Corrected entry: When Marty shows Doc the flyer from 1985 about saving the clock tower, this gives them the time that the clock will be struck by lightning, 10:04pm on that coming Saturday (11/12/55). However, the main problem here is that the time is only given in hours and minutes, and since lightning moves at the speed of light, an entire lightning strike lasts only fractions of a second. Doc and Marty have no clue as to what second the lightning will strike during that minute, and it isn't given a thought. In reality this would cause a tremendous dilemma if the Delorean had to pass at a precise second. And since the clock on the tower lacked a second hand, they would need a sychronized watch to determine the second the strike occurs, even if they knew it. In the movie it is assumed the strike occurs at 10:04:00, which is fine, but for more realism they could've added a second hand to the clock to eliminate this plot hole. It would have been stuck in place as the other hands after the lightning strike.
Correction: A second-hand isn't necessary. The second within the minute that the lightning strike occured could have been been determined by an examination of the inner workings of the clock (which stopped functioning after the strike). Such a noteworthy piece of trivia would likely have been included in the Hill Valley Preservation Society's flier. In fact, Doc states as much - that according to the flier the clock is struck at precisely 10:04pm.
Even if they examined the insides of the clock and reported the precise second of the lightning strike in the flier (which is itself improbable), they would only know the time down to the nearest second (and that's assuming the clock tower kept perfect time). 88 miles per hour is about 129 feet per second-at that speed, even being off by a few milliseconds would cause the lightning to miss the DeLorean entirely.

Back to the Future Part II (1989)
Corrected entry: How did 2015 Biff know how to operate the time machine well enough to get himself back to see 1955 Biff? He learns about the existence of the time machine from an overheard conversation, which does not include any details of how to set the time circuits nor the requirement to accelerate the car to 88 mph in order to start the time jump.
Correction: This is a question, not a mistake. Given that the time circuits are not that complicated (it's a keypad with a display clearly marked DESTINATION) and that Biff also saw the time machine in use in 1985, it might not have taken him very long to figure out: 1. Punch in numbers and 2. Go fast. Not that he needed a short amount of time to figure out. This is a time machine, after all. He could have stolen the Delorean and then spent weeks figuring it out, with Doc and Marty none the wiser as long as he returned it to a time moments after he stole it. Not to mention that Doc may have left materials (like the videotape of the Delorean's test run from the first film) in the car that could have facilitated Biff's figuring it out.

Corrected entry: Even inside the ship, the water where the cast is swimming should be freezing cold, it having come from the surroundings of Mount Everest.
Correction: It was a tsunami that reached the peak of Everest, but its origin was not Everest or its surroundings. It came from the south and engulfed India first, which would make the water a lot warmer.

Corrected entry: When the ships leave Earth for Vulcan, we can see a whole string of them as they gain altitude in Earth's atmosphere to go to their respective starships. Starfleet is in San Francisco, but the transport/crew ships themselves are coming much further south and east than that. Also, when Nero targets Earth with his drill, we can see the Alaska panhandle in the upper right of the screen. However, his computer indicates that San Francisco is located much further southwest, near the Hawaiian Islands.
Correction: San Francisco is correctly placed. The shot is composed at an angle so the center of the screen is actually to the northwest (Note how the Aleutian Islands, which normally face southwest are more west-northwest.

Corrected entry: Why did the cast have the sense to pack everything for their trip in the woods, yet throughout the film, no-one bothers to include any means of communication, such as a mobile phone or more likely a pager?
Correction: This is a question, not a mistake. For starters, they were students and may not necessarily have had the money to splurge on a cell phone in 1994. also, a pager wouldn't have done them any good, as they only receive pages, they don't send them. Finally, like so many people, the students didn't expect to get lost in the woods, so they didn't prepare for every contingency. Not very smart (just as not bringing a weapon is arguably unwise) but not a mistake.

Corrected entry: When Buzz and Woody are flying, you see them eventually swoop under a power line. In scenes before and after that, it shows a bird's eye view of the neighborhood, and there is not a power line in sight. (01:14:01)
Correction: Putting aside that we never get a 360=degree view of Andy's neighborhood, they're chasing a moving vehicle that's no longer in the immediate neighborhood anyway.

