Corrected entry: Throughout the movie, it is mentioned that Nero's drill prevents sensors and communication. It prevents the Enterprise (and other Starfleet ships) from detecting Nero's ship at Vulcan and later prevents them from contacting Earth to call for reinforcements. However, when the Enterprise is en route to Vulcan, during his announcement to the crew, Chekov says that they received a distress call from Vulcan saying that they were experiencing extreme seismic activity (which we later learn is caused by the drill) which would have been impossible if communications were 'jammed' by the drilling.
Correction: The jamming may have been "line of sight." A communication station on the side of planet *opposite* Nero's ship would be able to send a distress signal and report seismic activity of unknown origin.

Scream 4 (2011)
Corrected entry: If you have watched the rest of the Scream films you will know that Dewey was stabbed in the back in the first film which caused him to have a very noticeable limp during the rest of the original trilogy. In this film he walks completely normally. Even with modern day treatments he'd still have a little limp.
Correction: Whether or not a person can recover from a noticeable limp depends on the specific injury. All we know is that Dewey suffered a knife wound. Even a specialist in neurology would be incapable of determining the extent of the injury based on that little information. And this ignores that there are plenty of stories of "miraculous" recoveries, despite everything medical experts believe to be true.
The original Williamson script (which was revised anyway) does address it; "His limp is nearly nonexistent. Years of physical therapy", but as the entry correctly says, we don't have even a little limp. In the fifth Scream he is limping again. I am sure you could argue that he let himself go and his physical shape got worse and the limp relapsed, however there are so many inconsistencies throughout the saga about his unrealistic limp and lame arm that I don't think this should be corrected.

Star Trek (2009)
Corrected entry: When Captain Pike is attempting to convince Kirk to join Starfleet in the bar, he wrongly says that the Federation is a humanitarian and peace keeping armada. Starfleet is the armada, the Federation is the inter-planetary government.
Correction: We shouldn't expect Pike to give a comprehensive and detailed definition of Starfleet and the Federation (and the distinctions between the two) in that particular scene. He wasn't holding an academic lecture on the nature and purpose of the Federation/Starfleet. Pike wanted to get Kirk join Starfleet. So yes, Pike was simplifying things a bit. Not to mention that The Original Series was never spot-on and terribly well-defined at times concerning the purposes and missions of either the Federation or Starfleet. So this confusion/ambiguity fits in with how we've seen the era depicted in the past.

Superman II (1980)
Corrected entry: Shortly after landing on Earth Ursa picks up a snake which bites her. In obvious pain (since she has never seen a snake and therefore would not expect a snakebite to hurt) - she throws the snake to the ground and lights it on fire with her eyes. However, once on Earth Ursa has the same powers as Superman and since a snake could not hurt Superman, why can it hurt her?
Correction: Kryptonians derive their power from the rays of our yellow sun and Ursa hasn't been on Earth for very long. While certainly more powerful than an ordinary human, she hasn't quite reached full invulnerability at this point.

Corrected entry: Dr. Fredrichs says that whatever is haunting them feeds off negative energy, to which Micah replies "Oh, well maybe we shouldn't let your mother come over any more." But both of Katie's parents are dead, as seen in Paranormal Activity 3.
Correction: Completely incorrect. Katie specifically tells Dr. Fredrichs that "no one got hurt" in the house fire.

Back to the Future (1985)
Corrected entry: In the original film Doc rips up Marty's letter and then sellotapes it back together at some point, however at the end of the second film Doc faints, so he wouldn't have picked up the letter and should be dead.
Correction: Doc never picks up the letter because he never let it go in the first place. He rips it up and *puts it in his pocket*. Presumably the pieces are still in the pocket when he faints and subsequently wakes up in his home.

The Truman Show (1998)
Corrected entry: The shots of Truman's early life show him as a fetus on day 1, and then toddling on a beach on day 125. Even if day 1 had been the day of his birth, which, going by the development of the fetus, it isn't, he would only have been about 4 months old in the latter shot. Babies generally don't start walking until around the age of 8 to 12 months.
Correction: There are no captions on the mentioned scenes, and no such captions reading Day 1 or Day 125 exist in the film.

