Lie to Me (2009)

Gone - S3-E12

Corrected entry: Season 3, Episode 12: "Gone" - Collette Bradley tells the Lightman Group that someone would need a spare key to get into her car and kidnap Kimberly. This implies that she locked the doors of her car. But if you watch the scene again, she doesn't lock the car. No action towards locking the car is taken and no sound is heard of an automatic locking system.

THGhost

Correction: Collette told a lot of lies in conjunction with this one, so it doesn't stand to reason that this could be considered a plot hole. Everything she said was to try to avoid telling them that she left the baby unattended, and even then, was afraid to give the whole story.

Spin City (1996)

Back to the Future IV: Judgment Day - S3-E18

Corrected entry: About three minutes into the episode, Mike claims to be responsible for "Right On Red" legislation. "Right On Red" has been around since the 40's. Ironically, NYC (all five boroughs), where the show is based, is the only place in the country where there is no "Right On Red" except where posted as opposed to being permitted except where posted.

terry s

Correction: Almost everything Mike says is sarcastic to get other people to laugh. Like when he said, "Officer down!" when he flipped over a table at the police station or when he said that "Farfrompoopin" was the German word for "constipation." He always says these things with a smile and everybody knows he's joking about such things.

Knever

Corrected entry: At one point, the General salutes the Lieutenant - no officer would salute a subordinate in the military. Similarly, at another point, the Lieutenant salutes the Captain, and the Private beside them salutes the Lieutenant (and actually shifts her stance to stand beside the Captain, to face the Lieutenant). A salute would always go to the higher-ranking officer. As well, throughout the movie, there are several instances of salutes which are awkward, incomplete, informal and not realistic for any military organization.

DavidRTurner

Correction: This takes place far in the future and with alien bugs. It's very safe to assume that this military has gone through some changes, and cannot be expected to conform to any of our current militaries.

Charmed (1998)

Trial by Magic - S4-E11

Corrected entry: Piper convinced Paige that they should use their powers to make Andrew confess to murder. Paige wonders why it's okay to reveal their powers to a mortal, and Piper and Leo explain to her that it's all right to use their powers on a mortal because they're trying to help an innocent. But in episode 2-19: "Ex Libris," Prue wanted to use a truth spell to force the pawnshop owner to confess to murder, and Phoebe pointed out that it is an abuse of their powers to punish the guilty.

DavidK93

Correction: There's a difference between helping the innocent and punishing the guilty. Sometimes, helping an innocent will inadvertently also punish the guilty, but the main goal for them is to stop pain and suffering happening directly to an innocent.

Charmed (1998)

The Wedding from Hell - S1-E6

Corrected entry: When the Charmed Ones run up to the bedroom at the end of the episode, Prue can't find the poignard as she rummages through her black purse. Elliot, who has fallen from the bed, suddenly picks up the poignard from the ground, where it is sitting next to a black purse. The way the shot is set up, it looks as if the purse has fallen there, and the poignard fell out. But since Prue is still holding the purse that the poignard was supposed to be in, and she hadn't been to that room before, the poignard's presence on the floor is completely inexplicable. (00:41:40)

DavidK93

Correction: The purse on the ground, despite being black, is very different from Prue's purse, it is most likely somebody else's. As for the knife, the three sisters are all shoved when the bridesmaids enter and Prue's purse falls from her. We don't see the knife falling out, but its reasonable to assume that it did so since it ended up a few feet away where Elliot was.

Charmed (1998)

The Fifth Halliwell - S4-E16

Corrected entry: The Seer tells Cole about the importance of the upcoming "Harvest Moon." But this episode aired in mid-March, while the Harvest Moon is the full moon closest to the autumnal equinox. The full moon closest to the vernal equinox is known as the Worm Moon. (00:02:55)

DavidK93

Correction: Real time is not taken into account within the fiction of the show, so it doesn't matter what the actual date is when the episode aired.

Superbad (2007)

Corrected entry: In the scene where Seth is telling his Home Ec teacher why he doesn't like the class, he says, "There's three weeks left of school, gimme a f*ckin break." But, in the beginning of the movie when Seth and Evan drive up to school, the school board reads "Two glorious weeks until graduation." And when Evan is drilling holes into a piece of wood in one of his classes (in the extended version), he says, "Two weeks, f*ck it."

Correction: My high school's seniors graduated a week before that school year actually ended. The finals had already been done and there was nothing important scheduled for the seniors on the last week following the graduation, so technically there are three weeks of school left, but only two for the seniors.

Superbad (2007)

Corrected entry: After Seth goes to "rob" the supermarket's liquor, Fogell and Evan are talking about Fogell's TV. However, in the next shot, they seem to be standing in the same position, but in another place completely. The supermarket behind them is no more; there are shadows upon them even though they were standing in the sun the previous shot; the parked vehicles behind them change completely; they stand closer to the parking area; and even the time of day is not the same (from sunset, since it's after school, to midday). Also, Evan points at the off-screen Seth, somewhere on the left side of the screen, yet he should be behind them. Note that it is the same scene. (00:30:10)

Correction: Having just watched this scene, there doesn't seem to be any kind of continuity error like the one described.

