Continuity mistake: When the woman is "sucked" into the floor of the bathroom, at one point she accidentally pulls a faucet from a sink next to her, causing water to begin spraying upwards and raining down. Problem is, less than two seconds later, she's already completely soaked and we see a closeup shot of her kicking her feet, and there's already a large volume of water on the floor. Far too much water for how short a period of time it's been coming out of the faucet.

Deep Rising (1998)
Suggested correction: 1st of all, she's sucked through the toilet, not the floor. 2nd of all, a creature coming through the toilet will produce a lot of toilet water all over the place.
The first point is debatable - we never see where she gets sucked through, so it's unclear. As for the second point, I just watched the scene to check, and she is literally soaked instantly between shots, and the water on the floor also appears almost instantly. The argument that the water came from the toilet doesn't explain how she is suddenly soaked between cuts or how so much water is already on the floor in the literal 1/24th of a second between cuts. They obviously cut the scene quickly and frantically to make it intense, and it created a minor continuity mistake where there is suddenly a lot more water, and she's much wetter. The original mistake is correct.
She sitting on the toilet. She hears the creature and looks directly beneath her. She stands half an inch before she's grabbed. Therefore, it easily stands she got pulled into the toilet. As for the water, I know a plumber who says something big that shoots up from the toilet like that can cause serious water damage. Therefore, the original correction is correct.
Whether she gets sucked through the toilet or floor frankly doesn't matter for the mistake, which is that she's instantly soaked. And I've done plumbing before too. It's literally impossible for that much water to appear in 1/24th of a second. (Which is the time between cuts, since film is 24fps.) Lemme explain it this way - it takes 1/3 of a second to blink your eye. (Equal to roughly 8 fames of film.) You're telling me that that much water could instantly appear in 1/8 the time it takes to blink your eye? That is literally impossible. If your plumber tries to tell you that your bathroom can suddenly be full of water in 1/24 of a second... you need a new plumber.
You may have done plumbing, but I doubt you ever had a giant sea creature come up from beneath the toilet either. Without knowing the situation of these creatures who caused a giant hole in tons of steel that the ship is, then all our answers are just speculation.
The fundamental problem is, it's literally impossible for that much water to have appeared that quickly and for someone to instantly be soaked in 1/24 of a second. It has nothing to do with giant sea creatures... water still has to obey the basic laws of physics. It can't just magically appear in the 1/24 of a second between frames.

Con Air (1997)
Continuity mistake: When the Poe family is reunited, Trisha can be seen holding on to Casey in the close-up. When Casey hugs Cameron in the wide shot, Trisha is not holding her.
Suggested correction: She pulled away from her mom and went to her dad.

Elf (2003)
Plot hole: Throughout the film we see several characters talk about how there's no Christmas spirit and how nobody believes in Santa anymore. If, in this universe at least, Santa does exist, it's almost impossible for people to think this. If the parents deliver the presents then how do they explain the excess gifts that Santa brings? We know that Michael is on the nice list because Santa shows him towards the end, so Michael must get presents from Santa. There is no way that Walter can't believe in Santa then because Michael gets gifts from him every year.
Suggested correction: Emily and Walter probably just thought each present Michael got from Santa was from the other parent. I'm not sure if Walter got him presents or not but you can see that Emily did as she's seen walking home with presents when she's on the phone with Walter.
That is highly unlikely. When my daughter was "believing in Santa" age, my wife and I always talked about what we were getting her, so we didn't duplicate. Plus that theory wouldn't work for single parents.
It is very likely because it's obvious Walter is not in the Christmas spirit like his wife and Michael are. Plus it's obvious Walter is not focused on his family at the beginning of the movie so it's safe to assume the original submission is correct.

Elf (2003)
Other mistake: When Buddy's brother is reading Santa's list he reads the newscaster's wish he looks and mutters something about letters meaning they were in alphabetical order. However when he is saying random names he does not turn the page and the names are not in alphabetical order. (01:23:00)
Suggested correction: After he says each name, it cuts to that person and their reaction. Most of which was done without going back to Michael. Therefore, we can't say he didn't turn the pages.

Hellraiser III: Hell on Earth (1992)
Deliberate mistake: Joey finds Channard's photo of Capt. Elliot Spencer in the closed art gallery but Kirsty stole that photo and gave it to Pinhead in the second film, where it was left on the floor of Hell. Also, all the sketches of the box were amongst the things from Channard's institute but those pictures and the other similar ones were from Dr. Channard's home collection. They were never kept at the institute.
Suggested correction: It was actually in a room in the institute. Not hell. Easy enough to retrieve it.