Corrected entry: Diana manages to escape at the end by stealing a shuttlecraft. But how did she manage to get there, when most of the mothership (and certainly the landing bay) was contaminated with red dust? (01:18:00)
Correction: Good villains always have a secret escape plan. The motherships are HUGE, it's not beyond credibility to think there might be a secure escape route (with an equally secured shuttle) for the leadership.

Corrected entry: When the infiltration team is about to enter the school and has snipers take out the two terrorists on the roof, the snipers are using AMAC-1500 .50 calibre rifles. However, one of the terrorists shot lives long enough to pull the pin on a grenade. The issue here is that a man shot in the chest with a .50 can not survive - with those bullets he'd be lucky to not have his corpse torn in half.
Correction: True that .50 calibre weapons are extremely destructive. Untrue that a person could not survive, much less instantly die from the wound. There are several examples of soldiers surviving shots to the chest and abdomen by such a weapon.

Corrected entry: In the scene when Katie has a nightmare approximately 33 minutes into the movie, Katie wakes up, and the time is posted in the right corner of the "shot". When Micah picks up the camera the time disappears, and then reappears when he puts the camera back on the dresser.
Correction: The timecode isn't part of the camera's set-up. The idea is that it was put on the tape by someone after the fact.

Corrected entry: At the beginning of the film, when she first has come home and is questioning the camera, he says something about how now they will, hopefully, catch something on film that has been happening the past few nights. Later in the film, she's upset and states something about how this hasn't started until he got the camera. Later on yet, they make it known that she's had this "problem" since she was eight.
Correction: What she says is that the problem has escalated since he got the camera.

Corrected entry: The opening of the film is set in 1971 and when we see a young Kurt Russell (flipping off his brother), he looks to be about 6 or 7. The film then fast forwards 20 years later (1991) and Kurt Russell is looking all of his then 40 years. Certainly not someone in his mid to late 20's.
Correction: First of all, how someone looks is a matter of personal opinion, not a mistake. To me young Stephen (the older brother) looks to be 12, which is the age the character is credited as being. Older Stephen (Kurt Russell) is depicted as a disgruntled alcoholic, this plus the stress of the job could make him appear more hardened and "older" than his actual 32 years of age.

Corrected entry: When Samuel arrives at Cook County Hospital after learning that Kimble might be there, it is pitch black. In the next scene when he is questioning Dr. Eastman, it is broad daylight out.
Correction: It's a time cut, not a mistake. Gerard arrived at the hospital; likely spoke to either hospital administration and security; questioned doctors, nurses, patients, and hospital personnel; all of which takes time. Nothing about the scene between Gerard and Eastman suggests that it takes place moments after his arrival at the hospital. Dr. Eastman is wearing a jacket, suggesting it's the end of her shift; Gerard speaks to her as if she'd already been questioned by his people; and at no point does Gerard run out the door to try to locate Kimble who slipped out during his arrival.

Corrected entry: At the beginning of the movie, Barry is going down the stairs to look for the aliens. He is holding a flashlight, but in the next shot his hands are empty.
Correction: You may be mistaking the lightbeams on the walls and floor as coming from Barry, but it's the aliens. In fact, it's the appearance of the lights on the walls of the stairwell that prompts Barry to investigate downstairs. At no point do you see Barry carrying a flashlight.

Corrected entry: When Lightning McQueen is in the Radiator Springs court and hitting on Sally, he blinds her with his lights. Problem is he has no lights, as stated earlier in the film, "He has stickers".
Correction: He blinds her with his lightning bolt, not his faux headlights. He reflects the light coming in from the window behind the judge. It's his schtick, as also established earlier in the film.

Corrected entry: When Lightning is getting offered to be the new face of Dinoco, the head of Dinoco says "Hey Light, how about coming over here and talking to me for a minute." After he says that Lightning comes over and he's about 2 feet away from the head. But for the rest of the conversation, McQueen's much closer to him.
Correction: The second shots are from a much closer perspective and a slightly different angle. It's impossible to say whether the characters are actually closer together or just appear to be because of the changed perspective.
