Continuity mistake: At the end, when Monica asks about the garbage bags the apartment's front door is closed, but when Rachel opens the drawer and freaks out about what's inside, the front door is wide open (for the camera) as she kicks the drawer shut, and then the door is closed again. Continuity mistake: Before Monica stomps on Paul's watch, the chair closest to the fridge does not have fabric backing, then when Ross eats the Oreo and walks toward his jacket the chair closest to the fridge is now fabric backed and his jacket hangs from a chair with no fabric, plus there are only four chairs around the table. However, when Ross picks up his jacket this chair is now fabric backed, the chair closest to the fridge doesn't have a fabric back yet again, and there are now five chairs around the table. Continuity mistake: When Ross and Cheryl are standing in the hall outside Cheryl's apartment, she's holding her keys in her right hand when she asks Ross if he'd like to come in, but after Ross makes the joke about Homo erectus, Cheryl opens her hand and the keys have vanished from her hand.

The One With The 'Cuffs - S4-E3
Continuity mistake: The handcuffs that Joanna uses on Chandler have a single metal bar connected via pivot to a double bar with the lock area. When Joanna first cuffs Chandler, the double bars on both sides face up at his wrists, but when Chandler's on the phone and when Rachel unlocks his right cuff, the handcuffs are going round his wrist the opposite way with the single bars facing up - quite impossible. Then the same thing occurs when Rachel handcuffs Chandler to the filing cabinet.

Continuity mistake: While Major Allison is piloting the X-80, the style/model of the aircraft differs in shots, and two different numbers appear on its body - FC-226 and FE-229, as well as four different tail numbers that appear on its tailfin - 62216, 70236, 70229, and 61226.

Continuity mistake: After Major Allison's return, when he's in the OR with Dr. Richman he's lying shirtless on a gurney, but in Allison's closeup he's wearing a pajama top and there's a slatted headboard behind him - which is a shot taken from a later scene in his hospital room.

Continuity mistake: When helmet-wearing Vicar Joey taunts Rachel one too many times she turns the tables on him, so when Joey backs away from Rachel he gets pushed up against the front door, and although he can't move, in the shot facing Joey he's at the left side of the door, but in the side shots he's at the right side of the door.

Continuity mistake: After Chandler has written the message on the Magna Doodle, the sliding eraser moves from the right to left side just as he leaves with Monica, and when Joey and Chandler are playing foosball, the barely legible "Joey" is now neatly written on the Magna Doodle, and its sliding eraser is again back to the right side.

Continuity mistake: While Monica and Chandler confront Janine in Joey's apartment, we can see the drawing of the fire breathing dragon and the ape on the Empire State building on the Magna Doodle, then when Joey tells Chandler and Monica to leave because he needs to talk to Janine, the drawing differs - note the dragon's scales, its position, the building, etc.

Continuity mistake: While Ali and Lisa are trying on the dresses for Sophie's wedding, after Sky leaves the room with his props, when Ali and Lisa stand up only one side of Ali's dress is over her shoulders in the shot facing Sophie, but in the shot facing Ali and Lisa both sides are over Ali's shoulders properly.
