Star Trek: The Next Generation

Heart of Glory - S1-E20

Continuity mistake: On the freighter, when Geordi looks at Data, the image on the Bridge view screen has Data's hair in an unkempt, or unusual style. When the scene shifts back to the freighter, Data's hair is straight back.

Nth Degree - S4-E19

Other mistake: After Data reports the bypass blocked, Riker goes to call to Barclay. The chirp preceding the computer, now Barclay's, response occurs almost simultaneously with the call, rather than a second or two gap between the call and chirp.

Nth Degree - S4-E19

Continuity mistake: When Barclay enters the Holodeck to create an interface, he calls for a chair, an input for the left and a display for the right. When Picard comes to question him, the input and display units are gone.

The Child - S2-E1

Continuity mistake: When checking Ian's pulse, Pulaski reaches out with her left hand, but her right arm retracts after the angle change.

Relics - S6-E4

Other mistake: When Scotty goes to the holodeck to visit the original Enterprise, the computer tells him there are 5 Federation vessels with that name. (NX-01 served before the founding of the Federation so this is technically correct.) Scotty specifies NCC-1701, "no A, B, C or D." The computer then tells him the program is ready. The computer should have asked him if he wanted pre or post refit NCC-1701. The ship we see in the Original Series was rebuilt/refit into the ship we see in The Motion Picture.

Cost of Living - S5-E20

Revealing mistake: At the end of the episode, when Mrs. Troi enters Ten Forward naked, the flesh-colored top Majel Barrett is wearing is visible.

Yesterday's Enterprise - S3-E15

Revealing mistake: When Tasha and Castillo walk up to the bar in Ten Forward, Whoopi Goldberg can be seen standing outside the door waiting for her cue to walk in the room.

The Enemy - S3-E7

Other mistake: While down in the pit Geordi makes a couple of spikes to climb out with. When the phaser beam is melting the ore, the metal goes molten about two inches in front of the beam. Also, the spikes are rounded, like handles. The molds he made would have left a flat side.

Timescape - S6-E25

Plot hole: Wouldn't Worf have known that the distress call was coming from a Romulan ship long before Riker arrived on the bridge?

The Offspring - S3-E16

Other mistake: One of the physical appearances Lal considers adopting is an Andorian female with green skin. In the Trek universe, Andorians invariably have blue skin (the Aenar are a variant of the Andorian race but are depicted with bluish-white skin, still not green). And while other humanoid races have been portrayed with different skin tones, there are some races that have only one skin hue. (ie, Andorians are always blue, Orions are always green, Ferengi are always light orange.) It is highly unlikely she or Data designed it with different skin as Data wants her to fit in, and Troi makes no mention of it.

The Big Goodbye - S1-E12

Revealing mistake: When Picard looks out the window of the Dixon Hill office he sees the cars passing by each other, the traffic light is right in front of the window as if the entire building is not only in the middle of the street but only one story high.

Final Mission - S4-E9

Visible crew/equipment: In the scene in the cavern where Wesley fires his phaser to heat the rocks to keep him and Picard warm, Wesley's shadow is in the wrong place. The camera is in almost a direct line of sight between where the rocks are (which are supposed to be providing the light source) and Wesley with the cavern wall behind him. After Wesley fires his phaser and the room illuminates, his shadow should be either directly behind him or to the left of him, but his shadow appears to the right side of him. The only way his shadow would be there was if the light source was off camera a good distance to the left.

Final Mission - S4-E9

Plot hole: Why would the miners send a shuttle to get Captain Picard when the Enterprise has a compliment of shuttlecraft on board? Also, how could the Enterprise engineering team (led by Lt. Commander LaForge) miss that the thruster quad on the shuttle was near failure?

Time's Arrow (1) - S5-E26

Visible crew/equipment: When Deanna and Riker stop at the turbolift to discuss Data, before the doors open to reveal Data, in the shot facing Deanna the reflection of crew movement is visible on the trim's surface, just over the turbolift.

Ensign Ro - S5-E3

Continuity mistake: When Picard, Ro and the others arrive at the refugee camp to meet with Keeve Falor, the type of uniform top Ro is wearing has its zipper at the back in the center - with no seam whatsoever at the front. When she kneels down in front of the child, it has changed to the open-front jacket type, so Ro can touchingly give it to the child.

The Enemy - S3-E7

Other mistake: They beam up with the injured Romulan to the transporter room and Beverly says "let's get him to sickbay." They could have just beamed directly to sickbay.

Dan23

The Drumhead - S4-E21

Other mistake: The ship warp core was damaged by an explosion earlier and was offline in the first 32 minutes of the episode. But the ship's CGI indicates that it was online all through the episode.

Redemption (2) - S5-E1

Revealing mistake: The Klingon which challenges Gowron, and which Gowron kills, is seen breathing when he should be stone dead. (00:16:10)

Power Play - S5-E15