Tombstone (1993)
Factual error: Three of the Earp brothers arrived in Tombstone on December 1, 1879. They served as lawmen during 1880/81 and fought the Cowboys in the famous gunfight on October 26, 1881, They left the area in April 1882. In the movie the Earps arrive in Tombstone in 1881 and ride past Boot Hill Cemetery. The tombstone displaying one of the most famous epitaph ever written is visible: "Here lies Lester Moore, Four slugs from a .44, No Les, No more." The problem is that Lester Moore wasn't killed until 1884. So it's impossible for his tombstone and famous epitaph to be in Boot Hill when the Earps arrived.
Suggested correction: Fact is nobody knows who Lester Moore is. They believe he was a mail clerk who was shot and killed over a dispute over a package, but they cannot prove it. There is no date on the tombstone, plus the fact that there was never anyone by that name ever killed in the Arizona territory makes this tombstone even more mysterious.

Sister Act 2: Back in the Habit (1993)
Continuity mistake: When Father Thomas tells the Sisters that Delores is a Las Vegas show girl, Sister Mary Robert puts her hands up to her face, but in the next shot she has her hands down by her side.
Suggested correction: The camera cuts back to Father Thomas before it goes back to Mary Roberts. Plenty of time to lower her hands.
No it doesn't. When he says she's a show girl and it cuts to two Sisters, Mary Roberts has her hands up. The next shot is of all four of them and her hands are down.

Porky's Revenge (1985)
Other mistake: After Wendy reads the fake note she wrote from 'Snookie' to 'Bubbles' she tells the guys that it's really Peewee who is being set up to meet at the motel with Ballbreaker (Bubbles). Yet it's Tommy who shows up at the door.
Suggested correction: That's because Tommy conned PeeWee into giving him the candy and flowers, then sent him back to his room for something else in place of those. Then he ran of, got into his vehicle, and sped away. That's why when PeeWee showed up, and they asked who was in the room, he said "Tommy" as he realised Tommy duped him.

Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets (2002)
Corrected entry: In the scene when Harry first comes to the burrow, there is a shot where Harry is examining the clock. It has Mr. Weasley at quittich, but later on he comes home from work. Also, it says Mrs. Weasley and Ginny are in the garden, but later on Ginny comes down from upstairs. Persy is said to be in the garden. (00:11:15)
Correction: In the close-up of the Burrow's clock, the hands show Ginny, Percy and Molly in the garden, and Arthur's hand points to Quidditch. BUT, it isn't until "later on", when the boys have been seated for breakfast, that we see Ginny come downstairs and Arthur come home. We don't have to see every action on screen, to draw logical conclusions. Just as Harry walks away towards the knitting needles, the clock hands would simply change showing Molly AND Ginny 'home' - but we just don't see it. Four shots later Molly appears, so we know it happened. Coming in from the garden, Ginny would have used the back steps to go straight upstairs (therefore not know Harry is in their house), before her mother confronts the boys about their overnight excursion, so later on, when the boys are seated at the kitchen table, Ginny comes down to ask about her jumper. Now regarding Arthur, when he walks in he states that there were nine raids at work that day, so obviously yes, he was at work. But, the hand pointed to Quidditch EARLIER because he could have been at/near a Quidditch practice/match for the last of those raids for "misuse of Muggle artifacts" and stayed a bit to watch a game, or after work he simply apparated to some Quidditch practice/match going on, just before heading home. There is no mistake.
Correction: The correction is wrong because immediately after seeing the clock, Mrs. Weasley came was seen standing on the landing of the stairs, in her pyjamas. Nowhere near the garden.

National Lampoon's Vacation (1983)
Plot hole: When the Griswolds are at Wally World, supposedly the only people there are the guards. Who operates the rides for them?
Suggested correction: The guards also knew how to operate the rides.
Original mistake is correct. There were only 2 guards. 1 they kidnapped. The other they left lying like a dog until he could call the police. Therefore, there was nobody to operate the rides. Besides amusement parks don't train security to operate the rides.

Friday the 13th Part VIII: Jason Takes Manhattan (1989)
Factual error: The amount of people on the ship is very unrealistic. Although the low number of people is to benefit the plot, there should have been cooks, waiters, deckhands, boiler room engineers, cleaners etc. (00:40:00)
Suggested correction: Well there was a deckhand and boiler room workers. As for cooks, etc, they were on a class trip taking no more than a few hours. They didn't need all that.

