Continuity mistake: When Lorelai, Max, and Rory are in the diner, just as Luke tells them that he's almost out of the blueberry pancakes and he can't make more, the regular menu which is set upright on the table suddenly becomes the "lunch" menu, and then it's back to the regular menu. This occurs well before Luke even brings Max the lunch menu because Max is taking too long to decide. (00:13:35)

Continuity mistake: In this episode, Lorelai tells Luke that she needs to tell the plumber that rooms 10, 12, and 15 have no water pressure, but earlier in this season when she gives the presentation at the town meeting about the Inn to get her permits approved, she says that the inn will only have ten rooms. It is also mentioned in the last episode of the season when Lorelai puts her parents in room 12. (00:04:10)

Continuity mistake: When Lorelai is talking to Richard and Emily about Rory, Richard writes down the name of an attorney and closes his memo pad but in the next shot it is open again with his pen poised.
Continuity mistake: Lorelai walks into the kitchen and tells Sookie "she did it" and only has a brown bag in her hand. In the next shot she has a brown bag in one hand and the Chilton letter in the other.
The Prodigal Daughter Returns - S6-E9
Continuity mistake: April is in the diner taking a hair sample from Luke and takes his photo. She puts the camera in her pocket and in the next shot she has the camera in her hand again.
The Bracebridge Dinner - S2-E10
Continuity mistake: When Dean and Clara first arrive at the Inn and are shown talking to Rory, Luke and Jess arrive in the background and Luke removes his jacket. In the next shot his jacket is back on and he removes it again.
Just Like Gwen and Gavin - S6-E12
Continuity mistake: When Lane spins the Doggy Swami wheel, the number 5 is at the top, and Lorelai removes the piece of paper under it. When it changes to the close up shot, the wheel now has the number 20 at the top with the piece of paper under it drawn. (00:40:15)
Continuity mistake: Lorelai and Luke are having a romantic dinner in his apartment. She puts candles in the sticks at an angle, but when they return to the table the candles are straight in their holders. (00:18:00)
One's Got Class and the Other One Dyes - S3-E4
Continuity mistake: When Lane and the band are arguing in the music shop and Dave ushers Lane to go outside to talk, she picks up her jacket on the way out the door. When she gets outside, though, she has no jacket. (00:09:00)
Continuity mistake: In the scene where Rory is talking to Lane on her cell phone, she sits down on a bench. On that bench is a guy reading a book. The scene shifts to Lane in Stars Hollow, and when it shifts back to Rory at Yale, the guy on the bench is gone. (00:16:40)
Continuity mistake: Rory's snow-cone changes color from deep red to light pink between shots.
Lorelai's Graduation Day - S2-E21
Continuity mistake: When Emily, Lorelai and Richard are going to take the picture, Richard lifts his arm as if he is going to put it around Lorelai's shoulder. The angle changes and his hand is no longer raised. He then raises it again before finally lowering it.
To Whom It May Concern - S7-E12
Continuity mistake: Lorelai and Sookie are talking in the kitchen. Christoffer comes over and says, "Come on. Are you serious?" In the next shot, the drawstring on his Yale hoodie has changed position.
Continuity mistake: Dean takes out his salad box when they sit and watch the Donna Reed show, but he doesn't open it. In the next shot it is open, and in the next shot again, a salad leaf is at his fork, without touching it.
The Lorelais' First Day at Chilton - S1-E2
Continuity mistake: While Rory is at the administration office Miss James gives her the Chilton map, schedule, etc. Then just as Miss James tells Rory that Mr. Winters, the guidance counselor, handles everything except bulimia and pregnancy, Miss James is wearing eyeglasses in the shot facing Rory, but in the previous and following shots she is not. (00:15:50)
The Big One - S3-E16
Continuity mistake: When Lorelai sits down on the porch swing at Suki's house to talk, they are both sitting right next to each other, sharing the same blanket. During their conversation, when the shots face each of them individually, you can see there is an empty space beside them on the swing, with both sides of the swing's chains visible. (00:20:50)
Lorelai's Graduation Day - S2-E21
Continuity mistake: When Rory and Lorelai are talking in their kitchen, Rory pushes the cafetière plunger down but then over the conversation it is pictured sometimes raised, and then lowered and then raised again a few different times. (00:04:30 - 00:06:00)
In the Clamor and the Clangor - S4-E11
Continuity mistake: When Lorelai walks into Luke's apartment, she has a doughnut in her right hand, but as she's looking around the apartment and then leaving, the doughnut is nowhere to be seen. (00:25:16)
Continuity mistake: When Rory is sitting in the theatre, on the phone to Lorelai, we see the same people walk behind her twice - the woman with white jeans on and the woman with beige trousers. (00:42:10)
The Road Trip to Harvard - S2-E4
Continuity mistake: When Lorelai returns to Stars Hollow she goes to Luke's, and as she takes a seat at the counter there's a glass domed cake platter (with what looks like pie) at the end of the counter, which promptly vanishes in the following shots. Also, the blue box of wax paper sheets moves to the opposite side of the hot cups on the counter, between shots. (00:37:55)
