Corrected entry: After the people leave the library, you never see the French lady that Laura saved. Then, at the end, she is asleep on the couch when Jack comes into the room.

AdamG

Correction: Putting aside that in movies unseen doesn't mean not present, she is seen multiple times: when they first walk into the fireplace room; in the scene where the other characters discuss the Gutenberg bible; sleeping with her son the night Sam suspects Laura has a fever; then the next morning when Laura is diagnosed with blood poisoning; she's also smack dab in front of the fireplace when Sam bursts into the room with the chairs to make snowshoes; and finally when they're throwing more books into the fire when the storm's eye hits.

Rudy (1993)

Corrected entry: In the finale game at the end of the movie when Rudy finally gets to play, the scoreboard shows Notre Dame listed first (on the left) with Georgia Tech second, on the right. The visiting team is always listed first in any sport, so the scoreboard shows they should be playing at Georgia Tech. (This was from a DVD viewing.)

Amazing_G

Correction: This is certainly not true for "any sport" and untrue for football, specifically. One only has to do a Google image search for "Notre Dame scoreboard" to see that ND is displayed on the left side of the scoreboard as depicted in the movie.

Speed (1994)

Corrected entry: The scene is outside the bomber's home. Harry and the other police are running toward it. In the background, a plane is seen taking off. This is at the same time the bus is on the runway and the runway is supposed to be cleared.

jerdypie

Correction: The runway was shut down, but not the airport. LAX has four runways, planes were simply redirected to one of the other three.

JC Fernandez

Corrected entry: After Marty gets a crack shot on wild gunman, the screen is black. But when you see the arcade machine, just before Marty Jr. says, "Griff, guys, hey," you see the screen is on.

DeathGawd

Correction: There are twenty seconds between the two shots in question. The 30+-year-old machine could simply have been resetting itself after Marty had scored his "crack shot."

JC Fernandez

Corrected entry: What are all these German soldiers doing in British controlled Egypt prior to World War II. Appeasement aside, I think that the British might be a little worried about a large group of armed Germans being in a League of Nations mandated British Protectorate!

Correction: Egypt was declared an independent nation in 1922 and largely remained neutral. True, the British had a military base in Cairo to protect the Suez Canal as a result of the Anglo-Egyptian Treaty of 1936. But that wasn't ratified until December of that year. The film probably takes place before that.

Robocop (1987)

Corrected entry: When Robocop is first revealed, he is exactly as tall as Bob Morton (he can look directly in his eyes as we see it from Robocop's view). When Robocop is in the police station for the first time (walking in the police station lobby, then facing Bob Morton) he is a head taller than Morton. In the shooting range, he is about 7 centimetres shorter than he was in the lobby. And so on through the entire film.

Correction: Differing camera angles. Robocop simply appears much taller than he is when he walks into the police station because the camera is looking up at them from slightly below. Furthermore, it's impossible to ascertain a negligible distance like seven centimeters from casual observation. Given outside of action sequences he's always played by Peter Weller in varying degrees of costume, there's no reason why his height should change anyway.

Robocop (1987)

Corrected entry: When Robocop tries to arrest Dick Jones in the OCP tower, he goes in with his pistol holstered, yet when Robocop tries to shoot Jones, there's no sound effect to show he unholstered the pistol. The scene I am referring to is when Robocop and Jones are alone in Jones' office, not the end of the movie.

Correction: Not true. The sound effect can be faintly heard just before the gun is revealed. It's just masked by the score, Murphy's grunts and other background noise.

Poltergeist (1982)

Corrected entry: In the scene where the kitchen chairs get rearranged on the table, just when Diane bends down to grab a rag and a bottle, there's obvious movement reflected in the chrome waffle-iron, above her head.

Correction: Of course there's movement reflected, the kitchen chairs are rearranging behind her.

JC Fernandez

Corrected entry: In the beginning of the movie when Jamal is being shocked, he is being shocked by a single 12 volt car battery. 12 volts isn't enough to penetrate the skin and do any damage, you need closer to 30 volts and above.

Correction: Car batteries have been used as torture devices worldwide. It's not the number of volts, it's the amps. Stun guns work with just a 9v battery.

JC Fernandez

Corrected entry: At the end of the movie when Marty's alarm goes off, it is 10:27 am. His brother and sister are at the dining room table eating breakfast. They are both dressed in business attire. It doesn't make sense that two business persons would be eating breakfast at home at 10:30am.

Correction: It's also Saturday. Dave may have had a weekend business meeting, so it wouldn't have required him to come in at his regular time.

