Continuity mistake: While Reverend Fordwick is speaking to the congregation at Sunday's service, in all three of Esther's closeups we see the girl who is wearing a blue dress and brown hat sitting behind Esther, but in other shots that girl is seated two rows in front of Esther and it's Jason and Ben who are seated behind their grandmother. Continuity mistake: While Zeb and Cody are on their fishing outing we see that Zeb is wearing white long sleeve thermals under his grey/black shirt. When Reckless starts barking at the catfish, Zeb and Cody head into the water then both men fall in, and Zeb now has red long sleeves under his grey/black shirt, which is presumably a wet suit the older actor is wearing for this wet stunt. Continuity mistake: When Ike buys a ticket from Zeb for Alvira's show Ike is standing near the front door, and in the next shot Ike is sitting beside Emily Baldwin chatting with her, but in the third shot Ben is just now showing Ike to his seat beside Emily. (00:38:45)

Continuity mistake: When Esther breaks her eyeglasses, in the closeup as John-Boy picks it up half of its right lens is gone, but in the wideshot as he hands the glasses to Olivia that lens is still intact. (00:03:20)

Continuity mistake: While John and Zeb are making the train arrangements with Sam, just as Zeb calls Homer an old priss Sam opens the clock dial's top hinged glass door in the wideshot, but in his next closeup that door is suddenly shut and it's the pendulum's bottom glass door which is now wide open. Continuity mistake: After Elizabeth tells her mother that nobody cares about her, while she sulks on the porch there's a wideshot of the girls playing catch with Holly, then as the camera is dollying out Holly's mother comes into view at the left and she's wearing a sweater, but in the next closeup the sweater has vanished. Continuity mistake: In this episode the hidden door to the "secret recipe room" is controlled by pressing the top right panel on the wall. But pressing that top panel should not open or close the door. In 9x12 "The Hot Rod," when they first discover the "ingenius" panel, it is only the panel second from the top that works, none of the other panels control the "secret" door when Ike and Miss Emily press them. Continuity mistake: After the explosion in the Recipe room, when Octavia opens the hidden door there is no molding at the top of the door in the shot from the foyer, but in the next shot from inside the "secret" room, as Octavia enters the room, there is molding along the top of that door. Continuity mistake: When Elizabeth and Corabeth are up late because they can't sleep, Corabeth prepares two glasses of milk and walks toward Elizabeth, but the amount of milk in both glasses increases significantly between shots. (00:34:50)

Continuity mistake: After Ike tells Corabeth his idea of having Elizabeth take Corabeth's place at the store, both Ike and Corabeth walk into the store, and during this scene we see the military honor roll board on the wall. In some shots the nameplate with "John Walton Jr" is at the bottom, but in other shots that nameplate is second from the top, under the "Jason Walton" nameplate. (00:38:55)

Continuity mistake: When Jim-Bob walks down the stairs carrying the new puppy, there are greeting cards on the shelf above the desk, and on the table there are only candles with greenery, but in the next shot as Jeffrey takes the puppy the greeting cards have vanished, and now there is food on the table along with the candles, which have also switched places. (00:47:00)

Continuity mistake: When Paul enters and exits the Dew Drop Inn, in the exterior shots the doorknob is at the left side of the front door as it opens, but in the interior shots that same door opens the opposite way, with the doorknob still at the left side of the door. (00:16:30)

Continuity mistake: While standing in front of the church, when Corabeth gives Cindy the ridiculous book Corabeth is wearing black gloves on both hands, but in the shots facing Cindy as she tries to refuse that book, we see Corabeth's hand gestures at the right side of the screen, and that hand is bare. Continuity mistake: When Ike and the Baldwin sisters prepare to enter the "secret" room, in the shot from the foyer Miss Emily lights two new tall candles and they walk through the room's doorway. Then it cuts to inside the room as they all enter through the doorway, but both candles are now significantly shorter. (00:16:25)

Continuity mistake: When Toni locates Jason at the 171st repple depple the two embrace, and in the following shots Toni's watch repeatedly disappears and reappears on her wrist, depending on the angle of the shot. (00:16:20)

Continuity mistake: When John-Boy, Jason, and Ben share the Recipe with Jim-Bob for a celebration, John-Boy sits on the bed directly below the picture of the biplane fighters (seen in three shots), but each time it cuts to the shots facing Jim-Bob we see in the mirror's reflection that it's Jason sitting below that picture, and John-Boy is further up on the bed. Continuity mistake: When John and Jason remove the rolltop desk from the pickup, in the exterior shot Jason carries the left side and John carries the right side, but as they walk through the doorway it cuts to an interior shot and with the desk still in the air the two men have suddenly switched sides. Continuity mistake: While Miss Mamie is trapped, when Ike and Miss Emily find the special wall panel to control the door, the hidden door opens and the top of the door is plain with no molding, but when Ike leads the Baldwin sisters into the room, in the shot from within the room there is molding across the top of that door. (00:14:20 - 00:16:25)

Continuity mistake: After Rose tells the Baldwin sisters that she needs "time to catch up," when it cuts to Stanley and Rose driving up to the home, in the wide shot the windshield wipers are pointed to the right, but in the closeup they're pointed to the left, then back to the right again.