Star Wars: Episode VI - Return of the Jedi (1983)
Corrected entry: This mistake actually spans between The Empire Strikes Back and The Return of the Jedi. When Han Solo is frozen in carbonite he is wearing an untucked, button down shirt. When Leia releases him from the carbonite in Jabba's Palace he is wearing a tucked in, double breasted shirt.
Correction: Han is wearing the same shirt as in Empire. The shirt is untucked on his left side. When he's released from the carbonite, the shot of him on the floor is from his right side (shirt tucked in). But when Leia helps him up, you can see the shirt is untucked on the other side. Star Wars: Episode VI - Return of the Jedi (1983)
Corrected entry: In the French version of the film, when Boussh (Leia disguised) takes Chewbacca to Jabba's palace, Jabba says something and the subtitles reads "Ou l'a eu enfin le puissant Chewbacca". Ou means where. It should be written on (we).
Correction: Subtitles for foreign releases are typically provided by an outside company, separate from the filmmakers, so shouldn't qualify as a true movie mistake. In fact, the French subtitles on the American DVD reads: "Nous avons enfin l'imposant Chewbacca."
Corrected entry: When Luke is sucked out of the shattered window, more of the window is broken than in the previous shot of the window. If something hit the window and broke it in the meantime, we should have heard it.
Correction: It's a broken window. Pieces could have dislodged and broke off (off-camera) by the force of the wind. We wouldn't have necessarily heard it over the roar of air rushing into the shaft.

Back to the Future (1985)
Corrected entry: After Marty reunites his parents, he and his siblings all reappear in the photo and all is well. However, in order for Marty and his brother and sister to exist again, it would mean that Marty's parents would have to have sex at the exact same moment all three times to conceive them. Even if they were a few seconds off, it wouldn't be the exact same three kids. Similar maybe, but not exact. Now that George is more successful, he will be doing many things differently in his life so the chances of him and Lorraine having sex at the exact same millisecond all three times to have those exact three kids is beyond astronomical.
Correction: This is purely speculative. There is no way anyone (other than the filmmakers) can say what "should" have happened in the altered timeline. The odds may be astronomical, but the odds are certainly better than the odds of a plutonium-powered, time-travelling Delorean being invented.

Corrected entry: Before the T-Rex chases Ellie, Robert and Malcolm in the jeep, we see Ellie get in the passenger side of the jeep, and Robert get in the driver's side. Over the course of the chase scene, Robert and Ellie switch seats.
Correction: Where exactly? On my version of the movie, Muldoon is always the one driving the Jeep.

Corrected entry: At the beginning when the insurance man says "I represent the investors, if they aren't satisfied, I'm not satisfied." He meant to say "I represent the investors, if I'm not satisfied, they aren't satisfied." He is the eyes and ears representing the investors, he has to be the one satisfied that their money is not being wasted.
Correction: First of all, he's not an insurance man, he's a lawyer. Second, it would help to quote the actual line: "In 48 hours if they're not convinced, I'm not convinced." Finally, the "they" he's referring to aren't the investors but the scientists that have been brought along to confirm the stability of the park. Makes a difference, no?

Corrected entry: In the scene where Gennaro is about to be eaten, when the T.Rex knocks over the bathroom walls, you can see that the bathroom tissue dispensers on the wall behind Gennaro are painted images on the wall and not actual dispensers. It is clear once the wall has fallen that the dispensers have no depth and are two dimensional images. (01:02:00 - 01:03:00)
Correction: In actuality, the collapsing walls don't exist at all, but are CGI. But as to your specific mistake: Toilet tissue is not usually placed behind the toilet seat. In fact, you see the real tissue dispenser by Genarro's knee just before the walls collapse. The dispensers in the back are for the toilet seat covers, which are not very thick, hence the lack of depth.

Corrected entry: When older Lorraine is talking about when she first met Marty's dad, the words VODKA on the vodka bottle are reversed therefore the shot was flipped.
Correction: "VODKA" (at the bottom of the label) is not spelled backwards. I think you're confusing it with the brand of vodka, POPOV. Only the last few letters are visible in the shot. ("-OV").

Star Trek: Voyager (1995)
Corrected entry: At the beginning of the episode, the "Friendship 1" probe does a flyby. On it, you see Federation and Starfleet markings. During the briefing after the credits, Tuvok states that the probe was launched 4 years after Zephram Cochrane's first warp flight. Cochrane's warp flight was in 2063 and the probe was launched in 2067 The United Federation of Planets didn't exist until 2161, and even though there was techinically a Starfleet, it's well known that it didn't adopt the "arrowhead" (aka "Delta) style symbol until the 2240's.
Correction: Fan speculation and trivia generated in other media (novels, comics, blueprints, guides, etc) cannot be used to gauge a mistake. Mistakes only count if they contradict what was established in a previous film or television episode. And the date of origin of the arrowhead insignia has never been stated in any.

Corrected entry: After their session near the beginning of the movie, Carol Anne tells Dr. Seaton that she misses her parents and even her brother. Did she forget she also has an older sister?
Correction: This is a question, not a mistake. Dana could be estranged from the family (as stated in the novelisation), or Carol Ann simply doesn't miss her.

Correction: The film is set in 1938, during which Iskenderun was part of the Republic of Hatay. Hatay did not join Turkey until the following year. Regardless, the existence of laws doesn't mean that people don't break them.
