The Omen picture

Corrected entry: Robert, Kate and Damien go to a church. Damien freaks out and scratches Kate on the forehead causing her to bleed. The next scene in the kitchen, Robert cleans her wound and she goes to bed. Next shot is of her in bed and there's no scratch on her forehead. Even if it was days later she would still have a mark where she had been cut.

Randy DeShong

Correction: Not necessarily. It was only a scratch from a fingernail, and after being cleaned, she could easily have concealed it with makeup after being cleaned.

The Lake House picture

Corrected entry: In the scene where Kate is sitting at a bar, another woman (Dr.) comes in and sits on her left, but in the next shot she is on Kate's right.

Correction: They were showing a shot from the mirror behind the bar.

Material Girls picture

Corrected entry: In the scene where Ava is talking to Tanzie at home the day after the first club scene, she mentions watching Nick's show that night after American Idol. Whereas, in the club scene, she says its a Thursday night and Nick's show is on a Wednesday, which makes it impossible it could be on TV the next day.

Correction: It's possible she was watching a re-broadcast. On the local station here, they play American Idol, bith regular season, and repeats from previous years, late at night, about 4 days a week.

The Queen picture

Corrected entry: In the scene where the Queen and Prince Charles are going to join the "stalkers", the Queen puts two black labs into the Range Rover. When she gets out to walk back, three black labs get out of the Range Rover.

Correction: If you look carefully, there is a third lab that is already in the Range Rover. I thought this was an error, too, but there are three dogs in the establishing shot.

Alpha Dog picture

Corrected entry: Sharon Stone is seen giving a news interview describing what her son was last seen wearing before he went missing. She describes him as wearing pants and a shirt. However, the last time that she saw him they were in an argument in the living room and he was in his underwear. He then ran upstairs, put his clothes on, climbed out the window and she never saw what he was wearing.

Correction: Most mothers that I have met know EXACTLY how many and what kind of clothes their children wear. She could easily determine what was missing and describe it.

Hellboy Animated: Sword of Storms picture

Corrected entry: During the Kappa fight scene, the Kappa tries to steal the Sword of Storms from Hellboy. Hellboy grabs the sword by the blade and yanks it back, implying the blade must be quite dull, or else it would easilly cut his hand very deeply. However, later in the film, it is shown the sword is in fact quite sharp, able to sever the limbs of a giant Oni-like demon, thus meaning Hellboy should not have been able to grab it unprotected with his bare hand as he did earlier.

Correction: He actually grabs it with his stone hand, not his flesh-hand, so it makes sense the damage is minimal.

Hollywoodland picture

Corrected entry: In the scene where George Reeves is drinking from a Coca-Cola bottle, the company logo is painted in white on the bottle. In the 1950's, the logo was actually molded into Coca-Cola bottles and clear.

Correction: The white logo bottle was widely available in the 1950's, as confirmed by the Coca Cola webiste and several other sites about the history of Coca Cola.

The Illusionist picture

Corrected entry: When Eisenheim performs his 'orange tree' trick, his assistant shows the audience that the pot Eisenheim uses it empty. But when Eisenheim makes the tree grow, the pot is full to the top with soil (to cover up the orange tree mechanics).

Correction: The soil appearing in the pot is part of the trick, it's not a mistake.

When A Stranger Calls picture

Corrected entry: In an early scene when Jill is alone and the alarm goes off the first time, the alarm company calls moments later. In a later scene, she sets off the alarm accidently upon reentering the house and this time the alarm company does not call. (00:25:05 - 01:01:05)

Correction: Alarm monitoring companies are like all businesses - they only have a certain amount of staff working at any given time. In the first instance, an employee of the alarm company may have had no other calls, and could respond promptly. In the second instance, all the alarm responders may have been busy (on other calls, on break, in the bathroom) and unable to call right away.

A Year Without Santa Claus picture

Corrected entry: When the Miser brothers sing their songs, the say everything they touch either melts or freezes. But, when they touch their phones and other items, nothing happens.

Paul M Leslie

Correction: They are exaggerating and bragging for the sake of the song. It wouldn't be much of a song if they had to spell out exactly what happens. It's much easier and more fun to say "EVERYTHING I touch".

