The Italian Job (2003)

Continuity mistake: The weather changes between the first two scenes in Venice. The scene in St. Mark's Square is in fog, mist and rain, but in the next scene, supposedly taking place at exactly the same time (with Handsome Rob) there are blue skies.

Under Siege (1992)

Factual error: The video feed form the cruise missile heading for Hawaii shows constant direction changes. If it was fired from way out at sea, it would just fly the direct route to its target, and it wouldn't have to change course a number of times.

Under Siege (1992)

Continuity mistake: Early in the film, a missile is fired from the ship, and it hits the satellite installation right outside the Navy headquarters (the people in the control room hear the explosion). It gets there very fast. Later in the film, a nuclear missile is sent towards Honolulu. That is supposed to take 24 minutes. Why so long, when the other missile got there much faster?

Suggested correction: The satellite facility wasn't at Pearl Harbor, it was somewhere else. Based on the map it was located on a small island and the ship was very close to it at the time the missile was fired so took very little time to get there. The people in the command center, not control room, hear the feed go out, not the explosion. Many hours later, and after a lot of sailing, when the missiles are fired at Honolulu, the ship could have been a couple hundred miles away from Oahu so the flight time at about 550 mph would be 24 minutes.

Under Siege (1992)

Factual error: In the scene where Ryback is swimming next to the submarine, it is clear that the water is brown and murky. If the ship is in the middle of the Pacific, the water would be crystal clear.

Suggested correction: While Mobile Bay is the likely location, the Pacific Ocean is certainly not crystal clear all over.

Red 2 (2013)

Factual error: When Han is shooting at the gang with the Gatling gun, and we see the holes, they are all completely circular, even though the projectiles should have hit the surface at an angle. The holes in the cars etc. to the far right should have been oblong.

Red 2 (2013)

Revealing mistake: When Han shoots at Bruce Willis and the others with the Gatling gun, we see cartridges on the ground. You can tell that they are all blanks. The tip is jagged and has been closed - live ammo just has an open hole where the bullet was.

Troy (2004)

Revealing mistake: When we fly over the beach and see all the ships with the arriving troops, some running ashore, the CGI men look like they're running on the water's surface rather than through it, as they're making no splashes.

Pacific Rim (2013)

Revealing mistake: In one of the first scenes, one of the characters is standing with an umbrella close to a landing helicopter - without the umbrella being the least affected by the wind.

The Specialist (1994)

Continuity mistake: In the opening scene, the explosion comes from above the bridge, and not below, where the explosive charges were placed.

Romancing the Stone mistake picture

Continuity mistake: The piece of wood Zolo grabs as a weapon changes shape between shots. When he threatens Joan with it, seen from behind the end is quite even, but when seen from the front (and when he picks it up at first) it is pointy.

Jacob La Cour

Continuity mistake: When Zolo catches Joan, Jack and all, Ira has the map in one hand. In one clip it is folded out and the front is shown. In the next clip it is folded differently.

Jacob La Cour

Continuity mistake: The straw surrounding the rabbit statue is completely dry, although it has been in water for many years only covered by coarse cloth.

Jacob La Cour

Continuity mistake: When Joan slides down the hill through the jungle, she lands in a pool of water, with her back to the 'slide'. But in the next clip she has turned 180 degrees.

Where Eagles Dare (1968)

Plot hole: How could Colonel Turner both be in London during the mission and in the pick-up plane? A Juncker can fly approx 220 km/h. It is approx. 1200 km from London to Southern Bavaria. That means that Colonel Turner would have had to leave London 5½ hours before the pick-up. The team does definitely not spend 5½ hours from the last time we see Colonel Turner in London until the pick-up.

Where Eagles Dare (1968)

Continuity mistake: At Oberhausen Airfield we see the plane land in clear skies. But when the bus seconds later drives through the fence, it is cloudy and foggy. (01:50:25)

Where Eagles Dare (1968)

Continuity mistake: When the team is about to jump from the cable car into the river, seen from the cable car, they wait until they get close to the shore. But when they jump, seen from below, the cable car is moving across the river from the far side, and they land in the middle.

Where Eagles Dare (1968)

Continuity mistake: In the scene where the Germans are beating down the door to the hallway leading to the cable car, when the door is about to give way, in the clip from inside the door, it is moving a lot under each blow, but when seen from the outside it doesn't move at all.

Where Eagles Dare (1968)

Plot hole: When Smith and Shaffer take the gondola up to the castle, they step down on the roof of the car with heavy steps. It is completely unrealistic that the Germans inside did not hear them.

Where Eagles Dare (1968)

Plot hole: We never get an explanation why the three German spies in the British team are killing their team mates - and it doesn't really make any sense. They could just wait until they entered the Castle - and then ensure that they all got caught.
