The Waltons (1972)

Upvote valid corrections to help move entries into the corrections section.

Suggested correction: The only kerfuffle is on the bridge, between sophomores and freshmen. In front of everyone Professor Ghote says, "Walton, it occurs to me that I'd like a word with you." Next, in front of only the 2 other freshmen, Ghote wryly tells John-Boy, "Don't you think you've caused enough damage for your first day? Why don't you go home now?" Then John-Boy and his 2 freshmen friends walk off smiling. Professor Ghote did not belittle John-Boy. At this point in the day, John-Boy has racked up a bit of "damage" with Ghote, personally. First, he parked in a faculty spot; Second, he bumped into Ghote causing the Professor to drop and scatter his papers which had been alphabetized; Third, he was asked to bring the billy goat to an office, which belonged to Professor William Ghote. This is not a "character mistake" or any other type of mistake.

Clue (1985)

Revealing mistake: Near the end when Miss Scarlett points the pistol in Col. Mustard's face, over his response to her revealing everyone's secrets, you can hear the trigger click twice, like she'd accidentally shaken the grip, or an accidental pause or prop failure.

Dorothy's Book - S4-E6

Factual error: In the later seasons (4-6) all the characters keep referring to their location as 'Colorado Springs' instead of just stating 'here'. Example: "I told him to stay in Colorado Springs" instead of just stating "I told him to stay HERE"

Clue (1985)

Continuity mistake: When Professor Plum and Miss Scarlett enter the porch, the camera closes in on his hand touching her bum. But the following shot shows his arm at the center of her backside as she 'edges' away from him.

Ghosts (US) (2021)

Suggested correction: This isn't a mistake. Some ghosts generally do not like how it feels when people walk through them. And they also affect people who do walk through them, such as Flower making people high. The ghosts intentionally avoid people walking through them, unless they're being devilish like Hetty's husband Elias.

Bones (2005)

The Girl in the Mask - S4-E23

Stupidity: Everyone except Bones and Booth are curious over Dr. Tanaka's true gender identity, so Angela deliberately hugs Tanaka, then audibly 'informs' Hodgins, Saroyan, and Sweets standing 15 feet across at the doorway, that Tanaka is male, instead of discreetly informing them privately apart from Tanaka's presence.

Suggested correction: Remember, when Hodgins asks Dr Tanaka about the microsil, Tanaka replies, "I believe your partly Chinese woman will be able to reconstruct the tool," then Angela walks in saying she heard Tanaka's comment. Nakamura clarifies that Tanaka did not mean for it to sound so insulting and meant no offense (00:31:05). At the end, Angela decides to take matters into her own hands so to speak, regarding Tanaka's physical gender. So because of Tanaka's earlier rude comment about her, as well as Angela just being our Angela, after Angela hugs Tanaka, she walks back over to her team and in a normal voice Angela says, "It moved, he's a guy" (00:40:40). Angela simply did not care if Tanaka would overhear this. This is not a "stupidity" or any other kind of mistake, whatsoever.

I would add, Angela is very outspoken through the show and has shown numerous times that she will just say whatever needs to be said rather than hide away from a topic. And if we disregard everything mentioned above, about Tanaka being rude, How is it a mistake that Angela says it out loud?

Yep, agree about Angela being outspoken, that's why I mentioned "as well as Angela just being our Angela" because yes, that's exactly her just being her :).

Other mistake: The first time Kit is up to bat in the opening, she gets two strikes but holds on the third. Which is technically a ball that should have saved her. Yet gets called on a third strike.

Suggested correction: The 3rd pitch wasn't technically a ball. It was called a strike by the ump, so it was technically a strike. Not to mention it was down the middle and not even a missed call.

Bishop73

Guess the rules differed then for baseball, because technically Kit did a ball NOT a strike. Which I realise the ump or ref could have called either way. But fairly should have been a legal ball. And just because an ump or ref calls something, doesn't make it bank nor fair. They've made calls in games before, that were not what they claim. And her bat barely moved an inch. So, yes, it should have been a ball.

Balls and strikes do not depend on if the batter swings at the ball, it depends on where the baseball crosses home plate. The pitch Kit did not swing at was in what is known as the "strike zone" meaning whether she swung or not, it was technically a strike.

I'm just curious what makes you think it was a ball?

Shock Waves - S11-E1

Character mistake: When Sarah enters the lab with the bagged microchip, she tells Greg and the other CSI that she got it from Doc Robbins, when it was Super Dave who'd found it during autopsy.

Suggested correction: Sarah is standing beside Dr. Robbins when he finds the SIM card within what's left of Officer Clark's chest cavity, during autopsy (timecode 00:19:35). Dave wasn't even near Clark, he was with the corpses of Officers Morales and Hooper.

The Waltons (1972)

Suggested correction: At the end it's not "suddenly beige." Mid-episode Mary Ellen mentions a family project to, "Design you a new-looking car" and Erin adds, "We can paint it." Soon John-Boy says, "I'd like to paint it a nice dignified shade of tan." In the penultimate scene John-Boy drives Hyder and Martha Rudge back home. Time passes offscreen. It cuts to the final scene with Mary Ellen and Erin placing their new cut/sewn seat covers in the newly painted tan car, and nobody is "polishing it for their first ride."

Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman - S1-E1

Other mistake: When Emily is in crisis labor Dr. Mike sedates her and does a C section delivery. But Emily periodically regains consciousness during and after. Never once reacting to any pain from the cutting, which seems unlikely.

Season 2 generally

Revealing mistake: When Cissy is at the piano as Buffy sings and dances for Uncle Bill, only her arms move up and down instead of across the keys, indicating that's it's an off-camera person actually playing the tune. (00:16:30)

Roots (2016)

Season 1 generally

Continuity mistake: When Toby/Kunta encounters the British army captain (after strangling the overseer) most of his whipping scars are centered down his middle back, with a few marks on his shoulders. When in the prior episode, the whip struck mostly his lower left backside.

The Air Mail Man - S2-E13

Audio problem: When Todd Cooper says "Good job" to Job-Bob while examining Jim-Bobs wooden plane int he boys' bedroom, it makes a very distinct echo that lingers for almost 30-sec, and then repeats very faintly in the next shot. (00:03:20)
