The Concorde: Airport '79 picture

Plot hole: In one scene saboteurs rig the Concorde's cargo door to automatically open suddenly in flight, on the principle that the rapid decompression will cripple the airplane & cause it to crash. At the critical time the door does start to open, but jams and only opens very slightly. Minutes go by, with the ajar hatch allowing air to freely pass through. Then, suddenly, the door unjams, and the compartment is shown losing air pressure dangerously fast. Problem is, that since the door had been cracked open for several minutes, the air pressure would surely have gotten to equilibrium by that time. (01:32:45 - 01:36:30)

Sahara picture

Plot hole: There is no way Dirk, Al, and Eva could have made it from the top of the fort to their camels, raced cross the desert and then hid themselves in the sand all before the train were to have met them. The train was barely visible when Dirk saw it through the scope which means it was much farther away to begin with.

The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor picture

Plot hole: Zi Juan tells the rest of the group when they are in Shangri La that she will take the first watch at the entrance and guard against the emperor getting in. A few shots later, she then decides to have a conversation with her daughter nowhere near the entrance, and now with no-one guarding, means he gets in unchallenged.

Suggested correction: A character briefly leaving their watch to deliver important information as Zi Juan was doing isn't a mistake, and it's definitely not a plot hole, since it in no way contradicts the movie's logic or creates a hole in the narrative. At best, Zi Juan was being a little foolish leaving her watch, but a character being a little foolish isn't a "movie mistake." After all, people make foolish choices all the time in real life. Plus, as demonstrated by the movie, it doesn't really matter anyways - the Emperor's powers are back, so she wouldn't have been able to stop him even if she had kept watch.

Licence to Kill picture

Plot hole: Bond goes after Lupe after she leaves the casino table and they have quite a lengthy, hush-hush conversation. It's a casino and there are cameras everywhere. Certainly, this would have been brought to Sanchez' attention since he was already leery of Bond and possibly Lupe.

Plot hole: When Tarzan comes to the hotel to visit Jane, he overhears the bad guys threatening the hotel clerk into giving them Jane's room number. Tarzan then has time to go into the streets and study the hotel for a little while (coincidentally just when Jane happens to appear in her window), climb to the second story and through her window, have a romantic reunion with Jane and explain what is going on before the villains have managed to ascend the one stair from the lobby.

The Poseidon Adventure picture

Plot hole: The survivors find their way to the internet lounge to send out a message via email about the terrorist attack. The ship was upside down. All satellite dishes used to transmit over the internet were completely submerged in water. Even if there was power to the computers, they would not have been able to get a server connection let alone send out email.

Live and Let Die picture

Plot hole: James Bond shouldn't have gotten away at the end of the airport scene where he steals an airplane and pretends to be a flying instructor. He had no wings with which to fly away and he ended back up right outside the airport, so the henchmen, who seemed to still be chasing him one shot before he parked, should have been right on him waiting when he got out of the plane.

The Good, the Bad and the Ugly picture

Plot hole: After Blondie has "teamed up" with Angel Eyes, he hears a gunshot and says something like "Every gun sings its own tune", indicating that he's recognized the shot as being from Tuco's gun. But how did Tuco get his gun back? It certainly would have been confiscated when he entered the prison camp, and the chance that the guard on the train has that exact gun is extremely unlikely - he would most likely have had an officially issued sidearm.

The Final Countdown picture

Plot hole: While still unsure where and when they are, the Nimitz has two F-14 Tomcats aloft, investigating a pair of low-altitude radar contacts. They determine the planes are WWII-vintage Japanese Zeros in full military livery. The Tomcats are told to shadow the Zeros without engaging them. Then, the Captain, the XO, the CAG and Lasky all go to a formal dining room and sit down to tea. In this scene, they talk about many other 1941-era things that are happening, but nobody mentions the Zeros. That fact, and that they left their Tomcats where they did, suggests this scene was meant to be in an earlier part of the film (when things seemed odd, but no imminent threat existed) and got moved here, creating a plot hole that the USS Nimitz could slide through sideways. US Navy nuclear carrier command staff wouldn't simply go have tea under the current conditions. (00:40:30)

Stargate: Continuum picture

Plot hole: In the scene where Ba'al goes through the stargate and arrives in 1939, the event horizon from the stargate puts a hole in the haul of the ship. Later when SG1 goes through the stargate the hole is covered with ice. The event horizon created from SG1 would have been the same as the previous one and removed the ice from the hole.

Hercules in the Maze of the Minotaur picture

Plot hole: This TV movie uses a lot of flashbacks to the previous 4 installments, by having people saying to each other, "Hey, remember that time when we..." a bit more than usual. In the village of the Minotaur, Iolaus remembers the fight from Hercules and the Amazon Women where he dies. That is also the reason why this flashback is interrupted just before that point. But at the end of the Amazon Women story Hercules used magic to jump back in time and change history so that the whole adventure had never happened (next making sure that it would not happen all over again). Obviously they wanted to use some cool action footage from all the TV films. But Iolaus could not remember these events as it happened in some cancelled version of the future. (Hercules remembers, but he wasn't going to tell anyone, and that's what we have to go on).
