Continuity mistake: When Sookie is reunited with Joe from the Deerhill Lodge, Lorelai pours herself a cup of coffee, then after Joe and Sookie have hugged, in the shots facing Sookie and Joe we see Lorelai's hand holding the cup, but in the shots facing Lorelai and Alex, Lorelai's hands are empty. Continuity mistake: After Luke and "Mimi" talk at the diner Lorelai comes home, and while she and Rory sit on the couch note the open window behind them, with a clown pillow in front of it and the porch chair on the other side, but when Lorelai asks for her purse because she's hungry it cuts to the exterior shot, and nothing is blocking the view through that window. Continuity mistake: While Rory is at Doose's, when Dean surprises Rory and kisses her, in the first shot facing Dean his head is leaning to his left, but in the next shot Dean's head is now suddenly leaning to his right. (00:04:30)
Continuity mistake: When TJ is at the diner telling Luke about Liz's plans, Luke pours TJ a cup of club soda, and in the shots facing TJ the bottle of club soda is on the counter directly in front of Luke, but in the shots facing Luke the bottle is off to the side near the sugar. (00:11:00)
Continuity mistake: After Lorelai and Christopher bring coffee and donuts to Rory and the other newspaper staff, while Rory's talking to her parents she's holding a blue pencil and papers with no clipboard in sight, but when Chris and Lorelai say goodbye Rory's pencil is black and a clipboard has suddenly appeared in her closeup. Continuity mistake: While Lorelai is at the diner talking to Luke about Nicole, when she takes a seat at the counter she places her black purse on the stool beside her, but in the following shots that purse repeatedly reappears and disappears from her shoulder, depending on the camera angle. Continuity mistake: When Lorelai tells Rory she doesn't have to go into the Dean of Admissions' office, Emily is standing right next to her but when Lorelai turns to step away from Rory, Emily is many steps back.

Continuity mistake: During the dance marathon while Luke is fixing Lorelai's shoe, Taylor can be seen on the podium in the background changing from standing to sleeping over and over.

Continuity mistake: During the baby shower while Lorelai and Sherry are talking alone at the food table, all the contents on Sherry's plate keep changing.
One's Got Class and the Other One Dyes - S3-E4
Visible crew/equipment: Right before Lane walks out there is a crew member watching the scene from the doorway of the back room and then she quickly ducks back inside.
Haunted Leg - S3-E2
Visible crew/equipment: Rory gets dragged in the bathroom to discuss hem lines and the entire time the mic guy can be seen in the shadow on the wall behind her.
Dead Uncles and Vegetables - S2-E17
Continuity mistake: When Lorelai and Luke are sitting at his kitchen table, there is a box behind Lorelai with a shirt that goes from hanging out of the box to being in the box repeatedly.

Visible crew/equipment: Rory interrupts Lorelai and Luke talking at his kitchen table and as Lorelai walks out of the room you can see the boom mic drop in the mirror over Rory's head. (00:19:45)
Audio problem: When Rory and Jess are talking in the car, there's a mismatch sound when Rory says "whatever" followed by "wherever". (00:19:00)
Visible crew/equipment: When Lorelai joins Rory at Luke's, as she opens the door, she reveals camera equipment outside the door. (00:20:00)
Suggested correction: It's not camera equipment you're seeing; it's one of the newspaper dispensers on the sidewalk outside Luke's, at the curb. These newspaper dispensers are visible in many episodes.
Dear Emily and Richard - S3-E13
Character mistake: Lorelai calls Rory "Suki" when they are unboxing the books Emily gave to them. (00:10:08 - 00:31:11)
Suggested correction: She calls her "sweetie."
Twenty-One Is the Loneliest Number - S6-E7
Other mistake: Though I love the 21st birthday at the casino plan, it's flawed. Rory will not be able to play blackjack until she is 21. She can't be playing when she turns 21. Casinos, to the best of my knowledge, won't let you on the gaming floor unless you are 21. She has to turn 21 first.
The Big One - S3-E16
Other mistake: Headmaster Charleston called Rory to discuss the speech contest. His secretary conferenced in Paris. When Headmaster Charleston hung up, the connection between Rory and Paris should have been severed. They were both connected to him, not to each other.
Twenty-One Is the Loneliest Number - S6-E7
Other mistake: After Emily goes to the pool house on the pretence of looking for a blouse, she asks Logan about plans for Rory's birthday. Later, Emily and Richard talk. Emily suspects that Rory is ready to have relations with Logan. She says that she caught them getting cozy on the couch. Emily didn't catch them doing anything. There was no way for Emily to see inside. Both Logan and Rory got off the sofa to answer the door. Emily didn't see anything. And, Logan told Emily that he had no plans for where his birthday. He knows that Emily is planning a party, yet he offered to take Rory away for her birthday. Emily would've been devastated.
