Continuity mistake: In this episode Blanche says she has had 4 children, but she has never owned a Mercedes. She offers one of her three sons (named Biff, Doug and Skippy) to Dorothy in order to let her keep the car. In other episodes she mentions daughters Rebecca and Janet frequently, and in the "To Catch a Neighbor" episode she mentions a son, Matthew, who is a CPA. That's at least six children by my count.
Continuity mistake: In the pilot, Blanche's bedroom is to the back left, not down the hall. From the series' second episode on, the lanai was out of the back left door and all the bedrooms are down the hallway.
Wham, Bam, Thank You, Mammy - S6-E5
Continuity mistake: When Mammy Watkins first hands the letters over to Blanche, the ribbons holding them together are knotted but the knot is on the bottom of the pile, and the strands are quite long. When Blanche reaches for them, the knot is on the top, it is now tied in a bow, and the strands are much shorter and neater.
My Brother, My Father - S3-E17
Other mistake: It's raining outside. Dorothy comes in the house and says "it's really coming down", then shakes her coat off although it's not wet. Then Stan shows up with an umbrella that's not wet. Then Sophia's brother Angelo shows up and isn't wet either. (03:20:50 - 03:22:45)
Continuity mistake: In this episode, Dorothy's son, Michael, is said to be thirty years old. When he married his wife in the season 3 episode "Mixed Blessings", he was said to be 23.
Character mistake: In the scene in the kitchen in which Rose says that Bob Hope could be her father, she tells Dorothy and Blanche that Gunter and Alma Nylund are her adoptive parents. Nylund, however, was her husband Charlie's last name, making it Rose's married name and not her maiden name. Nylund was not her adoptive parents' name.
Old Friends - S3-E1
Other mistake: Blanche asks Daisy to go to Rose's room to get the things she set out for the rummage sale. Daisy goes into the first room on the right and gets the items, including Rose's teddy bear. Blanche gives it to her for helping out. Rose comes home, goes to her room and comes back asking where her bear is. Problem is, Rose's room is at the end of the hall on the left.
My Brother, My Father - S3-E17
Continuity mistake: Angelo claims he promised their mother on her deathbed that he would become a priest, and Sophia says she promised she would marry someone else - and we assume she died before Sophia or Angelo got married to their spouses. However, in the episode where they are flashing back for Mother's Day, Sophia's mother is in this episode along with Sal (and she looks like an older version of Dorothy).
Revealing mistake: In the dance off scene when Rose is doing cartwheels, you can see it's Betty White's stunt double.
One Flew Out of the Cuckoo's Nest (2) - S7-E26
Continuity mistake: When Sophia goes around taking pictures of Dorothy and Lukas kissing, she accidentally takes a picture of Rose and Blanche hugging. When she takes the picture, they are still hugging and see her afterwards. When the picture develops, they are both staring at the camera with shocked looks, but the picture was already out when they turned around.
Empty Nests - S2-E26
Continuity mistake: When Dorothy snaps at Oliver, she mentions him "throwing up in the pool" at a new year's party at Blanche's house. There is no pool on the girls' property (which is Blanche's house, and they've always all lived there); it is never seen or mentioned outside of this episode.
Continuity mistake: In series 3 Dorothy's son Michael, who is engaged to a woman 21 years older than he, is supposed to be 23. In Series 2, when Michael sleeps with Rose's daughter, Dorothy mentions that he is 29 years old.
Visible crew/equipment: Blanche and Rose are rehearsing their tap dancing routine. At the end of the routine, Sofia walks in and the boom mic becomes visible on the top right of the screen, moving toward her. (00:32:15)
There Goes the Bride (1) - S6-E16
Continuity mistake: As the show begins, an outside shot of the house shows that it is night. Then it cuts to the scene of Blanche and Sophia playing Chess in the kitchen - when Blanche is complaining about Sophia's "do-overs" you can see outside the kitchen window and it is daytime. After Rose walks in about 30 seconds later, you can see that it is night again.
Continuity mistake: Napkins, plates, etc. disappear from the table as Blanche is talking to Dorothy. (00:03:15 - 00:03:55)
Revealing mistake: When Mr Ha Ha is talking to Dorothy, the little boy is in the background waiting for his cue to smash the cake in Mr Ha Ha's face.
Journey to the Center of Attention - S7-E19
Continuity mistake: In the first scene of the show, Dorothy has a bowl of popcorn on her lap. The amount of popcorn changes between shots. At one point it's overflowing, and at another it's about half full.
Other mistake: When Blanche gets her citrus plate in the mail, she receives it in a box. She takes it from the mailman and it shows a normally taped up package, yet she just lifts open the flaps like they aren't even sealed.
Continuity mistake: Blanche says she can't go to the Sinatra concert because her final exam is that night. In the first classroom scene, the chalkboard says that the final exam is in four weeks. But before Blanche gets home and tells the girls that her teacher wants her to sleep with him, Dorothy says the concert is in two weeks. It is the same day, since Blanche is wearing the same outfit and she wouldn't wait two weeks to tell the girls about her teacher.
Guess Who's Coming to the Wedding? - S1-E2
Visible crew/equipment: When Dorothy and Stanley are talking outside, the camera rolls into frame on the left-hand side. (00:22:48)
Suggested correction: In the context of the story, perhaps he was simply waiting for the conversation between Dorothy and Mr Ha Ha to end before he addressed anyone. Some people do that.
dewinela
A correction for this was already attempted. In certain instances, it's obvious that an actor (especially a child actor) is waiting for a cue, mouthing the lines, or suppose to be off-camera. Sometimes their actions can be explained as normal for the given scene, but evidence for their actions need to be based on viewing the scene, not just guessing. Bobby is making a movement to get up, and starts to lean forward waiting for his cue because he's not even looking at Dorothy and Mr. Ha Ha. And he stands up while Dorothy is talking, so he's not waiting for their conversation to end.
Bishop73
Considering that I was watching this scene when I replied, I stand by it. Mr Ha Ha was acting arrogantly towards Dorothy and the kid was close enough to overhear the conversation. Proof is when he gets up as Dorothy is talking, because that was the moment she said she couldn't do it. As soon as she said it, that's when he committed himself to do it because since Mr Ha Ha mentioned a lawyer to Dorothy he'd never have the nerve to threaten a child, and the kid knew it.
