Starship Troopers (1997)

Corrected entry: When Private Ace Levy gets the knife thrown through his hand, look at the angle of it. The knife's at a slight angle, but when he pulls his hand away the hole left in the wall is perfectly vertical. (00:28:55)

Correction: There's no visible hole in the wall; only blood.

Starship Troopers (1997)

Corrected entry: In the punishment scene, Zim puts the coiled piece of leather into Rico's mouth - the leather looks like a backwards '9'. The angle switches to the reverse view and the lather is reversed - it should have the cross section like a '9' but it is still backwards. (00:43:10)

jle

Correction: There was enough time in between the shots for him to adjust it in his mouth.

Starship Troopers (1997)

Corrected entry: After they attempt to rescue the reporter during the first battle, Rico shouts to the others to go. Watch behind Rico. Apparently, the stuntman in the background is supposed to react as if he got impaled by a Warrior Bug. The Special Effects Department must have decided not to add the Warrior Bug after all. (01:05:40)

Correction: After closely watching the scene, the soldier simply trips and falls to the ground. He doesn't act at all like he's being attacked.

Fight Club (1999)

Corrected entry: When Ed Norton is beating the crap out of beautiful Angelface, he makes him bleed a lot, and his whole face is covered in blood. But when Ed Norton walks away, he nudges another guy out of the way, and you can see his hand in the bit of light. If you look closely at his hand, there is no blood anywhere.

Correction: What is shown is the left side of his left hand. If you pay attention to the fight, he uses his right hand mostly. It's plausible that there could be no blood on the part of the hand that was shown.

Fight Club (1999)

Corrected entry: During the scene where the boss finds Norton's rules, before Norton gets up to talk about stalking the office with a machine gun, look at the cigarette smoke coming from an ash tray behind him. It appears, then suddenly disappears. (01:04:45)

Correction: The smoke is visible in every instance in which it is present. The camera moves into space in which it wouldn't go. Even so, smoke like that drifts and is not consistent.

Fight Club (1999)

Corrected entry: When Ed Norton's character is on the toilet ordering stuff from Furni, he tosses the magazine down with the cover facing up. If you pay close attention while he's holding it, you can clearly see the title printed in big letters. However, when it lands on the table, the cover is different - it's managed to flip itself over in midair and has landed face down. (00:04:50)

Correction: He simply closed it from the other side.

Joe Dirt (2001)

Corrected entry: When Joe stands on his parents' porch that has been condemned, there is a brand new high pressure sodium light that's working, and not even dirty.

Correction: There is not enough detail shown to determine something like that, but there's more than enough detail to see that it's in no way "brand new".

Joe Dirt (2001)

Corrected entry: When the Boeing bomb falls from the sky it's on fire. That would only happen if it fell from space, Not from an airplane at 36,000 ft. (00:09:10)

Correction: It's part of a story being told by Joe. He embellishes things like that to make the story more interesting. "A flaming fireball came crashing down" sounds much better than "A big ball came crashing down."

Joe Dirt (2001)

Corrected entry: When Joe is stepping back for the second time, there's no roman candle in his hand. Then when he starts to fall, the roman candle flies out of his hand. (00:32:50)

Correction: It's a little hard to see, but he slowly pulls it out of his front left pocket before the shot changes.

Corrected entry: The license plate of the time machine is spinning on the road in the middle of the fire tracks - further down the track than where Doc and Marty stand. But the car (and therefore the license plate) was never there. It had already 'jumped'. Otherwise the license plate had to pass through Marty.

Jacob La Cour

Correction: Having just watched the scene in question, I can confirm that that is incorrect. It may be confusing because they turn their bodies to look at where the car would have been. They then turn back forward to the last place that they saw the car which is what Marty was then focusing on. After it shows the plate spinning, the next shot shows Marty and Doc facing the camera, and also the plate.

