Spider-Man 3 picture
Spider-Man 3 mistake picture

Factual error: During the fight scene with Sandman in the armor car, the Terminal Tower can be seen in the background, which is a landmark in Cleveland, Ohio (where the scene was shot), not in New York city.

Ghost Rider picture

Revealing mistake: In the day following the Rider's first ride, Cage shows up at the street that has been burned down the center. A person very close to the beginning of that scene walks on the broken up rocks and it moves as if it were a pad or a sponge. It wasn't a rock moving because the street moves with the rock. It happens a couple of times during that scene.

I Am Legend picture

Continuity mistake: At the start, Robert Neville drives into some yellow poles only to drive into them again in the following shot.

Premonition picture

Continuity mistake: The beginning of the movie was set on Thursday, the day after Jim died, and Bridgette's face was just fine. Later in the movie, on Saturday, Bridgette was at the funeral with cuts and stitches on her face. Then, the movie goes back to Tuesday, the day before Jim died, and they show Bridgette running into the glass door and cutting her face. So if it happened on Tuesday, the first scene of the movie (Thursday) should have shown the cuts on her face.

Hallowed Ground picture

Factual error: When the cop saves the girl from the mob of locals, his car tires squeal as he accelerates away, but the car is on loose dirt, which makes the squealing impossible.

The Hills Have Eyes 2 picture

Visible crew/equipment: At the start of the film, just after the war exercise, when the Sergeant begins yelling at the recruits you can see the outline of his microphone under his T-Shirt. (It's not his dog tags because you can see the shape and dog tags are not shaped like that.)

Transformers picture

Continuity mistake: When Sam and Mikaela handcuff all the agents, Sam is wearing a black short-sleeved tee shirt atop a blue long-sleeved tee, before putting on the hoodie. We see the dark tee sticking out when he and Mikaela climb onto Prime. Then moments later, Sam is wearing ONLY a long white short-sleeved (we see it has short sleeves when Bumblebee gives him the All Spark later, through a tear in the hoodie sleeve) tee shirt under his hoodie, when he falls from Prime, when he witnesses Bumblebee's capture and thereafter. (Earlier, after he knocks Mikaela off the moped, from that point on there is a very large hole at the back of his blue and black tees, where we see his skin under the jagged material edges, with no white material seen anywhere. We also see no sign of a long white undershirt at any time when Sam's dark tees go up, during his many action shots.)

Saw IV picture

Other mistake: In Saw II, Jigsaw shares a story with Detective Matthews about how he attempted suicide after his cancer diagnosis by driving his car off a cliff. We then see Jigsaw pulling a metal rod out of the left side of his stomach. However, no puncture wound/scarring is visible on Jigsaw's stomach when his autopsy is being performed.

Flight of Fury picture

Plot hole: The admiral receives the news of the stolen aircraft from the general over an open radio, with umpteen enlisted personnel within earshot. However, when the air group commander asks what the OP is about, the admiral tells him that it is on a need-to-know basis.

National Treasure: Book of Secrets picture

Continuity mistake: At the end of National Treasure 1, Riley has a Ferrari 360 Spider. At the beginning of Book of Secrets, when his car is being towed away, it's a Ferrari F430 Spider. At the end of the movie, he is given back a 360 Spider.

88 Minutes picture

Live Free or Die Hard picture

Audio problem: Just as McClane and Farrell are about to leave the Eastern Power Hub, Farrell goes on a long rant and his mouth does not match the words he is saying. [In the unrated version of the film, the rant concurs with Will's mouth movements, but the mistake is valid for the regular version.]

The Bourne Ultimatum picture

Continuity mistake: When Bourne is talking to Firsch, the gun he is holding changes from a Glock in the shots facing Bourne, to a SigPro when the shots face Firsch.

American Gangster picture

Continuity mistake: In the opening scene, just after the man is set afire he falls to the ground. Frank shoots him and while firing his weapon jams. A casing is stuck in the ejection port (called a stovepipe when it happens). After the round sticks he continues to pull the trigger and the weapon continues to fire.

Cleaner picture

Other mistake: Eddie comes to see Tom at the bathroom clean-up job and convinces Tom to confide in him. Eddie tells Tom that he'll, "See what Wallace knows". There is no character named "Wallace" - he was supposed to say "Vargas", the investigator on the case. The subtitles correctly reference Vargas.

I Know Who Killed Me mistake picture

Continuity mistake: In the scene where Dakota is having sex with Aubrey's boyfriend, it specifically shows that her bra is off. Once they finish, and she is getting off of him, she is covering her chest with the sheet. When she does this, her side isn't covered and you can that she is now wearing a black bra.

The Contractor picture

Factual error: Firearm issues abound throughout the film. The British detectives (who all seem to be armed, rather than a low proportion of AFO (Authorised Firearms Officers) as in real life) are shown carrying Beretta pistols, even though the Metropolitan Police issue the Glock 17. The SFO (Specialist Firearms Operations) officers are shown carrying MP5 submachineguns, which is accurate, but fitted with cheap toy-shop lasers. Weapons handling is poor throughout, with chickenwing syndrome particularly prevalent. Weapons carriage also appears geared to look "cool" rather than realistic; shoulder holsters - which practically everyone wears in this film - are rarely used for concealed carry in reality.

No Country For Old Men picture

Revealing mistake: In the scene at the motel where Chigurh kills three men, he goes to sit on the bed where he removes his socks. In the background one of the 'dead' men opens his eyes and looks around.

Breach (2007)

Breach picture

Continuity mistake: The "Power Play" scene when Eric and Hanssen are in the car after a cancelled meeting (13). With Eric's line, "There's construction on E Street," the Kennedy Center appears behind his head, but in the next shot of him ("Sir, I'm SSG.,") the Kennedy Center shows up again, this time farther ahead of the car.

Hitman (2007)

Hitman picture

Continuity mistake: During the Sword fight scene, 47 pulls a katana out of a dead agent's hand, in order to use it. It is covered and dripping with blood. However when he comes to use it a few seconds later, it is clean as can be.

Captivity picture

Other mistake: When Jennifer and Gary are scratching the messages to each other on the painted glass, the glass is painted black on both sides so they wouldn't be able to see each others scratchings as the paint on their side would cover the marks the other was making.

Resident Evil: Extinction picture

Revealing mistake: As Carlos is giving his final goodbyes to Claire you can see in the background automobiles driving down the freeway. Shouldn't these roads be empty rather than having what seems to be a thriving highway?

Michael Clayton picture
Michael Clayton mistake picture

Continuity mistake: During the complete car-bomb chase sequence towards the end of the film, Michael Clayton's car is shown in one shot without its lights on. All the surrounding shots in the scene have both cars with their lights on. This is also a slightly revealing error because it shows that they actually filmed these sequences during the day using neutral density filters.

Dead Silence picture

Visible crew/equipment: When Jamie leaves his father's house to meet Henry at the theatre, a member of the production crew can be seen standing behind a bush in the garden as his car reverses.

Disturbia picture

Factual error: In the scene when Kale uses the lamp, taking off its lamp-shade, to see what's inside the hole, he points it in there. The lamp, actually, shouldn't illuminate the wall in one point creating a circle like a flashlight but wholly lighten the larger area.

01:30:00

Shoot 'Em Up picture

Factual error: In the final standoff, Smith shoots Hertz by holding cartridges between his fingers in the fire. This is not remotely believable. The casings, weighing much less than the bullets, would have been blasted off while the bullets themselves would have gone nowhere.
