaw's stomach when his autopsy is being performed.
Audio problem: Just as McClane and Farrell are about to leave the Eastern Power Hub, Farrell goes on a long rant and his mouth does not match the words he is saying. [In the unrated version of the film, the rant concurs with Will's mouth movements, but the mistake is valid for the regular version.]

Continuity mistake: In the opening scene, just after the man is set afire he falls to the ground. Frank shoots him and while firing his weapon jams. A casing is stuck in the ejection port (called a stovepipe when it happens). After the round sticks he continues to pull the trigger and the weapon continues to fire.
Plot hole: When L.J. Is bitten he manages to suppress becoming a zombie for 1-2 days. When Carlos is bitten by L.J. he is infected so quickly and talks about it "being too late for him" (whereas in the previous film he had 3 hours before getting the antidote). Why is this different now and why is Carlos not still carrying the antidote in him?

Other mistake: Eddie comes to see Tom at the bathroom clean-up job and convinces Tom to confide in him. Eddie tells Tom that he'll, "See what Wallace knows". There is no character named "Wallace" - he was supposed to say "Vargas", the investigator on the case. The subtitles correctly reference Vargas.

Continuity mistake: In the scene where Dakota is having sex with Aubrey's boyfriend, it specifically shows that her bra is off. Once they finish, and she is getting off of him, she is covering her chest with the sheet. When she does this, her side isn't covered and you can that she is now wearing a black bra.

Factual error: Firearm issues abound throughout the film. The British detectives (who all seem to be armed, rather than a low proportion of AFO (Authorised Firearms Officers) as in real life) are shown carrying Beretta pistols, even though the Metropolitan Police issue the Glock 17. The SFO (Specialist Firearms Operations) officers are shown carrying MP5 submachineguns, which is accurate, but fitted with cheap toy-shop lasers. Weapons handling is poor throughout, with chickenwing syndrome particularly prevalent. Weapons carriage also appears geared to look "cool" rather than realistic; shoulder holsters - which practically everyone wears in this film - are rarely used for concealed carry in reality.
Continuity mistake: The "Power Play" scene when Eric and Hanssen are in the car after a cancelled meeting (13). With Eric's line, "There's construction on E Street," the Kennedy Center appears behind his head, but in the next shot of him ("Sir, I'm SSG.,") the Kennedy Center shows up again, this time farther ahead of the car.
Continuity mistake: During the complete car-bomb chase sequence towards the end of the film, Michael Clayton's car is shown in one shot without its lights on. All the surrounding shots in the scene have both cars with their lights on. This is also a slightly revealing error because it shows that they actually filmed these sequences during the day using neutral density filters.