Jason Goes to Hell: The Final Friday (1993)
Corrected entry: It is never explained how Jason appears at the beginning of the film in his normal hulking form since the end of the previous film showed him being washed away from toxic waste in the sewers of New York City and turning into a little boy.
Correction: The boy was another of Rennie's hallucinations. Jason awoke presumably after the toxic waste dried out the next day and retrieved his slightly melted mask then made his way back to Crystal Lake. The mask he has belonged to Jim Miller, who he took the mask from in part 8, as his other one was destroyed by Tina Shepard in part 7. Why there was an axe mark in Jim Miller's mask is anyone's guess. Probably authenticity, as it was national news that Jason Voorhees wore a hockey mask. Also, the writer/director of Friday the 13th Part VIII: Jason Takes Manhattan has stated on DVD documentaries and in books that he wanted to portray Jason Voorhees as more of a supernatural spiritual entity rather then just a walking corpse. Rennie's "visions" were more than just her own hallucinations because her dog saw one of them earlier on in the film.
Correction: This movie was made as if the previous movie didn't exist. Just ignored it altogether.

Jason Goes to Hell: The Final Friday (1993)
Continuity mistake: When Debbie is in the tent with her boyfriend, she gets a condom out of the wrapper and throws it aside, still in the tent. Later on, the wrapper is outside the tent, because we see Jason step on it.
Suggested correction: We see her toss it. Don't see where it landed. Could have easily gone out the tent flap.

Jason Goes to Hell: The Final Friday (1993)
Other mistake: Where were the crime scene people? Jessica goes to her mom's house and her friend from the diner is cleaning up the blood? Highly unlikely.
Suggested correction: We don't know how much time has passed since she was killed. Crime scene people would have come and gone. And what's wrong with her friend cleaning up the blood? She's just being a good friend.
I highly doubt in a murder scene the police would make you clean it up! Think about that.
That's absolutely what happens: https://www.aftermath.com/content/who-cleans-up-murders/. https://www.biohazardresponse.com/blog/three-things-you-need-to-know-when-your-home-is-a-crime-scene/ Once evidence is dealt with, everything left isn't the responsibility of the police to clean up. Most people would hire cleaners rather than do such an unpleasant job themselves, but it's the responsibility of the property owners to clean.
That's just your opinion. Unless you know police procedure in every state then you can't make that assumption.

Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure (1989)
Character mistake: In the movie they grab Genghis Khan in 1209 which would have been correct, he ruled Mongolia from 1206 to 1227. In the presentation at the end they say in 1269 he did this and that, that would have been Kublai Khan's reighn of terror in Mongolia.
Suggested correction: Bill and Ted have proven not to be that smart. Easy for them to get those things confused.

Halloween (1978)
Corrected entry: In the opening scene, after young Michael comes out of the house with the bloody knife and his parents see him, they only utter the words "Michael?" and stand there, staring at him with their hands in their pockets. Don't you think they would be curious as to why the knife is bloody and go inside? They don't seem disturbed at all. (00:06:30)
Correction: Bad acting, sure, but hardly a plot hole. Given that Michael was carted off to a mental institute, it's pretty obvious that they did eventually do all of the things you mention. Besides, if you came home to find your kid wandering around with a blood smeared knife, you'd probably be a little shocked to do anything immediately too.
Correction: It's also Halloween night. More than likely they thought it was part of his costume.

Toy Soldiers (1991)
Continuity mistake: When Luis Cali is strapping Billy Tepper in the office, he is standing in front of the desk, while Billy is standing on the opposite side. Billy is facing him (while bending forward), so the strapping marks on Billy's back should be vertical, from head to butt, or at least diagonal. But later when the guys are cleaning the wounds, the marks are horizontal.
Suggested correction: We never see a close up of his hand or what direction it's facing. Purely speculation.

National Lampoon's Vacation (1983)
Corrected entry: When Ellen and Catherine are chatting in the kitchen when they first arrive at their house, the subject of Aunt Edna comes up. Ellen remarks, "Aunt Edna, she's still alive?" In the next scene Edna comes out of the house and says, "You're the ones who sent me the fruitcake, it made me so sick". Why would Ellen send Aunt Edna a fruit cake for Christmas when she thought she was dead?
Correction: It's possible that maybe Ellen thought Aunt Edna had died sometime between Christmas and their current vacation, which is presumably sometime during the summer.
She never specified how long ago they sent the fruitcake.

National Lampoon's Vacation (1983)
Other mistake: When Clark and the gang force the security guard onto the "screaming meemy" roller coaster, it starts to roll with no-one operating the controls.
Suggested correction: Every ride they ride would be a mistake as there was nobody to operate any of them.
Other mistake: Rennie shouldn't have been able to get on the boat at all. Being high school students, they would need a permission slip signed by their legal guardian to board the ship, just like any field trip. And, it's obvious that Charles would not sign one allowing Rennie to board. He definitely voiced his objections to the female teacher. Rennie can't make that decision on her own as she did.
Suggested correction: It was a graduation field trip. They were no longer students. Therefore she didn't need permission.