Tru Calling (2003)

Past Tense - S1-E4

Corrected entry: Tru thinks that the alcohol has been poisoned, and doesn't realise that it's really the ice until she sees that the stripper has been drinking tequila without ice all night and is fine. But she should have known that the alcohol wasn't poisoned as soon as she found out that one of the men wasn't drinking any alcohol but still died, which happened earlier.

DavidK93

Correction: There was one more person at the party than there were dead. She didn't know who it was and couldn't rule anything out before checking everything.

Tru Calling (2003)

Past Tense - S1-E4

Corrected entry: Meredith ensures she gets a negative drug test by providing some else's urine sample. Wouldn't they know straight away? It is good medical practice (something that a law firm would most likely want upheld) to check the temperature of the sample (about 32-38C) to ensure the sample is fresh.

Andy Benham

Correction: There are many ways to pass off samples for drug testing. Without seeing the actual procedure, we have to assume that they came up with a plan, since it ended up working.

Tru Calling (2003)

Past Tense - S1-E4

Corrected entry: When Tru goes to the workplace of the "groom" to try to get him to cancel the bachelor party, he thinks that his "fiancee" Robin sent her to spoil his fun. But why would he think that? We found out later that Robin dumped him three months ago and there is no wedding at all. I'm sure Robin is pretty far from caring whether or not he has a bachelor party.

DavidK93

Correction: He has to put up the act that he's still getting married, so what he says is basically BS, but it's still necessary for his plan to work.

Tru Calling (2003)

Past Tense - S1-E4

Corrected entry: How did John expect to get away with killing the other five men? He had made the plans for the party and booked the hotel room himself, so even if he disposed of the poisoned ice after the other guys died, his guilt would have been obvious, as the only survivor.

DavidK93

Correction: The poison was said to be untraceable, and with no motive (nobody else knew about the girl), it would all be circumstantial.

No Right Way - S2-E6

Corrected entry: Bridget and Ceri have separate bedrooms the first time it shows the hallway with their rooms; then the second and final time it shows them in the setting of their bedrooms, they both share a room (which they do in every other episode/most other episodes).

Correction: They share a bedroom. Bridgette is in the room, while Kerry is in the restroom. This is quite obvious when Kerry opens the door and you can clearly see the shower curtains.

Knever

Corrected entry: When Ash and co. arrive on Shamouti Island, Melody doesn't seem to know who Misty is, hence her asking if she was Ash's girlfriend. Five seconds later, she calls Misty by her name. Yes, Misty is a Gym Leader and she would be famous, but Melody didn't know who Misty was a few moments ago, so this doesn't fly.

Brad

Correction: Even if you know who someone is, that doesn't mean you know everything about them. How else could she have known that they weren't a couple without asking?

Knever

She did ask if Misty was his girlfriend. She did not know if they were a couple or not. She also asked if she was Ash's sister, so it's clear she didn't know who Misty was, but suddenly knew her name.

Corrected entry: When John and the Terminator arrive at Dyson's house following the shooting, John calls Danny, Dyson's son, by his name and tells him to show him his room. But Danny's name has not been spoken anywhere John could have heard it. (01:36:40)

mightymick

Correction: Sarah has taught John many things that most kids wouldn't know at that age. The T-800 says that he has information on Dyson's family since he was a major factor in the creation of Skynet. We don't see how and when they obtain his address, but they obviously do so off screen, so we can assume they learned Danny's name at that time as well.

Knever

Corrected entry: After the train crash Wendy looks back at all the people that died, look at the left-middle portion of the screen you can see a man breathing and move his lip as if he was talking.

Jeffy

Correction: He could very well have been trying to moan, since he was obviously not dead, just like Wendy.

Knever

Corrected entry: At the tricentennial, Wendy, Kevin and Julie are right in front of Julie's friend that gets speared resulting in them being spattered with blood; but when they are talking about Ian causing Wendy's death, they have no blood on them or their clothes.

EMTurbo

Correction: Kevin had already left to check on the horse, so only Wendy and Julie were splattered with blood. Throughout the scene, the blood can clearly be seen on both their clothes and their faces.

They Live (1988)

Corrected entry: When the guards at Cable 54 ask, "do you have your authorization cards?" Nada and Frank blow them away. Nada drags the traitor over by his goatee then taps on the glass and says, "it's soundproof". This would have already been established as nobody on the other side of the window reacted to the gunshots. (01:22:50)

Correction: Just because something's obvious does not mean it's a mistake for someone to point it out. It's like someone saying, "You got shot." when someone clearly has been shot.

Social Psychology - S1-E4

Corrected entry: In the final scene, when the camera pans from Vaughn's group to follow Jeff, the statue of Luis Guzman can be seen in the background, despite not being revealed until the following episode.

Correction: The statue existed at that point in time. The absence of a cover on it does not make it a mistake.