Rocky Balboa picture

Corrected entry: Very early in the movie when Rocky is at the Italian Market in Philadelphia, he enters "Claudio's" cheese store. He walks directly in and to the left at the counter facing Sal, the owner. Nobody ever goes directly to the left to the counter, you ALWAYS walk to the right around the shelves to the front of the store then to the counter. Counter traffic is strictly enforced at Claudio's.

gambatesa

Correction: Perhaps for the general public. But Balboa is a world wide known star, and even more so a celebrity in Philadelphia. It is in no way a stretch to assume he is close personal friends of the owners of all the markets that he gets his restaraunt supplies from, and thus, can bend the rules a little more then the average joe.

Stick It picture

Corrected entry: When Haley and Joanne are arguing, Haley states that Dalmatians are born with spots. This is incorrect. Dalmatians are actually born white, and only develop spots as they grow. (00:38:20)

Correction: Character mistake, and a fairly common one at that.

Last Holiday picture

Corrected entry: For a woman who can't afford a $350,000 operation, she seems to have no trouble affording a first-class ticket across the ocean, having a helicopter ride her to her hotel, stay in a $3,000 a night hotel room, order everything on the menu every night, get snowboarding lessons, etc, etc.

Correction: When she found out that she was going to die soon, she withdrew all the money she had and spent it on those things. She decided to have fun before she died instead of having an operation.

Catch and Release picture

Corrected entry: A phone call comes through on Grady's secret cell phone once his fiancee, Gray, is staying in his room. From everything we've seen this is at least a few weeks after Grady's death, and nobody knew about the phone, yet the screen shows a fully charged battery.

pinkwafer

Correction: This wasn't a cell phone, and it was on a base hence the full 'charge'.

Smokin' Aces picture

Corrected entry: When the sniper woman fires at the FBI agents, they quite blindly return fire in the general direction of the opposite hotel. This is strictly against regulations, as law enforcement officers of all kinds are only allowed to fire when hitting the target can be safely assumed. These agents obviously did not mind a little collateral damage.

Correction: With the heavy fire they were under and all hell breaking loose, they could be excused for not stopping and thinking about regulations. In any scenario, it leads to two conclusions. One the characters made a poor decision and might be charged later on. Fail that, two there was a great deal of confusion and the officers tried the only option available to try and subdue the sniper or give cover to the other officers.

This Is England picture

Corrected entry: The movie is supposed to be set in 1983. But at several occasions it appears as though the Falklands War was ongoing at the moment. Since that was fought in 1982, it doesn't add up.

Correction: What you've got to remember is that the Cold War was an ongoing state of political, military and economic tension during this time (1945-1991), so they could have been on about that on the radio.

Idiocracy picture

Corrected entry: When Joe and the rest of the White House staff are checking out the crops, they tell him that they have found Rita. When she asks him what he's doing Joe says that they made him secretary. Rita asks him "Secretary of what?" but he never tells. A couple of seconds later, when they are walking across the field, she asks him something along the lines of "How did you get to be Secretary of Interior", but no one ever told her what he was secretary of.

Correction: Rita could easily tell that Joe was the "Secretary of the Interior". If you look closely, people's positions are printed on their shirt sleeves - including Joe.

Stranger Than Fiction picture

Corrected entry: It doesn't make sense that Harold Crick nearly got killed by the bus he was supposed to take. If the bus was supposed to stop there, than it was going far too fast to stop in time.

Correction: You will notice throughout the film we also follow, although in not quite as much detail a black lady and a small boy. The whole point of seeing the black lady and the young boy was to follow their paths in line with Harolds. The lady had just started as a driver the day in which she hits Harold and probably had a brief lack in concentration due to her inexperience.

Eight Below picture

Corrected entry: The dogs are on their own for 15 days before even trying to break free from the chains. Even if they didn't die of starvation before then, they shouldn't have enough strength left to break through thick chains.

Correction: Dogs can go a long time without food, as long as they have water. Huskies and Malamutes will eat snow for water. There was only one or two broken chains, which is possible due to metal fatigue, the rest slipped their collars to get loose. Even though the collars were tightened before they were abandoned, the dogs would have lost enough weight to slip free of the collars.