The Dark Knight (2008)

Corrected entry: Just after the Joker blows up Gotham General Hospital he climbs into the back of a school bus. If you look at the fourth window from the left, on the bus, you can see a camera used to film a close up of the Joker. The footage from this camera can be seen in the Special Features on Disc 2.

Mike

Correction: This could also be Mike Engel's cameraman. Just before the hospital blows up, the GCN newsmen climb aboard the very same bus (which is how the Joker is holding them hostage later).

Live and Let Die (1973)

Correction: That's because he's not aiming for the gun barrel (the location of the camera); he's aiming for the man holding the gun.

JC Fernandez

Corrected entry: Near the end of the film when Edward is carving ice sculptures in his castle, the camera pans close to one of them, making it very obvious that it is made of hollow clear plastic. The use of a fan (though not actually visible) to blow the "ice shavings" out the window is also quite evident. (01:35:05)

Correction: You can't tell whether the blocks are made of ice or clear plastic solely by its appearance. As for the snow effect, the story is a fairy tale and doesn't conform to reality (Edward makes enough snow to blanket the town). Since as you state, the fan isn't visible, it's not a mistake.

JC Fernandez

Corrected entry: In the letter the Doc sends to Marty in 1955 telling him where to find the time machine and telling him not to come back to 1885 to rescue him, he says he has met a wonderful woman and is thinking of settling down with her. When Marty goes back to 1885 the day after the letter was sent, the Doc has not met Clara yet and does not appear to have any other female attachments.

Correction: Doc does talk about settling down in the era, but makes no mention of meeting a woman in his letter.

Shrek 3 (2007)

Corrected entry: There is one scene towards the end where the sun can be interpreted as coming from the front right (shadows top left to bottom right)(it's a long-distance shot of Far Far Away either as the women or the animals approach). However at the top left you can see a full moon - it should be crescent.

Correction: That's not a full moon, it's a new moon. Though the sun shines on the back side of the moon, the light reflected off the Earth illuminates it slightly so it's often visible during the day.

Evolution - S3-E1

Corrected entry: About halfway through the episode, Wesley comes to the realization that his nanites are causing the malfunctions on the ship, because they escaped from the lab. Shouldn't he at least have know that the nanites had escaped, when he awoke at the beginning of the episode and found that the container had been left open? He might not have known they would become destructive, but he would have known they had escaped.

wizard_of_gore

Correction: He knew they had escaped the container, not the lab. According to his dialogue with Guinan, the nanites were supposed to be confined to the lab.

Shrek 3 (2007)

Corrected entry: In the scene where Snow White is singing, you can tell the song she is singing was obviously recorded long before the movie was made.

Correction: What does this even mean? As an animated film, *everything* was recorded long before the sequences were animated.

JC Fernandez

Corrected entry: At the onset of the film, Doc and Marty discover Doc's grave from 1885 with the dedication by Clara Clayton on it. Now remember, this was before Marty had gone back to 1885 to meet Doc and further influence the happenings in that year, which included their chance meeting with Clara when she almost died. Even without Marty's influence in 1885, history of the film series up to that point said Clara went over the cliff and died. So therefore, it is inconceiveable that Clara could have lived to even meet Doc to put the dedication on his grave, as he died a few days after she would have.

Correction: You're forgetting that the mayor reminds Doc that he had volunteered at the town hall (before Marty's arrival) to meet the new schoolteacher at the station. So without Marty's intervention, Doc would have met her there and she wouldn't have died in the ravine. But since he *didn't* meet her at the station because of what Marty told him, history played out as originally fated and she lost control of the spooked horses.

Hercules (1997)

Corrected entry: Hercules is fighting the hydra, which had one head to begin with, but gains three more every time Hercules chops off one of them. Hercules chops off one of its heads six times, meaning the hydra should end up with just thirteen heads in the end, but when Hercules sees it with all of its heads, it has more than that.

Correction: Twice we see four heads appear and one time we see *five* necks rise. Given Hades' penchant for cheating and given that the Hydra's a creature of magic, its mutations don't have to be consistent.

Hercules (1997)

Corrected entry: When the Titans are marching off to Mt. Olympus, you can tell the tornado one is the last one in line. Moments later, the cyclops appears behind him.

Correction: Yes, you see the tornado last, but you also can't see anything past the tornado, and the Cyclops isn't anywhere in the shot. So the Cyclops was simply off-camera.

JC Fernandez

There is a very wide shot and looking behind the tornado, the Cyclops can not be seen, and the bottom of it is very thin; it's not until there's a close-up shot of all the Titans that you can't see behind it anymore.
