Continuity mistake: When Peter is stealing steroids from behind Mort Goldman's desk, he gets down on his knees to hide. In the next shot, he is standing (albeit bent at the hips).
Other mistake: When Lois knocks out the karate master, if you look in the stands, behind Peter, there is a person without a nose.
Factual error: When Meg and Lois are in the back of a police car they escape by opening the back doors and getting away. The rear doors of a police car can only open from the outside, for obvious reasons and this escape could not be possible.
Continuity mistake: At the Adult Education centre we see an establishing shot showing the building and that it is night time. When we see the classroom there is beautiful sunshine beaming in through the window. (00:04:20)

Continuity mistake: Peter gets in to Cleveland's van and to do so, crosses a pavement. When Cleveland drives off there is no pavement. (00:16:40)

Continuity mistake: Right after Lois is telling Peter that he should go to Joe's house, you see a plate and a coffee mug. But right after the angel spirit holds the gun up to Peter's head, and he is walking away from the table, the plate and mug are gone.

Other mistake: When Peter is dumped into the sea, a ship appears on the right hand side of the screen. However, the ship just appears randomly, it doesn't sail in to the shot, one frame its open water and the next frame it's there. (00:10:20)

Continuity mistake: At the mall Stewie is wearing a pair of mustard color fingerless mittens, and the problem occurs while Stewie is sitting on Santa's lap. When Stewie first mentions plutonium and being a good boy, Stewie's hands show all of his fingers which means he's mittenless, but the color of his hands is the same color as his mittens. Then, when Santa tells Stewie to wrap it up, Stewie is wearing his mustard color mittens, then his mustard color fingers return again.

Continuity mistake: The cashier opens the register for the robber. The money is in the tray yet the robber grabs the money from the counter without even touching the tray.

Continuity mistake: While Lois is driving her family home from the mall, the animation process did not properly color Lois during the car ride. First, she's wearing white gloves, but in one shot both of her hands are bare on the steering wheel. Second, Lois is wearing a green coat and white scarf around her neck, but in the shot facing the town's tree through the windshield, her scarf/collar is red (her Santa hat has a red narrow tip with a white pom-pom).

Also, the plate of cookies that are on the arm of the couch seem to vanish as well.

Continuity mistake: When Lois asks Brian to put on his sweater the rabbit ears antenna is atop the TV, but when Lois asks Peter to "please" get the tree, the TV antenna has vanished then it reappears, and the rug isn't where it should be then it too reappears properly.
Answer: Lacey Chabert was the actress who originally voiced Meg in early episodes. She left of her own accord due to being in school and other acting work; Seth MacFarlane has stated there was no tension with her leaving, but it makes for a handy joke for the show.