Corrected entry: Near the end of the movie Howie dresses up in a Turbo Man costume, with real working discs shooting out of his arms, and a real working jetpack loaded with fuel on his back. It seems unnecessarily extravagant for a costume, unless the real Turbo Man actor was supposed to do some kind of a stunt as part of the show - but that would have been very dangerous in a public place with no wires or safety net.

Correction: Just because it would have been dangerous doesn't mean that it couldn't have happened. The people running the show would obviously have prepped all of the performers enough to think that it was safe enough. Also, of course he "was supposed to do some kind of a stunt as part of the show", the commentators even announced it.

Knever

You missed the part where it's said the original actor was severely injured during rehearsal "You should know the doctor said Pete actually showed some brain activity this morning." They were expecting a fill in who for any number of reasons was running late or didn't show. This also appears to be the main show area where the special acts happened. There could have been safety measures in place for the regular actors that Howard and Marlon didn't know about.

The Sandlot (1993)

Corrected entry: How can Benny fit a brand new hat and a baseball glove in his back pocket? This is shown in one of the first scenes in the movie, when Benny gives smalls a glove and a hat.

Correction: First of all, the ninth scene in the movie is hardly "one of the first." Second, Smalls is already wearing the glove, Benny only takes the cap from his back pocket, which is visibly folded when he hands it to Smalls. Even if it wasn't old and worn, you can still fit a brand new baseball cap in the back pocket of a pair of jeans.

Corrected entry: On the plane, Topper uses his knife to spear a pop-can and uses the knife as a straw. It's obvious that he spears one type of can, but in the shot when he picks it up the can looks different.

Correction: I don't see how anybody could come to this conclusion. There's only one can.

Knever

Corrected entry: Topper stops the kickboxer's flying kick, the latter falls down, and the floorboards shake ominously - probably foam fakes to soften the landing.

Correction: They were fighting in a barn. The boards were just loose.

Knever

Corrected entry: When Benson and his two divers pass beneath the Iraqi patrol boat and the President blows off some 'pressure', the bubbles rise up just before the shot where 'it happens'.

Correction: Those are bubbles of carbon dioxide exuding from their SCUBA suits.

Knever

Corrected entry: When Topper leads the rescue team into the prison compound, he uses a wire cutter attachment at the end of his knife to cut the fence. The cutters come out and a snipping noise is heard as if the fence is cut, but the fence is not cut and the cutters just bounce off the wire.

Correction: Nothing of the sort happens. It may be a little hard to see, but it is cut as told by a white line where it was severed by the knife.

The Sandlot (1993)

Corrected entry: Towards the end of the movie when Benny is playing ball with his teammates, he hits the ball out to the field. Timmy uses his left hand to catch the ball, but in the next scene you see Timmy using his right hand to catch.

Correction: He's ambidextrous. It's not a mistake to be able to use both hands like that.

Knever

Corrected entry: In the scene where Greg is getting acquainted with Pam's parents, Jack asks him what kind of car he's driving, and Greg tells him it's a Taurus. However, minutes before, as they drove in, you could see the back of the car and it was clearly a Ford Contour, not a Taurus.

Correction: Actually he is driving a Ford Taurus. While Greg doesn't know that much about cars, from someone that does, there is a clear difference between the Taurus and the Contour.

Correction: Greg may not know much about cars. He could have not been paying much attention to the make and model of the car (evident since he didn't even pick the colour) when it was rented.

Knever

Corrected entry: Robert DeNiro is explaining that the cameras in the teddy bear and the decorative artifact are motion-activated. Shortly after, Ben Stiller waves his hand in front of the bear, which should have activated the camera. When they cut to DeNiro again, the image on the TV screen should've been from the bear camera, but wasn't. DeNiro's position in the next shot suggests he had been still at the time, and wouldn't have set off the other camera. (00:17:05)

Correction: Although they are motion-sensitive, they're not perfect. They might not have picked up a reading, or they could simply be on a delay/pre-delay.

Knever

Correction: It's not bloody, it's just very red. Just jumped and nearly caught on the planks with his hands. That impact is enough to turn his hands red.
